Description
以下に、この発明の第1実施形態を、図1〜図3に基づいて説明する。
図1に示すように、この実施形態においては、エンジンのシリンダブロック(図示しない)に固着したシリンダヘッド11上に、耐熱合成樹脂製のシリンダヘッドカバー12が装着されている。シリンダヘッドカバー12の頂壁内面には、区画壁12aが突出形成されている。区画壁12aの下端縁には、耐熱合成樹脂製の第1の部材としてのバッフルプレート13が溶着されている。そして、このバッフルプレート13と区画壁12aとシリンダヘッドカバー12の頂壁との間には、ブローバイガスから潤滑オイルを分離するためのオイルセパレータ室14が形成されている。なお、オイルセパレータ室14内には、ブローバイガスから潤滑オイルを分離するための図示しない手段が設けられている。
(1) 図2に示すように、バッフルプレート13と溝部材15とを凹溝15aの開口両側の溶着部17において溶着する際に、溶着部17に溶着バリFが発生しても、その溶着バリFが壁部18により流路19内へ侵入しないように規制されて、空隙G内に落下して収容される。よって、溶着バリFが流路19内に入り込んで、供給孔21に孔詰まりを生じる等の支障を来たすおそれを防止することができる。
次に、この発明の第2実施形態を、前記第1実施形態と異なる部分を中心に説明する。
さて、この第2実施形態においては、図4に示すように、一対の壁部18が溝部材15の凹溝15aの底壁内面に突出形成されている。そして、溝部材15が凹溝15aの開口外側の溶着部17においてバッフルプレート13に溶着された状態で、各壁部18の先端面がバッフルプレート13の下面に圧着されて、凹溝15a内に流路19が形成されている。
(第3実施形態)
次に、この発明の第3実施形態を、前記第1実施形態と異なる部分を中心に説明する。
(3) 壁部18がフランジ部15b上に形成されているため、凹溝15a内の流路19の幅を広く形成でき、多量の潤滑オイルを流すことができる。
なお、この実施形態は、次のように変更して具体化することも可能である。
・ 前記実施形態において、一対の壁部18をバッフルプレート13及び溝部材15にそれぞれ形成し、バッフルプレート13と溝部材15とを溶着部17において溶着した状態で、バッフルプレート13及び溝部材15の壁部18の先端面が互いに圧着されるように構成すること。
Claims (4)
- 板状をなす第1の部材と、板状をなすとともに凹溝を有する第2の部材とを重ね合わせた状態で、前記凹溝の開口両側の溶着部において両部材をレーザ溶着したレーザ溶着構造において、
前記第1の部材と第2の部材との少なくともいずれか一方には、前記凹溝の両側内部を溶着部と区画するための一対の壁部を形成し、
前記第1の部材は、シリンダヘッドカバーの内側に配置されるバッフルプレートであり、前記第2の部材は、前記バッフルプレートの下面に固定されるとともに、前記凹溝を潤滑オイルが流れる溝部材であり、
前記溶着部は、前記バッフルプレートと前記溝部材との少なくともいずれか一方に形成された突部と、その突部に接合可能に対応する他方の部材の接合面とからなるとともに、前記凹溝の延びる方向において所定間隔おきに複数、形成されていることを特徴とするレーザ溶着構造。 - 前記壁部及び突部を溶着前の状態において前記突部と接合面との間に間隙が形成される高さに形成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のレーザ溶着構造。
- 前記溝部材の底壁に供給孔を形成し、潤滑オイルが前記凹溝を流れるとともに、前記供給孔から所要位置に対して供給されるようにしたことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のレーザ溶着構造。
- 請求項1〜3のうちのいずれか一項に記載のレーザ溶着構造において、前記突部を第1または第2の部材に圧接させた状態で突部の位置にレーザ光を照射して、前記突部を溶融させて圧潰させることにより、第1の部材と第2の部材とを溶着するとともに、前記壁部の先端面を対向する部材に圧着させることを特徴とするレーザ溶着方法。
