Claims (4)
- 軸体に転がり軸受を外嵌装着し、この軸体の一端側を径方向外向きに膨出変形させたかしめ部を、前記かしめ部の外端面に径方向に沿う平坦面が形成されるように、転がり軸受の内輪の外端面に対して密着するようにローリングかしめ治具を用いて押し付けることによって軸体に転がり軸受を抜け止め固定したハブユニットの製造方法であって、
前記ローリングかしめ治具は、先端面の中心に形成された凸部と、先端面の外周縁に形成された輪状膨出部と、凸部と輪状膨出部との間に形成された環状陥没部とを有し、
前記環状陥没部の底部には、中心軸に対して直交する仮想平面に対して傾斜する傾斜面が形成され、
前記傾斜面の傾斜角度θ1は、ローリングかしめ過程におけるかしめ治具の中心軸に対する傾斜角度αと同一とされ、前記傾斜面により前記平坦面が形成され、
前記かしめ部の状態を目視して前記かしめ部全体が前記内輪側に対して密着した状態であれば良品と判定し、前記かしめ部の一部が前記内輪側から浮いた状態であれば不良品と判定することを特徴とするハブユニットの製造方法。 - 請求項1記載のハブユニットの製造方法において、前記かしめ部の軸方向幅寸法を管理することにより、ハブユニットの軸方向の全長寸法を管理した、ことを特徴とするハブユニットの製造方法。
- 請求項2記載のハブユニットの製造方法において、前記平坦面をハブユニットの取付対象に対する取付基準面とした、ことを特徴とするハブユニットの製造方法。
- 請求項3記載のハブユニットの製造方法において、
前記軸体は、ドライブシャフトに嵌合され、
前記ハブユニットの取付対象は、前記ドライブシャフトの軸方向途中部分に形成された段部の径方向に沿った端面である、ことを特徴とするハブユニットの製造方法。
