Claims (3)
- 経路に沿って処理方向に移動される対象支持媒体に対して動的に画像を位置合わせする印刷装置であって、
前記対象支持媒体に転写する画像を生成する、マーキング・エンジンと、
前記マーキング・エンジンから転写領域において前記画像を受け取るために、前記対象支持媒体を前記経路に沿って前記処理方向に移動する、搬送部と、
前記搬送部によって以前に移動された少なくとも1つの他の支持媒体の特徴を検出する、感知システムであって、前記特徴を検出するのに用いられるベルト縁部センサ、シート縁部センサ、ポイント・センサ、及びアレイ・センサのうちの少なくとも1つを含む、感知システムと、
前記感知システムからの少なくとも1つの信号に基づいて、前記マーキング・エンジンによって生成される画像を変更する、修正モジュールと、
を備え、
前記特徴が、前記経路の、前記転写領域の前記処理方向における対向するサイドに位置する少なくとも2つの部分から検出され、
前記修正モジュールが、前記対象支持媒体の寸法、複数の前記他の支持媒体間の間隔、及び、前記対象支持媒体の前記処理方向における前後のうちの少なくとも一方にある少なくとも1つの前記他の支持媒体の存在、のうちの少なくとも1つに基づいて、生成される画像を変更する、
前記印刷装置。 - 前記少なくとも1つの信号が、前記経路に対する前記少なくとも1つの他の支持媒体の処理方向の動き、処理方向横断方向の動き、及びスキューのうちの少なくとも1つを示す、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記感知システムが、前記転写領域の前記対向するサイドのそれぞれに配置された少なくとも1つのセンサを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
