Description
同様に不通気処理された第1の基布と第2の基布とを用意して、所望の形状に接着シール材を配置する。なお、所望の形状とは、後に続く工程を経て切り出されたエアバッグが、たとえば図2に示すような袋体となるように2枚の基布が接合される形状である。
以下、実施例に基づき本発明をさらに具体的に説明する。なお、実施例の中で行われているエアバッグの性能評価は、以下の方法に従った。
混合後の接着シール材の温度を接触式温度計により測定した。
JIS K6251に準じて、硬化後の接着シール材からダンベル3号の試験片を採取し、破断時伸びを測定した。
エアバッグのインフレーター挿入部に、固定金具とともにインフレーター(タンク圧150kPa、アトランティックリサーチ社製ハイブリッドインフレーター)を固定し、エアバッグを室温にて展開し、展開後、エアバッグ接合部の損傷の有無を観察した。
エアバッグのインフレーター挿入部から加圧空気を注入し、エアバッグ内圧が50kPaに到達した後に、加圧空気の注入を停止して、5分後に内圧が30kPaを維持している場合を○、5分後に内圧が30kPa未満になる場合を×とした。
エアバッグの長さ方向に対して略平行に、エアバッグを蛇腹状に10回折り畳み、折り畳んだときのエアバッグの厚さを測定した。
総繊度470dtex、単糸繊度3.5dtex、単糸強度8.5cN/dtex、断面形状丸型のナイロン66フィラメント糸を用いて、経糸密度、緯糸密度がともに45本/2.54cmとなるようにウォータージェットルーム織機にて平織物を製織した。カバーファクターは1851、引張強力は650N/cmである。この平織物を、界面活性剤を含む90℃の熱水中で精練した後、185℃で30秒間熱セットした。ついで、不通気処理剤として、二液付加反応型無溶剤型シリコーンゴム組成物(25℃における粘度20Pa・s)をナイフコーターにより、乾燥重量が15g/m2になるよう織物の片面にコーティングした後、180℃で2分間熱処理を行い、目付け190g/m2のコーティング布を得た。
接着シール材において発熱剤を配合しなかったこと以外は、実施例1と同様にしてエアバッグを得た。得られたエアバッグは、硬化に2時間必要であった。硬化するまでに、基布が水分を吸収して部分的に膨張および収縮を起したため、シワが生じていた。このシワに追従して、接着シール材が伸びて厚さが増し、幅が細くなったり、逆に、潰れて厚さが薄く、幅が太くなった箇所が見られた。エアバッグ展開時に、この接着シール材の変形部からのガスリークが見られ、気密性が低下した。また、収納性にも劣るものであった。評価結果を表1に示す。

Claims (4)
- 2枚のパネルを接着シール材により接合してなるエアバッグであって、該接着シール材が自己発熱型であり、発熱反応を起こす材料がそれぞれ分離して配合されてなる二液型であるエアバッグ。
- 前記接着シール材の発熱温度が、100℃以下である請求項1記載のエアバッグ。
- 前記接着シール材が、発熱剤と水分保持剤とを含んでいる請求項1または2記載のエアバッグ。
- さらに、前記接合部または接合部近傍において縫合されてなる請求項1、2または3記載のエアバッグ。
