C=(F・ε)/(d・VF)
[式中、Fはキャパシタ表面積を示し、εは誘電率、dは化成電圧Vに対する絶縁層の厚さを示し、かつVFは化成電圧を示す]。五酸化タンタルまたは五酸化ニオブに対する誘電率εは、それぞれ、27.6または41であるけれども、化成電圧1ボルトに対する層厚の成長dは、16.6または25Å/Vであり、双方の五酸化物は、それぞれ同様の比ε/d=1.64または1.69である。双方の五酸化物に基づくキャパシタは、アノード構造の同様のジオメトリーを有しており、同様の静電容量を有する。詳細には、比重量に関連する静電容量に関する相違は、Nb、NbOxおよびTaの異なる密度から生じるものであることは自明である。したがって、NbおよびNbOxから製造されたアノード構造は、たとえば、自動車電話に使用する場合には、重量を軽減させるといった利点を有し、その際、重量軽減は何gであっても重要である。コストの点において、NbOxはNbよりも有利であり、それというのも、アノード構造の体積のいくらかは、酸素によるものであるからである。
粉体を、プレス金型に挿入されたニオブワイヤまたはタンタルワイヤ周囲に、2.3〜3.5g/cm3のプレス密度にプレスし、粉体プレフォームを形成した。極めて有利なプレス強度を有するプレス成形体が得られた。たとえば、標準的な測定は、直径5.2mmおよび高さ5.1mmを有する円筒状のプレス成形体(ワイヤは含まない)上で、亜酸化ニオブ粉末 301gの計量された量(weight-in quantity)を用いておこない、2.8g/cm3の密度にプレスした後に、0.5〜1kgの加重量下で安定であった。
焼結されたアノード構造は、0.1質量%濃度のH3PO4を含有する水性電解質中で、85℃で、かつ30Vまでの化成電圧の150mA/gの化成電流で、かつ、120分に亘っての最終化成時間(ほぼ電流不含)で形成された。
出発材料は、水酸化ニオブのか焼によって製造される五酸化ニオブであり、この場合、この水酸化ニオブは、H2NbF7溶液からの沈殿によって、水性アンモニア溶液を用いて得られる。化学分析は以下の通りである:
Claims (8)
- キャパシタ製造用の亜酸化ニオブ粉末であって、
マグネシウムを100〜366ppm含有し、かつ、Fe、Cr、Ni、Cu、アルカリ金属およびフッ化物および塩化物のレベルがそれぞれ15ppmより低い、
亜酸化ニオブ粉末。 - Fe、Cr、Ni、Cu、アルカリ金属およびフッ化物および塩化物の量の合計が35ppmより少ない、請求項1記載の亜酸化ニオブ粉末。
- 10〜500ppmの窒素含量を有する、請求項1又は2記載の亜酸化ニオブ粉末。
- 平均組成がNbOx(その際、0.7<x<1.3)である、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の亜酸化ニオブ粉末。
- 0.3〜1.5μmの直径を有する一次粒子が凝集している凝集物を有する、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の亜酸化ニオブ粉末。
- 請求項1から5までのいずれか1項に記載の亜酸化ニオブ粉末を焼結することにより得られた、キャパシタ用の亜酸化ニオブアノード。
- 請求項6に記載の亜酸化ニオブアノードと、五酸化ニオブ障壁層とを含む、固体電解キャパシタ。
- キャパシタ製造用の亜酸化ニオブ粉末であって、
当該亜酸化ニオブ粉末が、
マグネシウムを100〜600ppm含有し、かつ、Fe、Cr、Ni、Cu、アルカリ金属およびフッ化物および塩化物のレベルがそれぞれ15ppmより低いこと、
ならびに、
製造対象のキャパシタが、前記亜酸化ニオブ粉末を焼結することにより得られた亜酸化ニオブアノードと、五酸化ニオブ障壁層とを含んで構成され、かつ、前記亜酸化ニオブアノードは、0.2nA/μFVを下回る比残留電流値を示し、ここで、該比残留電流値の測定は、25℃で18質量%濃度の硫酸でシュミレートされている対電極を用いて行われ、かつ、チャージ時間3分間の後、電圧21V(化成電圧の70%)、周波数120Hzおよびバイアス電圧10Vで行われる、
