Description
Claims (4)
- 磁性流体シールであって、
所定の内径を有する磁極リングと、
所定の外径を有する回転可能なシャフトであって、前記磁極リングの前記内径に沿って外気側と真空側との間に延びる回転可能なシャフトと、
前記磁極リングに結合される複数の磁石であって、所定の強度及び形状を有する磁場を放出する複数の磁石と、
前記磁極リングの内径又は前記シャフトの外径の上に形成される複数の溝の第1段と、
前記磁極リングの内径又は前記シャフトの外径の上に形成される複数の溝の第2段と
を備え、
前記第1段の複数の溝のうちの少なくとも一つの溝は、強磁性流体を含み、
前記第2段の複数の溝のうちの少なくとも一つの溝は、強磁性流体を含み、
前記第1段の複数の溝は、前記磁性流体シールの外気側と前記磁性流体シールの真空側との間に延び、
前記第2段の複数の溝は、前記磁性流体シールの外気側と前記磁性流体シールの真空側との間に延び、
前記第2段の複数の溝は前記第1段の複数の溝と分離され、
前記第1段及び第2段の複数の溝のうちの少なくとも一つの溝の中に含まれる前記強磁性流体が、前記磁石によって放出される前記磁場の所定の強度及び形状の関数として変化し、
前記外気側に近接して配置される前記第1段の複数の溝が、前記真空側に配置される前記第1段の複数の溝よりも多くの強磁性流体を含む、磁性流体シール。 - 前記複数の溝のうちの少なくとも一つの溝は、強磁性流体を含まない、請求項1に記載の磁性流体シール。
- 前記複数の溝は、前記磁極リングの内径の上に形成される、請求項1に記載の磁性流体シール。
- 前記複数の溝は、前記シャフトの外径の上に形成される、請求項1に記載の磁性流体シール。
