(i)Aは、周期律表のI族からの元素、およびその混合物からなる群より選択され、0<a<4(a=2を除く)であり、
(ii)Niは2価カチオンであり、0<b<2であり、
(iii)MIIは、V4+、Zr4+、Ru4+、Pd4+、Sn4+、Mo4+、Pt4+、C4+、およびその混合物からなる群より選択され、0<c<2であり、a=2bおよびb=2−cであり、
(iv)A、Ni、MII、a、bおよびcは、その新生状態で電極活性材料の電気的中性を維持するように選択される)
によって表される電極活性材料を含む陽極を備え、
3.354Å〜3.370Åの、X線回折によって得た面間格子(002)d値(d(002))を有する黒鉛からなるインタカレーション活性材料を含む陰極と、
電解質と、
をさらに備えたバッテリ。 - 黒鉛が少なくとも200Åの、X線回折によって得たc軸方向の結晶サイズ(Lc)をさらに有する、請求項1記載のバッテリ。
- 黒鉛が200Å〜1,000Åの、X線回折によって得たc軸方向の結晶サイズ(Lc)を有する、請求項2記載のバッテリ。
- 黒鉛が1μm〜30μmの平均粒径をさらに有する、請求項2記載のバッテリ。
- 黒鉛が0.5m2/g〜50m2/gの比表面積と、1.9g/cm3〜2.25g/cm3の真密度をさらに有する、請求項4記載のバッテリ。
- 陽極が陽極集電体の各側にコーティングされた陽極フィルムを備え、各陽極フィルムが10μm〜150μmの厚さを有し、陽極集電体が5μm〜100μmの厚さを有する、請求項1記載のバッテリ。
- 各陽極フィルムが結合剤をさらに含む、請求項6記載のバッテリ。
- 結合剤がポリビニリデンフルオリドである、請求項7記載のバッテリ。
- 陽極フィルムが導電性剤をさらに含む、請求項8記載のバッテリ。
- AがLiであり、0<a≦3(a=2を除く)、0<b≦1.5、および0<c≦1.5である、請求項1記載のバッテリ。
