Description
本願は、2008年12月29日に出願された、アメリカ合衆国特許出願第12/345,374号に対する優先権を主張し、同出願の開示は全て、参照により本願に組み込まれる。
本願の実施形態は、通信分野に関する。より具体的には例示的な実施形態は、メッシュネットワークを伴うランダム位相多重アクセス通信インターフェース・システム及びその方法に関する。
複数のユーザが存在するネットワークにおける通信を促進するために、多くの変調技術が開発されている。かかる技術としては、符号分割多元接続(CDMA)、時分割多元接続(TDMA)、及び周波数分割多元接続(FDMA)が挙げられる。CDMAは入力されるデータの変調のために、擬似乱数シーケンスを用いるスペクトラム拡散技術であり、異なる通信チャネルを相関させるために複数の伝送器が同一信号、及び直交符号(ウォルシュ符号)を送信する。TDMAは、同一のサブスロットを送信する複数のアップリンク伝送器を統合するために、タイム・スロットを用いる。ユーザは、自分自身のタイム・スロットを使って次々と矢継ぎ早に送信するので、複数の局が、利用可能な全帯域幅のうちの一部分だけを使用して同一の通信媒体(たとえば、無線周波数チャネル)を共用することが可能になる。FDMAは、異なるユーザに電波スペクトルの異なる搬送周波数を割り当てる。
例示的な実施形態は、ランダム位相多元接続通信インターフェースを用いる。このインターフェースは、直交符号を用いることなく、スペクトラム拡散変調法を用いるシステム及びデバイスに、通信可能に接続することができる。

多元接続通信ネットワークを介して通信するための方法であって、
第1のデバイスから第1の信号を受信する工程であって、前記第1の信号が第1の所定の擬似雑音(PN)符号を用いて拡散し、前記第1の信号が第1のランダム・タイミング・オフセットを有し、更に前記第1の信号が第1のペイロード・データを含む、前記受信する工程と、
前記多元接続通信ネットワークの第1の特性に基づき、前記第1のペイロード・データの第1の送信先を選択する工程と、
前記第1のペイロード・データを前記選択された第1の送信先に送信する工程と
を含む、方法。

第2のデバイスから第2の信号を受信する工程であって、前記第2の信号が第2の所定のPN符号を用いて拡散し、前記第2の信号が第2のランダム・タイミング・オフセットを有し、更に前記第2の信号が第2のペイロード・データを含む、前記受信する工程と、

前記受信器及び伝送器に電気的に連結し、前記受信器による前記第1の信号の受信を管理し、前記多元接続通信ネットワークの特性に基づいて1つ以上のデバイスからの第1のペイロード・データの第1の送信先を選択し、かつ前記伝送器による前記第1のペイロード・データの前記第1の送信先への送信を管理するように動作可能な、制御装置と
を備える、多元接続通信ネットワークを介して通信するための装置。

