Description
本発明は、良好な耐熱性と耐寒性の両方を有する低塗布(塗工又は適用)温度ホットメルト接着剤、基材同士を結合(又は接合)するための、ケース及びカートンを閉鎖/密閉(又はシール)するため等の該接着剤の使用方法、並びに該接着剤を含んでなる製造品を提供する。
本明細書において引用した全ての文献は、引用することによりそのまま本明細書に組み込まれる。
以下に本発明の主な態様を記載する。
1.官能化メタロセンポリエチレン共重合体を含んで成るホットメルト接着剤。
2.官能化メタロセンポリエチレン共重合体は、アクリル酸、アセテート、スルホネート、無水マレイン酸、フマル酸及びそれらの混合物から成る群から選択される官能基を含む上記1に記載の接着剤。
3.官能基は、無水マレイン酸である上記2に記載の接着剤。
4.官能基は、フマル酸である上記2に記載の接着剤。
5.官能化メタロセンポリエチレン共重合体は、非官能化メタロセンポリエチレン共重合体の重量を基準として、約0.3〜約8重量%の官能基を含む上記2に記載の接着剤。
6.官能化メタロセンポリエチレン共重合体は、非官能化メタロセンポリエチレン共重合体の重量を基準として、約0.5〜約3重量%の該官能基を含む上記5に記載の接着剤。
7.更に、粘着付与剤を含む上記1に記載の接着剤。
8.粘着付与剤は、変性ロジン粘着付与剤、C5炭化水素誘導粘着付与剤、C9芳香族変性C5炭化水素誘導粘着付与剤及びそれらの混合物から成る群から選択される上記7に記載の接着剤。
9.更に、ワックスを含む上記7に記載の接着剤。
10.ワックスは、パラフィンワックス、合成ワックス、マイクロクリスタリンワックス及びそれらの混合物から成る群から選択される上記9に記載の接着剤。
11.ワックスは、パラフィンワックスである上記10に記載の接着剤。
12.ワックスは、合成ワックスである上記10に記載の接着剤。
13.更に、充填剤、可塑剤、顔料、色素、染料又はそれらの混合物を含んで成る上記9に記載の接着剤。
14.更に、非官能化メタロセンポリエチレン共重合体を含んで成る上記9に記載の接着剤。
15.下記成分:
(a)成分の合計の重量を基準として、約20〜約50重量%の無水マレイン酸変性官能化メタロセンポリエチレン共重合体成分;
(b)成分の合計の重量を基準として、約20〜約40重量%のワックス成分;及び
(c)成分の合計の重量を基準として、約20〜約45重量%の粘着付与剤成分、
を含んで成る接着剤であって、
該無水マレイン酸変性官能化メタロセンポリエチレン共重合体は、非官能化メタロセンポリエチレン共重合体の重量を基準として、約0.3〜約8重量%の無水マレイン酸官能基を含む接着剤。
16.上記15に記載の接着剤を含んで成る製造品。
17.カートン、ケース、トレイ、バッグ、本、又は不織布構造品である上記16に記載の製造品。
18.上記15に記載したホットメルト接着剤を用いて、ケース、カートン、トレイ、バッグ又は本をシールする及び/又は形成することを含むケース、カートン、トレイ、バッグ又は本をシールする及び/又は形成する方法。
19.上記15に記載した接着剤を含むケース、カートン、トレイ又はバッグの中に含まれる包装された物品。
20.基材を同種の又は異種の基材と結合する方法であって、
少なくとも一方の基材に溶融したホットメルト接着剤組成物を塗布すること、及び該基材同士を結合することを含む方法であって、
該ホットメルト接着剤は、無水マレイン酸官能化メタロセンポリエチレン共重合体、粘着付与剤及びワックスを含む方法。
285°F(141℃)に加熱したシングルブレードミキサー中で、表1及び2に示した成分を均一になるまで一緒に混合することによって、接着剤サンプル1〜6及び比較接着剤サンプルA〜Cを調製した。
サンプル1〜6及び比較サンプルA〜Cを下記試験に供した。
No.27スピンドルを用いてBrookfield社製Thermosel粘度計でホットメルト接着剤の溶融粘度を測定した。
上記試験の結果を表3及び4に示す。
Claims (6)
- グラフトメタロセンポリエチレン共重合体、粘着付与剤及びワックスを含んで成る低塗布温度ホットメルト接着剤であって、
グラフトメタロセンポリエチレン共重合体は、無水マレイン酸グラフトメタロセンポリエチレン共重合体であり;
メタロセンポリエチレン共重合体は、エチレンと1−オクテンから作られ;かつ
250°F(121℃)で、700cP〜2000cP(mPa・s)の粘度を有する低塗布温度ホットメルト接着剤であり、
下記成分:
(a)20〜50重量%の無水マレイン酸グラフトメタロセンポリエチレン共重合体成分;
(b)20〜40重量%のワックス成分;及び
(c)20〜45重量%の粘着付与剤成分、
(成分(a)〜(c)の合計が100重量%)
を含んで成る接着剤であって、
該無水マレイン酸グラフトメタロセンポリエチレン共重合体は、グラフトされていないメタロセンポリエチレン共重合体の重量を基準として、0.3〜8重量%のグラフトされた無水マレイン酸を含み、
250°F(121℃)〜300°F(149℃)の温度で塗布できる低塗布温度ホットメルト接着剤。 - 無水マレイン酸グラフトメタロセンポリエチレン共重合体は、グラフトされていないメタロセンポリエチレン共重合体の重量を基準として、0.5〜3重量%のグラフトされた無水マレイン酸を含む請求項1に記載の接着剤。
- 更に、グラフトされていないメタロセンポリエチレン共重合体を含んで成る請求項1又は2に記載の接着剤。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載したホットメルト接着剤を用いて、厚紙、板紙、クラフト紙、チップボード、段ボール紙又はダンボール板紙が含まれる基材を含む、ケース、カートン、トレイ、バッグ及び本から選択される製造品をシールする方法。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載したホットメルト接着剤を用いて、厚紙、板紙、クラフト紙、チップボード、段ボール紙又はダンボール板紙が含まれる基材を含む、ケース、カートン、トレイ、バッグ及び本から選択される製造品を形成する方法。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載したホットメルト接着剤を含み、厚紙、板紙、クラフト紙、チップボード、段ボール紙又はダンボール板紙が含まれる基材を含む、ケース、カートン、トレイ、バッグ及び本から選択される製造品。
