Description
a.ピクセル毎に、各ピクセル内の各有色サブピクセルの輝度に対応する輝度値を受信すること、及び
b.緑と赤の間の中間色を生成するときは、前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度を無調整にし、青色、シアン色又はマゼンタ色を生成するときに、各ピクセル内の前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値を低減することにより調整すること
を含み、
前記サブピクセル色は赤色、緑色及び青色であり、
前記第1のサブピクセルは青色サブピクセルであり、
前記有色サブピクセルはエレクトロルミネセンスディスプレイの一部であり、
前記調整は、前記ピクセルの前記青色、シアン色またはマゼンタ色の彩度値に基づくものであり、前記彩度値は、前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値から前記第2のサブピクセルの輝度値及び第3のサブピクセルの輝度値の単純平均又は重み付け平均のいずれかの関数の値を引いた差として算出され、
スケーリングされたパネル輝度値が超えることができない最大限界LBとしきい値TBとの指定に基づいて傾きパラメータmBが次式により計算され、
mB=(LB−TB)/(1−TB)
スケーリングされたパネル輝度値B’として、前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値が前記しきい値よりも小さな値の場合に前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値に等しく設定され、前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値が前記しきい値よりも大きな値の場合に次式により

前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値に前記傾きパラメータをかけた値が計算され、
算出された彩度値によって前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値Bと算出されたスケーリングされた輝度値B’との差としての輝度差値を重み付けし、重み付けされた輝度差値を前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値から減算することによって制限された輝度値を得る、有色ピクセルの輝度値を調整するための方法により達成される。

Claims (8)
- 有色ピクセルの輝度値を調整するための方法であって、各該ピクセルは第1のサブピクセル、第2のサブピクセル及び第3のサブピクセルを有し、該サブピクセルのそれぞれは異なる色の光を放射し、該第1のサブピクセルの寿命は、他の有色サブピクセルの寿命よりも少なく、
a.ピクセル毎に、各ピクセル内の各有色サブピクセルの輝度に対応する輝度値を受信すること、及び
b.緑と赤の間の中間色を生成するときは、前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度を無調整にし、青色、シアン色又はマゼンタ色を生成するときに、各ピクセル内の前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値を低減することにより調整すること
を含み、
前記サブピクセル色は赤色、緑色及び青色であり、
前記第1のサブピクセルは青色サブピクセルであり、
前記有色サブピクセルはエレクトロルミネセンスディスプレイの一部であり、
前記調整は、前記ピクセルの前記青色、シアン色またはマゼンタ色の彩度値に基づくものであり、前記彩度値は、前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値から前記第2のサブピクセルの輝度値及び第3のサブピクセルの輝度値の単純平均又は重み付け平均のいずれかの関数の値を引いた差として算出され、
スケーリングされたパネル輝度値が超えることができない最大限界LBとしきい値TBとの指定に基づいて傾きパラメータmBが次式により計算され、

スケーリングされたパネル輝度値B’として、前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値が前記しきい値よりも小さな値の場合に前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値に等しく設定され、前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値が前記しきい値よりも大きな値の場合に次式により

前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値Bに前記傾きパラメータをかけた値が計算され、
算出された彩度値によって前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値Bと算出されたスケーリングされた輝度値B’との差としての輝度差値を重み付けし、重み付けされた輝度差値を前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度値から減算することによって制限された輝度値を得る、有色ピクセルの輝度値を調整するための方法。 - 前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度は、無調整から前記受信した輝度値の半分までの範囲内に入るように調整される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記調整は前記範囲内で連続的であり、前記第2のサブピクセル及び前記第3のサブピクセルの輝度値に依存する、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のサブピクセルの輝度は、無調整から前記受信した輝度値の4分の1までの範囲内に入るように調整される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記調整は前記範囲内で連続的であり、前記第2のサブピクセル及び前記第3のサブピクセルの輝度値に依存する、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記彩度値は、前記第1のサブピクセルに対応する前記輝度値、及び残りのサブピクセルの輝度値の最小値の関数として計算される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記エレクトロルミネセンスディスプレイは有機発光ダイオード(OLED)ディスプレイである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記エレクトロルミネセンスディスプレイは被覆可能無機発光ダイオード(CILED)ディスプレイである、請求項1に記載の方法。
