Description
本発明は接着剤組成物に関する。本発明は接着剤組成物を含む物品にも関する。
(a)オレフィンと約3重量%〜約15重量%の官能性コモノマーのコポリマーおよび
(b)高分子ベース樹脂
を含む高分子接着剤組成物であって、約5〜約50重量%の成分(a)および約50〜約95重量%の成分(b)を含む高分子接着剤組成物である。

本発明の接着剤組成物は、オレフィンと官能性コモノマーから調製されたコポリマー、より詳しくは、オレフィン、特にエチレンと無水マレイン酸またはその官能的同等物とのコポリマーを含む。
接着剤組成物は第2の成分として熱可塑性ポリマーベース樹脂を含む。組成物中で用いられるポリマーは、例えば、高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)、低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)、線状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)、超高分子量ポリエチレン(UHMWPE)、超低密度ポリエチレン(ULDPE)、メタロセンポリエチレン、すなわちMPE(メタロセン触媒を用いて得られたエチレンとアルファオレフィンモノマーのコポリマー)、エチレン/プロピレンコポリマー、エチレン/プロピレン/ジエンモノマー(EPDM)などのターポリマーならびにポリプロピレンホモポリマーおよびコポリマーなどのポリオレフィンに限定されないが、ポリオレフィンを含むポリマーである。
M−1は、Fusabond(登録商標)E MB226DとしてDuPontから入手できる1.5のメルトインデックス(MI)および0.93g/ccの密度を有するポリエチレン/無水マレイン酸グラフトコポリマーである。
実験室規模の小さいブローフィルムラインを用いて厚さ約2〜4ミルの表2に記載した組成のブローフィルムサンプルを製造した。その後、構造Alフォイル/接着剤/Alフォイルの3層複合材を製造するためにフィルムを接着剤層として用いた。Alフォイルは厚さ1ミルであった。3層複合材を以下の手順により調製した。
a)Nは接着力がないことを意味する。すなわち、複合材は容易に剥離されて開いた。
b)Pは接着力があるが、Alフォイルを壊さずにAlフォイルと接着剤層を分離することが可能である。
c)Yは接着強度が強すぎて、Alフォイルを破壊せずに引き剥がすことができないことを意味する。
表3に記載された組成の積層物サンプルを実施例4〜8に関する手順により調製した。
次に、本発明の好ましい態様を示す。
1. (a)オレフィンと約3重量%〜約15重量%の官能性コモノマーのコポリマーおよび
(b)高分子ベース樹脂
を含む高分子接着剤組成物であって、約5〜約50重量%の成分(a)および約50〜約95重量%の成分(b)を含む高分子接着剤組成物。
2. 前記官能性コモノマーは、無水マレイン酸、マレイン酸、マレイン酸塩、マレイン酸ジエステル、マレイン酸モノエステル、イタコン酸、フマル酸、フマル酸モノエステルまたはそれらの混合物からなる群から選択されたモノマーである、上記1に記載の組成物。
3. 前記官能性コモノマーは、無水マレイン酸、マレイン酸ジエステルおよびマレイン酸モノエステルまたはそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、上記2に記載の組成物。
4. 前記官能性コモノマーは無水マレイン酸である、上記3に記載の組成物。
5. 前記官能性コモノマーはマレイン酸モノエステルである、上記3に記載の組成物。
6. 前記官能性コポリマーはE/X/Yターポリマーであって、Eがエチレンであり、Xが酢酸ビニル、(メタ)アクリル酸、(メタ)アクリル酸塩、(メタ)アクリル酸エステル、(メタ)アクリル酸とカルボン酸の混合無水物からなる群から選択され、Yが無水マレイン酸、マレイン酸ジエステルおよびマレイン酸モノエステルからなる群から選択されるE/X/Yターポリマーである、上記1に記載の組成物。
7. Xはメチルアクリレートまたはブチルアクリレートである、上記6に記載の組成物。
8. Yは無水マレイン酸、マレイン酸ジエステル、マレイン酸モノエステルからなる群から選択される、上記6に記載の組成物。
9. 前記官能性コモノマーは無水マレイン酸である、上記8に記載の組成物。
10. 前記官能性コモノマーはマレイン酸モノエステルである、上記8に記載の組成物。
11. 前記高分子ベース樹脂は、ポリオレフィンおよびエチレンと極性モノマーの共重合から得られたエチレンコポリマーからなる群の中のポリマーから選択された少なくとも1種のポリマーを含む、上記1に記載の組成物。
12. 前記高分子ベース樹脂は、高密度ポリエチレン、低密度ポリエチレン、線状低密度ポリエチレン、超高分子量ポリエチレン、超低密度ポリエチレン、メタロセン触媒を用いるエチレンとアルファオレフィンモノマーのコポリマー(メタロセンポリエチレン)、エチレン/プロピレンコポリマー、エチレン/プロピレン/ジエンモノマーなどのターポリマーならびにポリプロピレンホモポリマーおよびコポリマーからなる群の中のポリマーから選択された少なくとも1種のポリオレフィンポリマーを含む、上記11に記載の組成物。
13. 前記高分子ベース樹脂は、エチレンと極性モノマーの共重合から得られた少なくとも1種のエチレンコポリマーを含み、前記コポリマーは、エチレン/酢酸ビニルコポリマー、エチレン/アクリレートコポリマーおよびエチレン/アクリレート/一酸化炭素ターポリマーからなる群から選択される、上記11に記載の組成物。
14. 前記ベース樹脂は、ポリ塩化ビニル、塩素化ポリ塩化ビニルおよびポリスチレンからなる群から選択された少なくとも1種の追加のポリマーを更に含む、上記1に記載の組成物。
15. 前記少なくとも1種の追加のポリマーは耐衝撃性ポリスチレンである、上記14に記載の組成物。
16. (a)オレフィンと約3重量%〜約15重量%の官能性コモノマーのコポリマーおよび
(b)高分子ベース樹脂
を含む接着剤フィルムであって、接着剤組成物が約5〜約50重量%の成分(a)および約50〜約95重量%の成分(b)を含む接着剤フィルム。

