Description
図9は、上記実施形態の変形例として、誘電体多層膜12の構成を示す側面断面図である。上記実施形態に係る反射型空間光変調素子1は、図1に示した透明層6と誘電体多層膜7に代えて、図9に示す誘電体多層膜12を備えても良い。
Claims (4)
- 前方から入射した光を反射しつつ、入射光および反射光の位相を制御する反射型空間光変調素子であって、
液晶を光変調材料とし、前記入射光を変調する液晶層と、
前記入射光を反射する反射層と、
前記液晶層の一界面において前記入射光および前記反射光の位相をずらすために前記液晶層と前記反射層との間に配置された位相シフト層と、を備え、
前記位相シフト層は、入射した光と前記反射層により反射された光のピーク同士が互い に重畳しないように位相をシフトさせることを特徴とする、反射型空間光変調素子。 - 前記位相シフト層の光学膜厚が、前記入射光の波長以上であることを特徴とする、請求 項1に記載の反射型空間光変調素子。
- 前記位相シフト層の光学膜厚が、前記入射光のパルス幅をτ、光の速さをcとして(τ×c)/30以上であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の反射型空間光変調素子。
- 前記液晶層と対向する誘電体多層膜を備え、
前記誘電体多層膜は、
第1の層が前記位相シフト層を構成し、
前記第1の層を除く他の層が前記反射層を構成することを特徴とする、請求項1〜3の いずれか一項に記載の反射型空間光変調素子。
