遠視の場合には、RICF=RX×0.00578
ここで、RXは、ジオプトリ(D)を単位とする補正対象の屈折異常である。
(例1)
47歳の患者は、眼を治療する医師(例えば、眼科医)に対して、読書及び針を通すなどのその他の近見タスクに伴う問題を訴える。患者の遠屈折状態が、(例えば、レターチャート及びトライアルフレーム、並びに、様々な度数のトライアルレンズなどを利用した)主観的屈折又は検影法などの客観的屈折、或いは、眼を治療する医師によって理解される更に近代的な自動屈折計などの従来の屈折法を使用して計測される。患者は、正視である(即ち、遠方を明瞭に観察するべく視覚的な補正を必要としていない)ことが判明する。しかしながら、(例えば、ニアポイントチャート又は動的な検影法を使用した)近屈折においては、患者が、水晶体の硬化の結果としてもたらされる初期の老眼の近見視力問題を経験していることが判明する。老眼を治療するために、患者は、患者の調節能力を回復することになる水晶体(IOL)を再確立するべく水晶体再充填手術を経験する。
前述の屈折の評価に続いて、62歳の患者が+7.00Dの遠視を具備することが判明する。スリット−ランプ生体顕微鏡検査に続いて、患者は、水晶体内に白内障的な変化をも具備し、これが彼女の視力に影響を及ぼしていることが観察される。患者の年齢に起因し、彼女の調節の幅は、非常に小さく、約1D未満の調節であろうことが推測される。水晶体の白内障的な且つ進行した老眼の状態に鑑み、レンズ再充填手術を実施して白内障の水晶体を透明なIOLによって置換し、適切なモジュラスを有する材料を使用することによって水晶体に対する調節を回復し、且つ、適切な屈折率を具備した材料を選択することによって遠視を補正する。
Claims (6)
- 屈折異常又は老眼を具備した患者用の眼置換材料を製造する方法において、
(a)患者の眼の計測及び/又は検査によって導出された必要とされる屈折度数補正の推定値が存在する場合、該推定値に基づいて屈折率補正係数を算出する段階と、
(b)前記段階(a)で前記屈折率補正係数を算出する場合、該段階(a)の前記屈折率補正係数と、1.421〜1.450の中立基準屈折率と、の合計を判定する段階と、
(c)段階(b)において判定された前記合計の屈折率を具備した眼置換材料を製造する段階と、
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 嚢内の組織を置換する眼置換材料のIOL屈折率を判定する方法において
1.421〜1.450の中立基準屈折率を、患者の屈折異常を補正するべく必要とされる屈折度数の参照によって確認された屈折率補正係数と組み合わせる段階、
を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 前記中立基準屈折率は、1.426〜1.442である請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記中立基準屈折率は、1.426〜1.438である請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記中立基準屈折率は、1.427である請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 製造された前記眼置換材料は、架橋可能なシロキサンマクロモノマーから本来の場所において硬化されるポリマーである請求項1〜5の中のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