18. 前記複合構造体は多層フィルムまたは多層シートである、上記17に記載の多層複合構造体。

20. 前記構造体は少なくとも2層の接着剤層を含む、上記19に記載の多層構造体。

22. 前記官能性コモノマーは、無水マレイン酸、マレイン酸、マレイン酸塩、マレイン酸ジエステル、マレイン酸モノエステル、イタコン酸、フマル酸、フマル酸モノエステルまたはそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、上記21に記載の物品。
23. (a)オレフィンと約3重量%〜約15重量%の官能性コモノマーのコポリマーおよび

を含むパイプ塗料であって、接着剤組成物が約5〜約50重量%の成分(a)および約50〜95重量%の成分(b)を含むパイプ塗料。
24. 前記官能性コモノマーは、無水マレイン酸、マレイン酸、マレイン酸塩、マレイン酸ジエステル、マレイン酸モノエステル、イタコン酸、フマル酸、フマル酸モノエステルまたはそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、上記23に記載のパイプ塗料。
25. 前記官能性コモノマーは、無水マレイン酸、マレイン酸ジエステルおよびマレイン酸モノエステルまたはそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、上記24に記載のパイプ塗料。
26. 前記官能性コモノマーは無水マレイン酸である、上記25に記載のパイプ塗料。
27. 前記官能性コモノマーはマレイン酸モノエステルである、上記26に記載のパイプ塗料。
28. 前記高分子ベース樹脂は、エチレンと極性モノマーの共重合から得られた少なくとも1種のエチレンコポリマーを含み、前記コポリマーは、エチレン/酢酸ビニルコポリマー、エチレン/アクリレートコポリマーおよびエチレン/アクリレート/一酸化炭素ターポリマーからなる群から選択される、上記23に記載のパイプ塗料。
29. (a)オレフィンと約3重量%〜約15重量%の官能性コモノマーのコポリマーおよび
(b)高分子ベース樹脂
を含む物品であって、接着剤組成物が約5〜約50重量%の成分(a)および約50〜約95重量%の成分(b)を含む物品。
30. 前記物品はペレットまたは建物パネルである、上記29に記載の物品。
31. 前記官能性コモノマーは、無水マレイン酸、マレイン酸ジエステルおよびマレイン酸モノエステルまたはそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、上記30に記載の物品。

Claims (10)
- (a)オレフィンである第1のモノマーと3重量%〜15重量%のマレイン酸ジエステル、マレイン酸モノエステル、フマル酸モノエステル及びそれらの2以上の混合物からなる群から選択された第2のコモノマーとのコポリマーおよび
(b)エチレン酢酸ビニルコポリマー、エチレンアクリル酸コポリマー、エチレンメタクリル酸コポリマー、エチレンアクリル酸エステルコポリマー、エチレンメタクリル酸エステルコポリマー、エチレンアクリル酸コポリマーの塩、エチレンメタクリル酸コポリマーの塩及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される高分子ベース樹脂
を含む高分子接着剤組成物であって、5〜50重量%の成分(a)および50〜95重量%の成分(b)を含む高分子接着剤組成物。 - 第2のコモノマーが、マレイン酸モノエステルである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記高分子ベース樹脂が、エチレン酢酸ビニルコポリマー及びエチレンアクリル酸エステルコポリマーからなる群から選択される請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の組成物を含む接着剤フィルム。
- 請求項1に記載の組成物を含む接着剤層を有する多層複合構造体。
- 請求項1に記載の組成物を含むパイプ塗料。
- 第2のコモノマーが、マレイン酸モノエステルである、請求項6に記載のパイプ塗料。
- 前記高分子ベース樹脂が、エチレン酢酸ビニルコポリマー及びエチレンアクリル酸エステルコポリマーからなる群から選択される請求項6に記載のパイプ塗料。
- 請求項1に記載の接着剤組成物を含む物品。
- 前記物品が、ペレットまたは建物パネルである、請求項9に記載の物品。
