(2) 粒子径が0.05mm〜0.5mmのムライト及び/又はコランダムを主要鉱物として、人工的に製造された鋳物砂用耐火粒子に対して、0.05mm〜0.5mmの大きさの粒子径を有する、磁鉄鉱を主要鉱物として、磁性を有し、1500ガウスの永久磁石による磁着率が100%である、人工的に製造された球状酸化鉄を配合せしめてなることを特徴とする鋳物砂。
(3) 粒子径が0.05mm〜0.5mmのムライト及び/又はコランダムを主要鉱物として、人工的に製造された球状の鋳物砂用耐火粒子に対して、0.05mm〜0.5mmの大きさの粒子径を有する、磁鉄鉱を主要鉱物として、磁性を有し、1500ガウスの永久磁石による磁着率が100%である、人工的に製造された球状酸化鉄を配合せしめてなることを特徴とする鋳物砂。
(4) 前記球状酸化鉄が、前記鋳物砂用耐火粒子との合計量において、0.5〜15重量%の割合となるように配合せしめられている前記態様(1)乃至(3)の何れか一つに記載の鋳物砂。
(5) 前記態様(1)乃至(4)の何れか一つに記載の鋳物砂に対して、有機系又は無機系粘結剤を混練せしめてなることを特徴とする鋳物砂組成物。
(6) 前記態様(5)に記載の鋳物砂組成物を用いて、所定形状に造型し、硬化させてなることを特徴とする鋳造用鋳型。
下記表1に示される各種の耐火粒子を用いる一方、それぞれの耐火粒子に対して、下記表1に示される球状又は粉末状の酸化鉄を、それら耐火粒子と酸化鉄の合計量に対する重量割合において、所定量(%)添加して、各種の鋳物砂を準備した。なお、用いた耐火粒子は、何れも、その粒子径が0.1mm〜0.5mmの範囲内のものであり、また、人工砂(破砕)は、従来のムライト質焼結体を破砕して得られたものであり、更に、人工砂(球状)は、市販のムライト質人工球状焼結体粒子(伊藤忠セラテック株式会社製セラビーズ)を用いた。一方、酸化鉄における球状のものは、Fe3O4とFeOとの合計含有量が97重量%以上である、磁鉄鉱を主要鉱物とする人工の球状粒子であって、0.1mm〜0.3mmの粒子径を有するものであり、また、粉末のものは、粒子径が75μm以下である、通常の酸化鉄粉末を用いた。
耐火粒子として、実施例1と同様なクロマイト砂や球状人工砂を用いる一方、同じく、実施例1と同様な球状酸化鉄を用いて、それぞれ、下記表2に示される添加量(重量基準)において添加して、それらクロマイト砂又は球状人工砂と球状酸化鉄の所定割合のものとからなる各種の鋳物砂を調製し、そして、実施例1と同様にして、産業機械用部材を鋳造するための鋳型を、それぞれ造型した。
耐火粒子として、実施例1と同様なクロマイト砂又は球状人工砂を用いる一方、酸化鉄としても、実施例1と同様な球状酸化鉄を用い、下記表3に示される添加割合において、それらを混合して、各種の鋳物砂を調製した後、実施例1と同様にして、それぞれ、格子状の鋳物を鋳造し得る鋳型を造型して、引け巣欠陥の有無を調べた。
実施例2と同様にして、耐火粒子として、クロマイト砂又は球状人工砂を用いる一方、球状酸化鉄を、下記表4に示される如き割合において添加して、それぞれ、各種の鋳物砂を調製した後、実施例2と同様な鋳造を行ない、得られた鋳物の表面近傍に存在するガス欠陥の有無を調べた。なお、このガス欠陥の調査は、得られた鋳物の表面を研削して、ガス欠陥が存在するか、どうかにおいて評価し、その結果を、下記表4に併せ示した。
Claims (3)
- 粒子径が0.05mm〜0.5mmである、ムライト及び/又はコランダムを主要鉱物として、人工的に製造された球状の鋳物砂用耐火粒子に対して、0.05mm〜0.5mmの大きさの粒子径を有する、磁鉄鉱を主要鉱物として、磁性を有し、1500ガウスの永久磁石による磁着率が100%である、人工的に製造された球状酸化鉄を、前記鋳物砂用耐火粒子との合計量において、4〜10重量%の割合となるように配合せしめてなることを特徴とする鋳物砂。
- 請求項1に記載の鋳物砂に対して、有機系又は無機系粘結剤を混練せしめてなることを特徴とする鋳物砂組成物。
- 請求項2に記載の鋳物砂組成物を用いて、所定形状に造型し、硬化させてなることを特徴とする鋳造用鋳型。
