Description

Claims (5)
- 紫外光によって液体を消毒するための方法において、
消毒されるべき液体を、紫外光を概ね透過するUV透過性導管を貫通して流す工程と、
前記液体に1つ以上の長尺状の紫外光源からの紫外光を照射する工程であって、前記1つ以上の長尺状の紫外光源の各々は、紫外光を概ね透過するとともに外寸が前記UV透過性導管の内径よりも小さいUV透過性長尺スリーブに配備され、前記UV透過性長尺スリーブは該スリーブの長手方向軸が前記UV透過性導管の長手方向軸と概ね直角をなすように前記UV透過性導管の内部に配置されている、前記液体に1つ以上の長尺状の紫外光源からの紫外光を照射する工程とを備え、
前記紫外光の一部は前記UV透過性導管と該導管を囲む空気の界面において全反射をしている、紫外光によって液体を消毒するための方法。 - 前記UV透過性導管の外面の一部はUV反射性コーティングでコーティングされて、前記紫外光のさらなる部分は前記UV反射性コーティングによって反射される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記UV反射性コーティングでコーティングされた部分は前記UV透過性長尺スリーブに相対的に近接し、全反射を受けることができない光線を前記液体の内部に反射して戻す、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記UV反射性コーティングはアルミニウム又は金を含んでなる、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記UV反射性コーティングは多層誘電体材料を含んでなる、請求項2に記載の方法。