Claims (16)
- 多元接続通信ネットワークを介して通信するための方法であって、
第1のマイクロ・リピータが、ブロードキャスト・チャネル上のアクセス・ポイントに関連づけられたシード値を含む第1の通信信号を当該アクセス・ポイントから受信する工程と、
前記アクセス・ポイントに関連づけられたシード値に基づいて前記第1のマイクロ・リピータに関連づけられたシード値を選択する工程であって、該選択されたシード値が、前記第1のマイクロ・リピータと前記アクセス・ポイントとの間の複数の接続を特定する工程と、
前記選択されたシード値を含む第2の通信信号を、前記第1のマイクロ・リピータからタグに向けてブロードキャストする工程であって、該タグが、前記選択されたシード値に基づいてタグ・シード値を選択し、かつ、該タグ・シード値が、前記第1のマイクロ・リピータと前記アクセス・ポイントとの間の複数の接続を特定する工程と、
前記第1のマイクロ・リピータにおいて、前記タグから第1の信号を受信する工程であって、前記第1の信号が第1の所定の擬似雑音(PN)符号を用いて拡散され、かつ、前記第1の信号が、スロットの始まりに関連して第1のランダムな数のチップを含む第1の遅延の後に送信され、更に前記第1の信号が第1のペイロード・データを含む工程と、
前記第1のマイクロ・リピータにおいて、第2のデバイスから第2の信号を受信する工程であって、前記第2の信号が前記第1の所定のPN符号を用いて拡散され、かつ、前記第2の信号が、スロットの始まりに関連して第2のランダムな数のチップを含む第2の遅延の後に送信され、更に前記第2の信号が第2のペイロード・データを含み、さらに、前記第2の信号の少なくとも一部が、前記第1の信号が受信される間に受信される工程と、
第1の送信先の第1のシード値に基づいて前記第1のペイロード・データのために第1の送信先を選択する工程であって、該第1のシード値が、前記第1のマイクロ・リピータに関連づけられたシード値より小さく、かつ、前記第1の送信先が前記アクセスポイントである工程と、
第2の送信先の第2のシード値に基づいて前記第2のペイロード・データのために第2の送信先を選択する工程であって、該第2のシード値が、前記第2の送信先と前記アクセスポイントとの間の複数の接続を特定する工程と、
前記第1のペイロード・データを前記選択された第1の送信先に送信する工程と、
を含む、方法。 - 前記第1の送信先及び前記第2の送信先が同一であるかどうかを決定する工程と、
前記第1の送信先及び前記第2の送信先が同一の場合、前記第2のペイロード・データを前記第1のペイロード・データとともに、前記選択された第1の送信先に送信する工程と
を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記タグがマイクロ・リピータである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のマイクロ・リピータに関連づけられたシード値に基づいて前記タグを前記第1のマイクロ・リピータに関連付けるように前記タグから該第1のマイクロ・リピータに要求を通信する工程を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記受信した第一の通信信号の出力測定に基づいて前記タグを前記第1のマイクロ・リピータに関連付けるように前記タグから該第1のマイクロ・リピータに要求を通信する工程を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のマイクロ・リピータにおいて、アクセス・ポイントからの送信信号を受信する工程を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記受信した送信信号に基づいてタイミングを決定する工程を更に含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記受信した送信信号に基づいて送信信号出力レベルを決定する工程を更に含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のマイクロ・リピータからの1つ以上の受信されなかったメッセージに基づいて前記タグを第3のマイクロ・リピータと関連付けるように前記タグから該第3のマイクロ・リピータに要求を通信する工程を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ブロードキャスト・チャネル上で、第2の通信信号を、前記第1のマイクロ・リピータに関連づけられたシード値とともに該第1のマイクロ・リピータから送信する工程を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 隣接するデバイスに、ピアとして通信することを許可する、ブロードキャスト・チャネル・メッセージを前記第1のマイクロ・リピータから送信する工程を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記受信した通信信号から、フレーム・タイミング又は周波数ドリフトを決定する工程を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記多元接続通信ネットワークがメッシュネットワークを備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記メッシュネットワークがIEEE802.11規格のセットに基づく、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 多元接続通信ネットワークを介して通信するための第1のマイクロ・リピータであって、
ブロードキャスト・チャネル上のアクセス・ポイントに関連づけられたシード値を含む第1の通信信号を当該アクセス・ポイントから受信するよう構成された受信器と、
前記アクセス・ポイントに関連づけられたシード値に基づいて前記第1のマイクロ・リピータに関連づけられたシード値を選択するよう構成されたプロセッサであって、該選択されたシード値が、前記第1のマイクロ・リピータと前記アクセス・ポイントとの間の複数の接続を特定するプロセッサと、
前記選択されたシード値を含む第2の通信信号を、タグに向けてブロードキャストするよう構成された伝送器であって、該タグが、前記選択されたシード値に基づいてタグ・シード値を選択し、かつ、該タグ・シード値が、前記第1のマイクロ・リピータと前記アクセス・ポイントとの間の複数の接続を特定する伝送器と、
前記タグから第1の信号を受信し、ここで、前記第1の信号が第1の所定の擬似雑音(PN)符号を用いて拡散され、かつ、前記第1の信号が、スロットの始まりに関連して第1のランダムな数のチップを含む第1の遅延の後に送信され、更に前記第1の信号が第1のペイロード・データを含み、
第2のデバイスから第2の信号を受信し、ここで、前記第2の信号が前記第1の所定のPN符号を用いて拡散され、かつ、前記第2の信号が、スロットの始まりに関連して第2のランダムな数のチップを含む第2の遅延の後に送信され、更に前記第2の信号が第2のペイロード・データを含み、さらに、前記第2の信号の少なくとも一部が、前記第1の信号が受信される間に受信される
ようさらに構成された受信器と、
第1の送信先の第1のシード値に基づいて前記第1のペイロード・データのために第1の送信先を選択し、ここで、該第1のシード値が、前記第1のマイクロ・リピータに関連づけられたシード値より小さく、かつ、前記第1の送信先が前記アクセスポイントであり、
第2の送信先の第2のシード値に基づいて前記第2のペイロード・データのために第2の送信先を選択し、ここで、該第2のシード値が、前記第2の送信先と前記アクセスポイントとの間の複数の接続を特定する
よう構成された、前記受信器および伝送器に電気的に接続された制御装置と、
前記第1のペイロード・データを前記第1の送信先に送信するよう構成された伝送器と、
を備える、第1のマイクロ・リピータ。 - 前記タグがマイクロ・リピータである、請求項15に記載の第1のマイクロ・リピータ。
