Description
本比較例では、実施例1の液晶パネル1において、第一配向膜側透明層610を形成しなかった他は実施例1と同様にして液晶表示装置を作製した。本願発明者らが、比較例1の液晶パネル1を有する液晶表示装置に対して、実施例1と同様にして表示画像の焼き付き試験を行ったところ、焼き付き消失時間は、3時間であった。
本比較例では、実施例2の液晶パネル1において、第一配向膜側透明層610を形成しなかった他は実施例2と同様にして液晶表示装置を作製した。本願発明者らが、比較例2の液晶パネル1を有する液晶表示装置に対して、実施例2と同様にして表示画像の焼き付き試験を行ったところ、焼き付き消失時間は、4時間であった。
本比較例では、実施例3の液晶パネル1において、第一配向膜側透明層610および710を形成しなかった他は実施例3と同様にして液晶表示装置を作製した。本願発明者らが、比較例3の液晶パネル1を有する液晶表示装置に対して、実施例3と同様にして表示画像の焼き付き試験を行ったところ、焼き付き消失時間は、2時間であった。
本比較例では、実施例14の液晶パネル1において、第一配向膜側透明層610を形成しなかった他は実施例14と同様にして液晶表示装置を作製した。
本比較例では、実施例15の液晶パネル1において、第一配向膜側透明層610を形成しなかった他は実施例15と同様にして液晶表示装置を作製した。本願発明者らが、比較例5の液晶パネル1を有する液晶表示装置に対して、実施例15と同様にして表示画像の焼き付き試験を行ったところ、焼き付き消失時間は、6.5時間であった。
Claims (13)
- 第一基板と、
第二基板と、
前記第一基板と第二基板との間に配置された液晶層と、
前記第一基板上に配置され、前記液晶層に電界を印加して液晶分子を制御する画素電極と、
前記第一基板上に配置された第一配向膜と、
前記第二基板上に配置された第二配向膜と、を有し、
前記第一配向膜の前記液晶層と反対側で、前記第一配向膜に接して透明層が形成され、
前記透明層の体積比抵抗は、1.0E+9Ωcm以上1.0E+10Ωcm以下であって前記第一配向膜の体積比抵抗よりも低く、
前記第一配向膜の体積比抵抗は、1.0E+14Ωcm以上であり、
前記第一配向膜および前記透明層の合計の厚みが50nm以上150nm以下となり、
前記透明層は、下記一般式[化1]に示すポリシロキサンを含む、あるいは、ポリイソチアナフテン、ポリ−3,4−エチレンジオキシチオフェン、ポリピロールのいずれかの有機樹脂材料で形成されている、ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 第一基板と、
第二基板と、
前記第一基板と第二基板との間に配置された液晶層と、
前記第一基板上に配置され、前記液晶層に電界を印加して液晶分子を制御する画素電極と、
前記第一基板上に配置された第一配向膜と、
前記第二基板上に配置された第二配向膜と、を有し、
前記第二配向膜の前記液晶層の反対側で、前記第二配向膜に接して透明層が形成され、
前記透明層の体積比抵抗は、1.0E+9Ωcm以上1.0E+10Ωcm以下であって前記第二配向膜の体積比抵抗よりも低く、
前記第二配向膜の体積比抵抗は、1.0E+14Ωcm以上であり、
前記第二配向膜および前記透明層の合計の厚みが50nm以上150nm以下となり、
前記透明層は、ポリイソチアナフテン、ポリ−3,4−エチレンジオキシチオフェン、ポリピロールのいずれかの有機樹脂材料で形成されている、或いは、下記一般式[化1]に示すポリシロキサンを含むことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 請求項1又は2に記載された液晶表示装置において、
前記透明層は、シリカ微粒子又は金属微粒子を含む、
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載された液晶表示装置において、
前記液晶層の体積比抵抗が1.0E+13Ωcm以上である、
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載された液晶表示装置において、
前記透明層に接する前記第一配向膜、又は、前記透明層に接する前記第二配向膜は、ポリアミド酸エステルを前駆体とするポリイミドで形成されている、
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載された液晶表示装置において、
前記透明層に接する前記第一配向膜、又は、前記透明層に接する前記第二配向膜は、光反応性基を有し、紫外線を照射することにより液晶配向能を付与されている、
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の液晶表示装置において、
前記透明層は、絶縁層を下地として形成されて、該絶縁層を基準とする膜厚は20nm以上130nm以下である、
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載された液晶表示装置において、
前記第一基板上には、前記画素電極とともに共通電極が形成されて、
前記透明層と、前記画素電極と前記共通電極のうち前記液晶層側に配置される電極とは、下地を共通して形成される、
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項8に記載された液晶表示装置において、
前記透明層は、前記画素電極と前記共通電極のうち前記液晶層側に形成される電極よりも、前記下地を基準として膜厚になるように形成されて、
前記透明層は、前記第一配向膜との界面が平坦となるように形成される、
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項9に記載された液晶表示装置であって、
前記第一配向膜が有する膜厚と、前記透明層の前記下地を基準とする膜厚とを合わせた膜厚は、50nm以上150nm以下であり、
前記第一配向膜が有する膜厚は、少なくとも20nm以上であり、
前記透明層の前記下地を基準とする膜厚は、少なくとも20nm以上である、
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項8に記載された液晶表示装置であって、
前記第二配向膜の前記液晶層の反対側で、前記第二配向膜に接して透明層がさらに形成され、
前記第一配向膜に接して形成される透明層と前記第二配向膜に接して形成される透明層の体積比抵抗は、1.0E+9Ωcm以上、5.0E+13Ωcm以下である、
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項11に記載された液晶表示装置であって、
前記第一配向膜と前記第一配向膜に接して形成される透明層とを合わせた膜厚方向の体積比抵抗が1.0E+9Ωcm以上1.0E+13Ωcm以下であり、
前記第二配向膜と前記第二配向膜に接して形成される透明層とを合わせた膜厚方向の体積比抵抗が1.0E+15Ωcm以上である、
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載された液晶表示装置であって、
前記透明層には、残留溶媒としてアルコール系溶媒が含まれる、
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
