Description
ポリ(メチルシルセスキオキサン)(PMSSQ)とNIPAMとのブロックコポリマーを調製する。該ブロックコポリマーは、約20質量%のPMSSQおよび80質量%のNIPAMからなる。該ブロックコポリマーをTHFに溶解し、ガラス管の表面にスピン被覆し、続いて50℃で20分間硬化させる。
シリカのコアおよびPNIPAMのシェルを有する粒子を調製する。実験で、PNIPAM/シリカのコア−シェル型粒子の流体力学的直径は、溶液温度が上昇するにつれて減少する。25℃で、PNIPAMは、親水性かつ水溶性であり、ナノ球の流体力学的直径は、約440ナノメートルであり、かつPNIPAM鎖は、コイル状状態であり、シリカコアの外側表面上で溶媒和されたコンパクトでないナノシェルを形成する。コア−シェル型ナノ構造の流体力学的直径は、25℃から36℃までの温度上昇と共に、440ナノメートルから295ナノメートルまで徐々に減少し、これは、PNIPAM鎖の水溶性が、溶液温度を上昇させると共に減少したという事実に由来する。

- 基体と、
感熱材料を含む表面層と、
を備え、
前記感熱材料が、アクリルアミドポリマーのブロックおよびポリシルセスキオキサンのブロックを含むブロックコポリマーであることを特徴とする画像形成部材。 - 熱供給源と、
インク供給源と、
(i)基体と、(ii)感熱材料を含む表面層とを有する画像形成部材と、
を備え、
前記感熱材料が、アクリルアミドポリマーのブロックおよびポリシルセスキオキサンのブロックを含むブロックコポリマーであることを特徴とする印刷装置。 - 請求項2に記載の印刷装置において、
前記アクリルアミドポリマーのブロックと前記ポリシルセスキオキサンのブロックとが、二価の連結子で隔てられている、印刷装置。 - 請求項2に記載の印刷装置において、
前記基体と前記表面層との間に吸収層をさらに備え、
当該吸収層は、照射線又は音響エネルギーを吸収可能である、印刷装置。
