Description
しかし、下廃水処理、汚泥濃縮などにおいて固液分離に使用される浸漬型膜分離装置などに用いる樹脂成形品付きフィルタなどは、廃水や汚泥中に鉛直方向に設置した樹脂成形品付きフィルタに対して、下方に設置した散気装置から細かい気泡が混じった水流を吹き付けるような使い方をしている。樹脂成形品付きフィルタに対して細かい気泡が混じった水流を吹き付けると、フィルタと樹脂成形品を接合している溶着部分に機械的な負荷が加わり、フィルタが溶着部分で破れたり、溶着部分が剥がれたりすることがあった。
それでも溶着強度に問題が多く見られた。すなわち、押さえ治具となる工具ホーンに突起を施したり、樹脂成形品の表面に突起を施したりすると、厚さが薄いフィルタが破れるおそれがあり、微細な溶着条件設定が必要で安定性に欠けていた。また、大型の樹脂成形品では、溶着予定位置のフィルタの下部に「ひけ」ができてしまうことがあり、その部分ではフィルタと樹脂成形品の間にわずかな隙間ができて溶着できず、溶着状態がまだらになる溶着斑が発生して溶着強度が保てないという問題があった。そして、更に使用環境が厳しくなるとフィルタがその溶着部分で破れたり、溶着部分が剥がれたりすることがあった。そのため、これらフィルタなどのシート状部材を樹脂成形品に溶着する際に充分な溶着強度が安定的に得られる新たな溶着方法が求められていた。
本発明を実施するための形態について、図面と共に説明する。図1は、本発明の実施の形態1に係る溶着方法で溶着する樹脂成形品とシート状部材であるフィルタを斜視図で示している。フィルタ1は、上水や廃水などの濾過または濃縮に用いられるもので、飽和ポリエステルなどの熱可塑性の不織布を支持体として表面に濾過膜を一体に形成している。
図3は、本発明の実施の形態1に係る溶着機と、溶着する樹脂成形品とフィルタの位置関係を示した斜視図で、下端に工具ホーン8を備えた超音波溶着機7a、7bを2つずつ、計4つの超音波溶着機を樹脂成形品2の段差部の下段面3の四隅の近傍に配置していることを示している。超音波溶着機7a、7bは、図示しない支持手段と駆動手段によって、それぞれの工具ホーン8をA矢印のように上下に動かす。
図6(a)は、本発明の実施の形態1に係る溶着方法で溶着する前の樹脂成形品2にフィルタ1を配置したときの部分平面図を示している。図中、二点鎖線で囲った部分が工具ホーン8の当接する領域である。図6(b)は、本発明の実施の形態1に係る溶着方法で溶着した後の樹脂成形品付きフィルタ1の部分平面図を示したもので、段差部の上段面4が工具ホーン8により押されて上段面4より低い4bの面まで下がるとともに、段差部の上段面4が工具ホーン8により押し広げられることにより、溶融部分9がフィルタ1の上に乗り上げて、溶融部分9と樹脂成形品の段差の下段面3とで断面コの字状にフィルタ1を挟んでおり、かつ溶着した状態になっている。
なお、工具ホーン8の下面をフィルタ1のある内側に向けて傾斜させておくことにより、図7のように段差部の上段面4を4cのように傾斜して押し下げ、溶融部分9の先端をフィルタ1に食い込ませてもよい。溶融部分9が食い込む方向に傾くと、くさび効果がでて把持力が増大する効果が得られる。
(実施の形態2)
上記の実施の形態1では、樹脂成形品の段差部を二段階の段差を持つ場合を説明したが、これは樹脂成形品の剛性を保つためと、溶融部分がフィルタと反対側に流出しないようにするために外側の段差部、つまり最上段面6と上段面4の段差の部分が役立つためである。本発明は実施の形態1で示した二段階の段差部以外の段差部をもつ樹脂成形品を用いた場合についても適用できる。
一つの段差部をもつ樹脂成形品の場合であっても、図8に示すように段差部の上段面12のフィルタ側の半分だけを工具ホーン8で超音波振動を加えながら押圧していけば、溶融部分がフィルタと反対側に流出しないようにすることができる。そして、実施の形態1と同様に樹脂成形品でフィルタの上面と下面を断面コの字状に挟んだ状態にして樹脂成形品とフィルタを溶着することができる。
(実施の形態3)
次に、本発明の実施の形態3に係る溶着方法、溶着機、溶着した樹脂成形品付きフィルタについて説明する。実施の形態1では、フィルタの四隅を溶着する例を示したが、実施の形態3ではフィルタの縁部の全周を樹脂成形品で断面コの字状に挟んだ状態で溶着することにより溶着強度を高めている点に特徴がある。
(実施の形態4)
次に、実施の形態4について説明する。図10に、本発明の実施の形態4のシート状部材と樹脂成形品と溶着機の位置関係を斜視図で示す。
このことにより、本発明の実施の形態4では、工具ホーン28で溶融した樹脂成形品の溶融部分をシート状部材31の上に乗り上げさせて、シート状部材31を断面コの字状に挟んだ状態で溶着するので、強い溶着強度が得られる。
なお本発明は、段差部を有する樹脂成形品と樹脂成形品の段差部の下段面で支持したフィルタ等のシート状部材を溶着するときに、樹脂成形品の段差部の下段面でシート状部材を支持した状態で、樹脂成形品の段差部の上段面を溶融して、樹脂成形品の溶融部分をシート状部材上に乗り上げさせて、シート状部材を樹脂成形品の溶融部分と樹脂成形品の段差部の下段面で挟んだ状態にして、樹脂成形品とシート状部材とを溶着するようにしている。
実施の形態1から4においては、樹脂成形品の段差部の上段面を溶融する手段として超音波で振動する工具ホーンを押し当てる超音波溶着手段を用いた例を示しており、当該超音波用着手段を用いることで、工具ホーンから樹脂成形品に超音波振動が加わり、樹脂成形品に内部発熱を生じさせることから、フィルタの上部及び下部の両方から同時に樹脂成形品の溶融部分を浸透させて溶着させることができる。

