Claims (12)
- 形彫り放電(142)加工(EDM)装置(100)であって、
流体(112)を収容するタンク(110)と、
前記タンク(110)内に固定され、前記流体(112)に浸漬された第1の固定電極(104)であって、被加工物(102)の第1の部分(122)に対して鏡像の第1の形状(120)を有する第1の固定電極(104)と、
前記流体(112)に少なくとも一部分が浸漬された前記被加工物(102)を位置決めし、動作不能位置と放電(142)加工が前記第1の部分(122)で生じる前記第1の固定電極(104)の第1の動作可能位置との間で前記被加工物(102)を横方向に交互に移動する被加工物ホルダ(130)と、
前記被加工物(102)が前記第1の動作可能位置に入ったことに応答して、物質を前記第1の部分(122)から除去するように前記第1の部分(122)と前記第1の固定電極(104)の間で放電(142)を生じさせるパルス発生器(140)と、
前記タンク(110)内の第2の電極(106)であって、前記被加工物(102)の第2の部分(162)に対して鏡像の第2の形状(120)を有する第2の電極(106)と
を備えており、前記被加工物ホルダ(130)が、放電加工が前記第1の部分(122)で生じる前記第1の固定電極(104)の前記第1の動作可能位置と、前記動作不能位置と、放電(142)加工が前記第2の部分(162)で生じる前記第2の電極(106)の第2の動作可能位置との間で前記被加工物(102)を横方向に交互に移動し、前記被加工物(102)が前記第2の動作可能位置に入ったことに応答して、物質を前記第2の部分から除去するように、前記パルス発生器(140)が、前記第2の部分(162)と前記第2の電極(106)の間で放電(142)を生じさせる、形彫り放電(142)加工(EDM)装置(100)。 - 前記放電(142)加工が、内部で浮遊する前記被加工物(102)の粒子を含む粒子含有流体(112)を生成し、前記動作不能位置と、前記第1の動作可能位置との間で前記被加工物(102)を横方向に移動することによって、前記被加工物(102)によって空いた空間(168)から前記粒子含有流体(112)を少なくとも部分的に引き出す、請求項1記載の形彫りEDM装置。
- 流体(112)を前記被加工物(102)によって空いた前記空間(168)の中に噴射するノズルをさらに備える、請求項2記載の形彫りEDM装置。
- 前記動作不能位置と、前記第1の動作可能位置及び前記第2の動作可能位置のそれぞれとの間で前記被加工物(102)を横方向に移動することによって、前記被加工物(102)によって空いた空間(168)から粒子含有流体(112)を少なくとも部分的に引き出す、請求項1記載の形彫りEDM装置。
- 前記パルス発生器(140)が、前記第1の固定電極(104)に正極性を持たせ、前記被加工物(102)に負極性を持たせる、請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項記載の形彫りEDM装置。
- 前記第1の固定電極(104)が、複数の電極セグメント(192)を含み、前記パルス発生器(140)が、各電極セグメントに結合した別個の電気パルス発生器(140)を含むものであり、他の電極セグメント(192)から独立して各電極セグメントから放電(142)を発生させる別個の各電気パルス発生器(140)に結合したパルスコントローラ(208)をさらに備える、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項記載の形彫りEDM装置。
- 各放電(142)が、強度及び持続時間がほぼ同一である、請求項6記載の形彫りEDM装置。
- 前記複数の電極セグメント(192)が、互いに離間している、請求項6記載の形彫りEDM装置。
- 前記被加工物ホルダ(130)の横方向の移動を制御する被加工物ホルダ(130)のコントローラ(132)をさらに備える、請求項6記載の形彫りEDM装置。
- 前記被加工物ホルダ(130)のコントローラ(132)が、前記被加工物(102)と前記第1の固定電極(104)の各電極セグメントとの間の電圧を検出し、検出された電圧に基づいて前記第1の固定電極(104)に向かう前記被加工物(102)の送り速度を制御する、請求項9記載の形彫りEDM装置。
- 前記被加工物ホルダ(130)のコントローラ(132)が、
前記複数の電極セグメント(192)のどれもが前記被加工物(102)に放電していないことに応答して、前記送り速度を増加させ、
前記複数の電極セグメント(192)のうちの1つが閾値よりも低い電圧で前記被加工物(102)に放電していることに応答して、前記送り速度を減少させ、又は前記第1の固定電極から前記被加工物(102)を遠ざける、
請求項10記載の形彫りEDM装置。 - 前記被加工物ホルダ(130)のコントローラ(132)が、前記複数の電極セグメント(192)の全てがほぼ同一の電圧で前記被加工物(102)に放電していることに応答して、前記第1の固定電極(104)に向かう前記被加工物(102)の前記送り速度を維持する、請求項10記載の形彫りEDM装置。
