Description
ギ酸中のポリアミド−6,6の24%溶液を、国際公開第03/080905号パンフレットに記載のような電気ブロー加工によって紡糸してナノウェブにした。数平均繊維直径は約422nmであった。ナノウェブの公称坪量は28.5グラム/平方メートル(gsm)であり、厚さは60ミクロンであった。
国際公開第03/080905号パンフレットに記載の方法を用いて、10gsmの坪量を有するナノウェブを、ポリアミド−6,6から33.9gsmのポリエステルスパンレース(Sontara(登録商標)、Du Pont(Wilmington,DE))へと紡糸した。平均繊維直径は400nmであった。このナノウェブを、ニードルパンチによって、14オンスの部分的に固化されたポリエステルフェルト(Southern Felt)に結合した。

1. 1ミクロンより大きい繊維直径を有する繊維の第2のウェブに結合された、1ミクロン以下の繊維直径を有するポリマー繊維の第1のウェブを含む複合シートであって、前記第2のウェブの繊維の一部が、多数の不連続領域においてポリマー繊維の前記第1のウェブを通して突出する複合シート。
2. 前記第1および第2のウェブがニードルパンチによって結合される上記1に記載の複合シート。
3. 前記複合シートの平均孔径が、結合前の前記第1および第2のウェブを合わせたものの平均孔径以下である上記1に記載の複合シート。
4. 前記第1のウェブが少なくとも5gsmの坪量を有する上記1に記載の複合シート。
5. 前記第1のウェブと前記第2のウェブとの間に配置されたスクリムをさらに含む上記1に記載の複合シート。
6. 前記第1のウェブがスクリムと前記第2のウェブとの間にあるように配置されたスクリムをさらに含む上記1に記載の複合シート。
7. ポリマーナノウェブをフェルトに結合して、複合シートを形成する方法であって、前記ナノウェブおよび前記フェルトを対面する関係で提供する工程と、一部の繊維が前記フェルトから前記ナノウェブを通して突出するように、前記フェルトを前記ナノウェブにニードルパンチする工程とを含む方法。
8. 前記複合シートを熱処理する工程をさらに含む上記7に記載の方法。
9. 前記熱処理が熱間圧延または炉における加熱を含む上記8に記載の方法。
10. 熱処理が、前記ナノウェブのポリマーのガラス転移温度前後で行われる上記8に記載の方法。
11. 前記ニードルパンチの針が、前記ナノウェブの繊維の平均直径の少なくとも500倍の直径を有する上記7に記載の方法。
12. 前記ニードルパンチの針が、前記ナノウェブの繊維の平均直径の少なくとも1000倍の直径を有する上記7に記載の方法。
13. 前記熱処理の方法が圧延である上記9に記載の方法。
Claims (2)
- 1ミクロンより大きい繊維直径を有する繊維の第2のウェブに結合された、1ミクロン以下の繊維直径を有するポリマー繊維の第1のウェブを含む複合シートであって、第1および第2のウェブがニードルパンチによって結合されており、第2のウェブの繊維がニードルパンチによって第1のウェブに開けられた孔を埋める働きをし、かつ第2のウェブの繊維を第2のウェブに固定したまま、第2のウェブが第1のウェブの表面を越えて突出するようにその長さの一部を第1のウェブに押し通し、ここで、第1および第2のウェブの繊維が混ぜられていないことを特徴とする複合シート。
- ポリマーナノウェブをフェルトに結合して、複合シートを形成する方法であって、前記ナノウェブおよび前記フェルトを対面する関係で提供する工程と、一部の繊維が前記フェルトから前記ナノウェブを通して突出するように、かつナノウェブとフェルトの繊維が混ざらないように前記フェルトを前記ナノウェブにニードルパンチする工程とを含む方法。