Claims (3)
- 段差部を有する樹脂成形品と
前記樹脂成形品の段差部の下段面で支持したシート状部材を
超音波で振動する工具ホーンで超音波溶着する溶着方法であって、
前記樹脂成形品の段差部を複数段の段差部として形成し、
前記複数段の段差部の高さを前記樹脂成形品の内側から外側に向かって高くなるように形成しておき、
前記樹脂成形品の段差部の最下段面でシート状部材を支持した状態で、前記樹脂成形品の段差部の最下段面に隣接する段差の上段面を前記工具ホーンで溶融して、
前記樹脂成形品の溶融部分を前記シート状部材上に乗り上げさせて前記シート状部材を前記溶融部分と前記樹脂成形品の段差部の最下段面で挟んだ状態となし、
その状態でさらに前記工具ホーンで前記樹脂成形品の溶融部分と前記シート状部材との間と、前記シート状部材と前記樹脂成形品の段差部の最下段面との間を、それぞれ溶着するようにしたことを特徴とする溶着方法。 - 段差部を有する樹脂成形品と

超音波で振動する工具ホーンで超音波溶着する溶着機であって、
前記工具ホーンを支持する支持手段と、
前記工具ホーンを超音波振動させるとともに、溶着対象物である樹脂成形品の所定の位置で上下動させる駆動手段と、を有し、
前記樹脂成形品は複数段の段差部を持ち、前記複数段の段差部の高さを前記樹脂成形品の内側から外側に向かって高くなるように形成され、前記樹脂成形品の段差部の最下段面にシート状部材が支持されたものであり、
前記工具ホーンは、前記樹脂成形品の段差部の最下段面に隣接する段差の上段面の一部と前記シート状部材を支持する最下段面の一部を前記樹脂成形品とシート部材に当接する領域とし、前記支持手段により前記樹脂成形品の段差部の最下段面に隣接する段差の上段面に配置され、前記駆動手段により超音波振動することで前記樹脂成形品を溶融することで、前記樹脂成形品の溶融部分を前記シート状部材上に乗り上げさせて前記シート状部材を前記溶融部分と前記樹脂成形品の段差部の最下段面で挟んだ状態とし、その状態でさらに前記樹脂成形品の溶融部分と前記シート状部材との間と、前記シート状部材と前記樹脂成形品の段差部の最下段面との間を、それぞれ溶着するものであることを特徴とする溶着機。 - 段差部を有する樹脂成形品と

その状態でさらに前記工具ホーンで前記樹脂成形品の溶融部分と前記シート状部材との間と、前記シート状部材と前記樹脂成形品の段差部の最下段面との間を、それぞれ溶着するようにしたことを特徴とする溶着した樹脂成形品付きシート状部材。
