Description
100グラムの非晶質樹脂ポリ(プロポキシル化ビスフェノール−A−フマレート)を2Lのフラスコの中に量り込んでから、約1200gの酢酸エチルに溶解させ、加熱して約65℃とした。
樹脂エマルション例1を繰り返したが、非晶質樹脂に代えて、エチレンジオール、ドデカン二酸、およびフマル酸から製造した結晶質樹脂約100グラムを使用した。
樹脂エマルション例2を繰り返したが、ただし、約10.3グラムの電荷調節剤に加えて、約89.7グラムの結晶質樹脂を使用した。
2Lのフラスコに、約130グラムの樹脂エマルション例1(約12.45パーセント固形分)、約77.5グラムの樹脂エマルション例2(約11.24パーセント固形分)、約15.1グラムの着色剤(約17.05パーセント黒色顔料)、約12.66グラムのワックスエマルション(約21.85パーセント固形分)および約36グラムの脱イオン水を加えた。
トナー参考例1を製造するためのプロセスは、比較トナー例を製造するためのプロセスと同様であるが、ただし、樹脂エマルション例1に代えて、約163.4グラムの樹脂エマルション例3(約10.15パーセント固形分)を使用した。得られたトナーには、約51パーセントの非晶質樹脂、約29パーセントの結晶質樹脂、約8パーセントのワックス、約9パーセントの着色剤、および約3パーセントの電荷調節剤が含まれていた。
トナー参考例2を製造するためのプロセスは、比較トナー例を製造するためのプロセスと同様であるが、ただし、トナー中には結晶質樹脂を存在させなかった。得られたトナーには、約80パーセントの非晶質樹脂、約8パーセントのワックス、約9パーセントの着色剤、および約3パーセントの電荷調節剤が含まれていた。
トナー参考例3を製造するためのプロセスは、トナー参考例1を製造するためのプロセスと同様であるが、ただし、そのトナーの中には結晶質樹脂を存在させなかった。得られたトナーには、約83パーセントの非晶質樹脂、8パーセントのカルナウバワックス、および9パーセントの黒色顔料が含まれていた。
トナー実施例4を製造するためのプロセスは、トナー参考例1を製造するためのプロセスと同様であるが、ただし、樹脂エマルション例2に代えて、約91.6グラムの樹脂エマルション例4(約9.51パーセント固形分)を使用した。得られたトナーには、約54パーセントの非晶質樹脂、約26パーセントの結晶質樹脂、約8パーセントのカルナウバワックス、および9パーセントの黒色顔料、ならびに約3パーセントの電荷調節剤が含まれていた。
Claims (3)
- 結晶質樹脂、非晶質樹脂および電荷調節剤を有するトナー粒子を含むトナー組成物であって、
前記電荷調節剤は、前記トナー粒子が形成される前に前記結晶質樹脂中に組み込まれ、
前記結晶質樹脂および該樹脂に組み込まれた前記電荷調節剤の少なくとも一部は、前記トナー粒子の外側部分に位置しており、
前記トナー粒子は、−0.1mm変位から−12mm変位までのA−ゾーン電荷分布およびC−ゾーン電荷分布を有するトナー組成物。 - 結晶質樹脂および次式の電荷調節剤を含むエマルジョンを形成することにより、前記電荷調節剤を前記結晶質樹脂中に組み込む工程と、
前記結晶質樹脂および前記電荷調節剤のエマルションと、前記非晶質樹脂のエマルションとを組み合わせて、前駆トナー混合物を形成させる工程と、
前駆トナー混合物をアグリゲートおよびコアレスさせて、トナー粒子を形成させる工程と、
を含み、
ここで、R1、R2およびR3がそれぞれ独立して水素またはアルキルであり、R4およびR5がそれぞれ独立してアルキルであり、xが0.4〜0.8の数であり、そしてyが0.2〜0.6の数であり、
前記結晶質樹脂および該樹脂に組み込まれた前記電荷調節剤の少なくとも一部は、前記トナー粒子の外側部分に位置しているトナーの製造方法。 - 画像を現像するための方法であって、
請求項1に記載の前記トナー組成物を基材に適用して画像を形成させる工程と、
