Description
アグロメレーションは、当業者に知られた慣用の技術を使用して容易に測定することができる。例えば、既知堆積のカチオン交換樹脂及びアニオン交換樹脂を一緒に混合し、混床樹脂を沈着させ、沈着した混床樹脂の体積を測定する。アグロメレーションは、カチオン及びアニオン交換樹脂成分の体積の合計と比較した混床樹脂の体積の増加により示される。
強酸性カチオン交換樹脂(商品名:アンバージェット1500、水素型)1Lをカラムに充填し、カラムを脱イオン水で満たした。水溶性カチオン高分子電解質として、数平均分子量10万のポリジアリルジメチルアンモニウムクロライド[poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride):PADMAC](ナルコ(NALCO)社製)60mgを用い、これを脱イオン水に溶解し、上記カラムに流し入れた。エアミキシング下、60℃で1時間撹拌し、その後脱イオン水で充分洗浄して、水溶性カチオン高分子電解質で処理された強酸性カチオン交換樹脂を得た。
得られた水溶性カチオン高分子電解質処理強酸性カチオン交換樹脂について、特開2003−176371号の段落0022に記載の方法によりアグロメレーション試験を行った。結果を以下に示す。
分析値:50(アグロメレーションなし)
実施例1のカチオン交換樹脂を50mL、及びアニオン交換樹脂(商品名:アンバージェット4400(OH型))50mLを脱イオン水100mLと混合し、カラム(Φ25mm)に充填した。
テスト用の1価及び2価イオン含有液をそれぞれ上記カラムに流し、カラム通過後のイオン濃度を測定した。イオン含有液としては、5ppmのNa+,K+,Ca2+,及びMg2+を含有する水溶液をそれぞれ準備し(4種の水溶液を準備し)、イオン交換能を測定した。結果を表2に示す。
実施例1で用いた数平均分子量10万のポリジアリルジメチルアンモニウムクロライド60mgの代わりに、ポリジアリルジメチルアンモニウムクロライドを100mg用いた以外、実施例1と同様の操作を行い、表面が被覆されたカチオン交換樹脂を得た。
数平均分子量10万のポリアリルジメチルアンモニウムクロライド60mgの代わりに、表1に示される化合物を用いた以外、実施例1と同様の操作を行い、表面被覆された(比較例1は未処理の)カチオン交換樹脂を得た。

- 請求項1に記載の水溶性カチオン高分子電解質で処理されたカチオン交換樹脂、及びアニオン交換樹脂を含む、混床イオン交換樹脂。
- アニオン交換樹脂が表面処理されていない、請求項3に記載の混床イオン交換樹脂。
