Description
前記積層体素材を、アンビルを越えて配置し、
前記積層体素材のゴム層のみを、フラップを形成するスカイブ角αで断ち切り、前記フラップを開いて前記フラップの開きを通してナイフを押し込み、その後、前記積層体素材のプライ層を断ち切る、
積層体素材を切断する方法を提供する。
「アスペクト比」は、タイヤの断面幅に対する断面高さの比を意味する。
積層体1の素材は通常、供給コンベア110のベルトに隣接するスピンドル134に回転可能に取り付けられてもよい大きなロール132上に取り付けられる。積層体1は、ゴム層がコンベアベルト上で下を向くと同時に、プライ層が上を向くように載せられる。しかしながら、本発明は、機械装置を逆転させることができるので、この構成に限定されない。図4に示すように、切断装置100は、積層体1の素材を切断装置100の切断部120に前進させる供給コンベア110を有している。図7に最もよく示すように、供給コンベア110は、切断動作に先立ってアンビルから離れる引き込み式のノーズ112を有している。供給コンベア110は、供給コンベア110のノーズ112が前後にスライドすることを可能にする、サイドレール118に取り付けられたサイドサポート116を有しており、その結果、図8に示すように切断機構が下向きに移動できるように、ノーズ112が切断機構から外れて引き込まれる。供給コンベア110の上部に取り付けられたレール115に接続されたアクチュエータアーム114は、供給コンベア110のノーズ112を移動させるために引っ込められる。
アンビルアセンブリ140は、積層体1の幅を横切って切断するのに適している長さをもつ、矩形形状のバーを有している。アンビル142の縦方向の軸線は、積層体1の幅に対して90度の角度をなしてもよい。必須ではないが、アンビル142と、第1および第2の切断装置(まとめて切断システム)144,146と、の両方は、供給コンベアシステムのノーズ112がアンビル142から離れる方向に移動した後に、切断機構144,146が、アンビル142の下面で積層体1に接触するまで下向きに移動できるように、垂直なサイドレール(サポートレール)148にスライド可能に取り付けられてもよい。液圧シリンダ149が、切断システムをサポートレール148の軌道を上下に移動させる。
図10に示すように、第1段の切断システム(第1の切断装置)144は、積層体のゴム層のみ、すなわちプライを含んでいないゴム/エラストマー素材を断ち切る(cut through)のに使用される。切断ブレード160は超音波ブレードであってもよい。図22〜図23に示すように、切断ブレード160は、くさび形であり、かつ全体がノード(node)である平らな刃先を有していることが好ましい。図11に示すように、切断ブレード160は、垂直調整および水平調整だけでなくスカイブ角α、迎え角βも調整できるブレードホルダ170上に取り付けられている。ブレードホルダ170は、切断ブレード160が、一方から他方に向かって積層体のゴム構成要素を切断しながらアンビル142の下面を横切って横断できるように、下側支持バー172上にスライド可能に取り付けられている。プーリー機構、ボールスクリュー、または任意の他の従来の移動手段が、ブレードホルダ170および切断ブレード160を移動させるために使用されてもよい。積層体1の幅を横切る切断ブレード160の位置を追跡する移動サーボシステム174が使用されてもよい。移動の速度は、その速度がアンビル142の幅にわたって変化するように、コントローラ(不図示)に前もってプログラムされていてもよい。
積層体1のゴム構成要素が薄く剥がされて切断された後、プライを切断する第2の切断システム(第2の切断装置)146が使用されてもよい。第2段階の切断システム146は、切断機構(切断手段)220および引き込み式の引き下げバー300を含んでいる。切断機構220は、支持アーム212を介して支持レール210上のアンビル142を越えて、積層体1のプライ側に取り付けられている。切断機構220は、アンビル142に平行に取り付けられたガイド部材214をさらに有している。切断手段220は、切断手段220がプライの中心を通って押し込まれた後に分割されて離される2つの側222A、222Bを有する分割ブレード222である。ベルト224は、プライを切断しながら離されるブレードを横切る。本発明は、単独のナイフのような他の切断手段をも使うこともできるので、分割ブレードに限定されない。分割ブレード222、すなわち切断手段220は、バネ荷重がかけられて、プライの素材を切断するのに適した温度まで加熱されたホットプレートの上に置かれることが好ましい。
ここで、本発明の切断機構の動作を述べる。切断機構は、上述した積層体1、すなわちタイヤ製造に使われるような従来のエラストマー素材を切断する。切断される積層体1、すなわち素材は通常、供給コンベア110のベルトに隣接するスピンドル134上の大きなロール132に載せられる。積層体1は、プライ層20を上向きとしゴム層を下向きとするように、供給コンベア110のベルト上に供給される。積層体1の前縁は、アンビル142の切断縁で所望の長さに達するまで、切断コンベアベルトに向かって供給コンベア110のベルトの上で前進させられる。切断コンベアベルトに取り付けられた、または隣接したセンサーが、積層体1の切断線をアンビル142の切断縁に位置させるために、所望の切断長さに達したときを検出する。積層体1がアンビル142の切断縁に位置した後、供給コンベア110のノーズ112は切断線から離れて移動し、アンビルアセンブリ140は積層体1がアンビル142の下面に接触するまで下げられる。アンビルアセンブリ140は、図8Aに示すように、積層体1に僅かに張力がかけられるまで供給コンベア110の上面の平面を通過して、積層体1がアンビル142の下面を包み込むことがより好ましい。アンビルの真空領域は、積層体1がアンビル表面からの吸引によって所定位置に保持されるように、全ての3つの表面に向けられる。吸引、包み込み、および張力の全てが、積層体1を切断のための定位置に確実に保持するように一緒に作用する。

Claims (1)
- 幅Wを有する、複数のタイヤ部品からなる積層体素材であって、少なくとも1つの前記タイヤ部品は、複数のコードで補強された部品であり、該複数のコードは、実質的に平行でかつ前記積層体素材の幅Wを横切って形成された切断経路の方向を向いている、前記積層体素材を所望の長さの切片に切断する方法であって、
前記積層体素材を、アンビルを越えて配置することと、
前記積層体素材のゴム層のみを、フラップを形成するスカイブ角αで前記積層体素材の一方の面から断ち切り、前記フラップを開いて、前記フラップの開きを通るように前記積層体素材の他方の面からナイフを押し込み、前記積層体素材のプライ層を断ち切ることと、
を有する、積層体素材を切断する方法。
