Description
Claims (7)
- 第1の基板と第2の基板と隔壁によって形成された領域に絶縁性液体と泳動粒子が封入された画素を有する電気泳動方式表示装置であって、
前記第1の基板の前記絶縁性液体と対向する面に平面電極が形成され、前記隔壁の前記絶縁性液体と対向する面に隔壁電極が形成され、
前記平面電極と前記隔壁電極との間に印加される電圧によって画像表示され、
前記隔壁の、前記第1の基板の主面と平行な面で切った断面は前記第1の基板の前記主面と平行な方向にジグザグ状であることを特徴とする電気泳動方式表示装置。 - 第1の基板と第2の基板と隔壁によって形成された領域に絶縁性液体と泳動粒子が封入された画素を有する電気泳動方式表示装置であって、
前記第1の基板の前記絶縁性液体と対向する面に平面電極が形成され、前記隔壁の前記絶縁性液体と対向する面に隔壁電極が形成され、
前記平面電極と前記隔壁電極との間に印加される電圧によって画像が表示され、
前記隔壁は、前記第1の基板の前記主面と平行な方向にクランク状に折れ曲がっていることを特徴とする電気泳動方式表示装置。 - 第1の基板と第2の基板と隔壁によって形成された領域に絶縁性液体と泳動粒子が封入された画素を有する電気泳動方式表示装置であって、
前記第1の基板の前記絶縁性液体と対向する面に平面電極が形成され、前記隔壁の前記絶縁性液体と対向する面に隔壁電極が形成され、
前記平面電極と前記隔壁電極との間に印加される電圧によって画像が表示され、
前記隔壁には前記第1の基板の前記主面と平行な方向に突起が形成されていることを特徴とする電気泳動方式表示装置。 - 前記平面電極の面積をAとし、前記隔壁電極の面積をBとしたとき、前記Bは前記Aの90%以上であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の電気泳動方式表示装置。
- 前記隔壁は第1の方向に延在し、
前記突起の前記第1の方向の幅は、前記隔壁の前記突起以外の部分における幅と同じであることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電気泳動方式表示装置。 - 前記隔壁は互いに対向する第1の辺と第2の辺を有して第1の方向に延在し、
前記第1の辺には、第1の前記突起が形成され、
前記第2の辺には、第2の前記突起が形成され、
前記第1の前記突起と前記第2の前記突起は、互いに対向する位置に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項3または5に記載の電気泳動方式表示装置。 - 前記隔壁は互いに対向する第1の辺と第2の辺を有して第1の方向に延在し、
前記第1の辺には、第1の前記突起が形成され、
前記第2の辺には、第2の前記突起が形成され、
前記第1の前記突起と前記第2の前記突起は、前記第1の方向に互い違いに形成されていることを特徴とする請求項3または5に記載の電気泳動方式表示装置。
