Claims (13)
- 有色ピクセルの輝度値を調整するための方法であって、各該ピクセルは第1のサブピクセル、第2のサブピクセル及び第3のサブピクセルを有し、該サブピクセルのそれぞれは異なる色の光を放射し、該第1のサブピクセルの寿命は、他の有色サブピクセルの寿命よりも少なく、
a.ピクセル毎に、各ピクセル内の各有色サブピクセルの輝度に対応する輝度値を受信すること、及び
b.各ピクセル内の前記第1のサブピクセルの前記輝度値を低減し、それでも観察者に許容可能なピクセル色を与えること
を含む、有色ピクセルの輝度値を調整するための方法。 - 前記第1のサブピクセルの前記輝度は、無調整から前記受信した輝度値の半分までの範囲内に入るように調整される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記調整は前記範囲内で連続的であり、前記第2のサブピクセル及び前記第3のサブピクセルの輝度値に依存する、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のサブピクセルの前記輝度は、無調整から前記受信した輝度値の4分の1までの範囲内に入るように調整される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記調整は前記範囲内で連続的であり、前記第2のサブピクセル及び前記第3のサブピクセルの輝度値に依存する、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記調整は前記ピクセルの前記彩度に基づく、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記彩度は、前記第1のサブピクセルに対応する前記輝度値、及び残りの輝度値の最小値の関数として計算される、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記彩度は、前記第1のサブピクセルに対応する前記輝度値、及び残りの輝度値の最小値の関数として計算される、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記サブピクセル色は赤色、緑色及び青色である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のサブピクセルは青色サブピクセルである、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記有色サブピクセルはエレクトロルミネセンスディスプレイの一部である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記エレクトロルミネセンスディスプレイはOLEDディスプレイである、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記エレクトロルミネセンスディスプレイはCILEDディスプレイである、請求項11に記載の方法。
