Description
インターポーザ・アセンブリは、対向する平行な基板上の接点のフィールドの間に電気接続を確立する。従来のインターポーザ・アセンブリは、上下面との間を伸びる通路と、この通路内の接点とを備えた単一の絶縁板を有し、前記上下面に接点ノーズを有している。接点は、対をなす対向パッド間に電気接続を確立するために対向基板上のパッドと同一パターンで位置づけられている。インターポーザ・アセンブリは、接点を位置づけしてパッドに係合させるためにピンまたはカラーにより上下基板に取り付けてある。
Claims (22)
- 2つの互いに対向する基板上のパッド間に電気接続を形成するためのインターポーザ・アセンブリであって、このインターポーザ・アセンブリは、
二つの互いに平行して対向配置された基板と、前記二つの基板間の空間とを有し、各々の前記基板は、前記空間に面する側に接触パッドを有し、前記二つの基板の一方の接触パッドと他方の接触パッドとは、互いにずれて配置され、さらに前記インターポーザ・アセンブリは、前記二つの基板間の前記空間に平行して重ねて配置された第1と第2の板を有し、これらの各板は、固定した絶縁体材料から作られていて、外側と内側を有し、前記外側は隣接する前記基板側に面していて、前記板の内側同士が対向しており、前記板の各々は隣接する前記基板に搭載されていて、さらに前記インターポーザ・アセンブリは、前記第1と第2の板の内側に第1の横方向ずれ境界面を有し、該ずれ境界面では、該境界面に沿ったどの方向にも前記板を横方向へ相対移動でき、さらに前記インターポーザ・アセンブリは、複数の連続した電気回路通路(circuit paths)を有し、各回路通路は、前記第1の板に隣接する基板上のパッドに結合するための前記第1の板の前記外側の第1の接触面と、前記第2の板に隣接する基板上のパッドに結合するための前記第2の板の外側の第2の接触面と、これら接触面を連結する導体とを有し、この導体は、前記第1の横方向ずれ境界面を横切って前記第1と第2の板を貫通し、前記板の前記境界面に沿った横方向ずれは、前記板の前記接触面を位置決めして、前記ずれて配置された前記基板上の前記接触パッド同士を結合させて前記接触パッド間に電気接続を形成する前記インターポーザ・アセンブリ。 - 前記第1と第2の板の間に配置された第3の板を有し、前記回路通路は、前記第3の板を貫通する請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 第2の横方向ずれ境界面を有する請求項2記載のアセンブリ。
- 各回路通路は、前記両接触パッドの間を伸長する単一の導体部材を有する請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 各回路通路は、複数の導体部材と、2つの隣接する導体部材間の圧力接続とを有する請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 各回路通路において前記圧力接続は、前記横方向ずれ境界面のところに位置づけられている請求項5記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記パッド係合接点は、接点ノーズを有する請求項6記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記導体は、金属条片を有する請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 各前記接触面は、単一の曲げ上げタブを有する請求項8記載のアセンブリ。
- 各タブは、条片の長手軸上に又はこの長手軸に隣接して位置づけられている請求項9記載のアセンブリ。
- 各前記接触面は、2つのせん断形成縁コーナの交差点に2重の湾曲チップを有している請求項10記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記第1の板の第1の開口と、前記第2の板の第2の開口と、これらの開口内の整列部材とを有し、一方の開口は、前記横方向シフト・インターフェイスに沿って前記第1と第2の板の移動を可能にするために前記整列部材より大きい請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記整列部材は、ピンを有し、前記開口は、孔を有する請求項12記載のアセンブリ。
- 各孔から内方へ伸長するカラーを有し、前記ピンは、前記カラーを貫通する請求項13記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記横方向ずれ境界面は、滑動する横方向ずれ境界面を有する請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記横方向ずれ境界面は、開かれた横方向のシフト・インターフェイスを有する請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記両板を分離するスペーサを有する請求項16記載のアセンブリ。
- 各板用の整列カラーを有し、前記カラーは、前記基板に前記両板を取り付けるようにした請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 各回路通路は、第1の端部を有し、この端部は、第1の2重湾曲チップで交差するせん断形成縁を備えた第1の曲げ上げタブを有する請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記チップは、前記回路通路の長手軸に、または、この長手軸に隣接して位置づけられている請求項19記載のアセンブリ。
- 互いに対向してずれて配置された基板上のパッド間に電気接続を形成するための方法であって、
a)二つの互いに重なって配置された板と、前記二つの板の間のどの横方向にもずれる横方向ずれ境界面とを有するインターポーザ・アセンブリを用意するステップと;
b)前記インターポーザ・アセンブリを前記対向してずれて配置された基板の間に位置決めすることにより、第1の接点を一方の基板のパッド隣接して一方の板の外側に位置づけ、そして、第2の接点を他方の基板上のパッドに隣接して他方の板の外側に位置づけるステップであって、前記インターポーザ・アセンブリが第1と第2の接点間に伸張し、かつ前記境界面を横切る回路経路を持つ、前記位置決めするステップと、
c)前記基板間のずれがあっても、前記一方の基板上のパッドと前記第1の接点を整列し、そして、前記他方の基板上のパッドと前記第2の接点を整列するために、前記インターポーザ・アセンブリの前記二つの板の間に位置する横方向ずれ境界面に沿って前記インターポーザ・アセンブリの前記二つの板を横方向にずらすステップと、
d)前記第1の接点と前記一方の基板上のパッドとの間に接続を形成し、そして、前記第2の接点と前記他方の基板上のパッドとの間に接続を形成して電気的接続を形成するステップを有する前記方法。 - e) 前記第1と第2の接点を第2の横方向ずれ境界面に沿って横方向にずらすステップを有する請求項21記載の前記方法。
