Description

本発明は、一般に、組織で形成された通路を封止及び閉鎖するための医療器具、並びに方法に関する。特に、本発明は、遠位若しくは外側の縁部または遠位若しくは外側の表面と、近位又は内側の縁部あるいは表面(すなわち壁厚)とを具備し、生物組織に形成された開口を封止又は閉鎖するためのデバイス、並びに、出血(又は他の体液若しくは組織の流出)を制御する(又は防止する若しくは止める)ための、そのようなデバイスを供給する装置及び方法に関する。該開口は、血管又は器官等の生物組織に形成された穿刺、切開又は他の開口を含む。
Claims (18)
- 生物組織に形成された開口を封止するための閉鎖デバイスであって、
(a)近位端部と遠位端部を具備するプラグと、
(b)該プラグの遠位端部に対して遠位にある位置から該プラグを介して延び、且つ該プラグの近位端部と確実な係合となるように位置付けられた塑性的に変形した屈曲を具備する剛性ワイヤと、
(c)該ワイヤに取り付けられ、且つ該プラグの前記遠位端部に対して遠位に位置づけられたフットプレートと、
を具備し、
前記フットプレートはソケットを具備した細長いプレート部分を具備し、前記ワイヤの遠位端部は前記ソケットによって捕捉されてなる閉鎖デバイス。 - 前記プラグ、前記ワイヤ、及び前記フットプレートの少なくとも1つが、少なくとも部分的に生体腐食性金属で形成される請求項1記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記生体腐食性金属がマグネシウムを含む請求項2記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記生体腐食性金属がマグネシウム合金を含む請求項2記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記マグネシウム合金がAZ31である請求項4記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記プラグが、前記ワイヤがそれを通り延在する通路を含む請求項1記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記プラグが、前記ワイヤに沿って移動可能である請求項6記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記プラグが第1の寸法を有する第1部分と該第1の寸法よりも大きい第2の大きさを有する第2部分とを具備する請求項1記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記フットプレートが前記プラグの前記第1部分に対して遠位に配置され、前記変形可能な部分が該プラグの前記第2部分に対して近位に配置される請求項8記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記プラグが実質的に円錐型である請求項8記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記プラグが前記遠位端部における遠位の表面と前記近位端部における近位の表面とを具備し、該プラグの遠位の表面の領域が、該プラグの近位の表面の領域よりも小さい請求項10記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記ワイヤが縦軸を更に具備し、前記塑性的に変形した屈曲が該縦軸から約30〜90°の角度で曲げられる請求項11記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記フットプレートが前記ワイヤの実質的にループ状の遠位部分である請求項1記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記フットプレートが、前記ワイヤの遠位端部に取り付けられた細長いプレート部分と、それを通じて形成された開口とを具備する請求項1記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記フットプレートが、長手方向に形成されたプレート部分を具備し、ヒンジにより前記ワイヤの遠位端部に取り付けられる請求項1記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記ワイヤがモノフィラメント及びマルチフィラメントからなる群から選択される伸張性のある要素を具備する請求項1記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記フットプレート及び前記プラグが生分解性である請求項1記載の閉鎖デバイス。
- 前記フットプレートは、該フットプレートが前記プラグの完全な生体分解前に完全に生体分解するように、該プラグのそれより速い速度で生体分解する請求項17記載の閉鎖デバイス。
