Description
従って、本発明の保護具は、特に、皮膚が溶剤や物理的な刺激に特に敏感な人のための保護具として有用である。
で示される基を側鎖に有する変性ポリビニルアルコール(以下、PVAと略記する)樹脂から形成される層を有する耐溶剤性保護具に関する。
R1〜R3は通常炭素数1〜30、特には炭素数1〜15、さらには炭素数1〜4の飽和炭化水素基または水素原子が好ましく、水素原子が最も好ましい。R4〜R5は通常炭素数1〜30、特には炭素数1〜15、さらには炭素数1〜4のアルキル基または水素原子が好ましく、水素原子が最も好ましい。特に、R1〜R6がすべて水素であるものが最も好ましい。
なお、本発明の効果を阻害しない範囲であれば結合鎖であってもよい。かかる結合鎖としては特に限定されないが、アルキレン、アルケニレン、アルキニレン、フェニレン、ナフチレン等の炭化水素鎖(これらの炭化水素はフッ素、塩素、臭素等のハロゲン等で置換されていても良い)の他、−O−、−(CH2O)m−、−(OCH2)m−、−(CH2O)mCH2−等のエーテル結合部位を含む構造、−CO−、−COCO−、−CO(CH2)mCO−、−CO(C6H4)CO−等のカルボニル基を含む構造、−S−、−CS−、−SO−、−SO2−等の硫黄原子を含む構造、−NR−、−CONR−、−NRCO−、−CSNR−、−NRCS−、−NRNR−等の窒素原子を含む構造、−HPO4−等のリン原子を含む構造などのヘテロ原子を含む構造、−Si(OR)2−、−OSi(OR)2−、−OSi(OR)2O−等の珪素原子を含む構造、−Ti(OR)2−、−OTi(OR)2−、−OTi(OR)2O−等のチタン原子を含む構造、−Al(OR)−、−OAl(OR)−、−OAl(OR)O−等のアルミニウム原子を含む構造などの金属原子を含む構造等が挙げられる(Rは各々独立して任意の置換基であり、水素原子、アルキル基が好ましく、またmは自然数であり、通常1〜30、好ましくは1〜15、さらに好ましくは1〜10である。)。その中でも製造時あるいは使用時の安定性の点で−CH2OCH2−、および炭素数1〜10の炭化水素鎖が好ましく、さらには炭素数1〜6の炭化水素鎖、特には炭素数1であることが好ましい。
本発明の耐溶剤性保護具を製造する方法は、たとえば、一般式(1)で示される基を有するPVA系樹脂を溶解する溶剤に溶かし、上述の基材の片面または両面に塗布する方法があげられる。
前記アルコールとしては、たとえば、メチルアルコール、エチルアルコール、プロピルアルコールなどの炭素数1〜8の脂肪族低級アルコールをあげることができる。これらの中でも、溶解性と溶液の安定性の点から、プロピルアルコールが好ましい。
3,4−ジアセトキシ−1−ブテンをモノマーとして用い、公知の方法によって変性EVOH樹脂(エチレン含有量:38モル%、1,2−ジオール構造単位(1a)の導入量:1.5モル%、酢酸ビニル部分のケン化度:99モル%、MFR(210℃、荷重2160g)3.3g/10min)を得た。かかる変性EVOHを押出成形(成形温度210℃)し、厚さ30μmの単層フィルムを作製した。
得られた単層フィルムを用いて<耐屈曲性>と<手触り感>の評価を実施した。結果を表1に示す。
また、該フィルムの片面にアンカーコート剤(東洋モートン(株)製、アドコートAD−335A)を塗布し、80℃で5分間乾燥し、厚さ0.14mmの綿布を、ラミネーション機を用いてアンカーコート面に、設定温度70℃にて貼り合わせ、多層シートを作製した。
得られた多層シートを用いて<耐溶剤性>と<層間剥離性>の評価を実施した。結果を表1および2に示す。
得られた単層フィルムの手触り感について、モニター試験(5名)を行い比較した。
○:柔軟性があり、手触り感良好
×:ごわごわしていて、手触り感不良
得られた単層フィルム(20×30cm)を、ゲルボフレックステスター(理学工業社製)を用いて、440°捻り(3.5インチ)+直進(2.5インチ)の繰り返し往復運動を500回行なった後、フィルム内のピンホール数の測定を行なった。
得られた多層シートのEVOH側にトルエン、酢酸エチル、メチルエチルケトンをそれぞれ0.5mL滴下し、10分後に多層フィルムの綿布の表面に溶剤が浸透しているか確認し、以下の基準により評価した。
○:綿布の表面に溶剤がない。
×:綿布の表面に溶剤がある。
得られた多層シートを用いて、50回屈曲させた後の密着性を目視により観察し、以下の基準により評価した。
○:全く剥離が認められない
△:一部剥離が認められた
×:著しく剥離が認められた
実施例1において、変性EVOH樹脂にかえて、未変性EVOH樹脂(エチレン含有量:38モル%、酢酸ビニル部分のけん化度:99モル%、MFR(210℃、荷重2160g)3.3g/10min)を用いた以外は同様にして、単層フィルムおよび多層シートを得、同様に評価した。
さらに、1,2−ジオール構造単位を有する変性EVOH樹脂の単層フィルムを綿布にラミネートした多層シート(実施例1)は、未変性EVOH樹脂を用いた多層シート(比較例2)と同等の耐溶剤性を有しつつ、同時に耐層間剥離性に優れるという、従来得られなかった優れた効果が同時に得られた。
Claims (6)
- 変性ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂の変性率が、1〜15モル%である請求項1〜2のいずれかに記載の耐溶剤性保護具。
- 変性ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂が20〜55モル%エチレンを共重合したものであることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の耐溶剤性保護具。
- 変性ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂からなる層の厚さが、0.001〜100μmである請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の耐溶剤性保護具。
- 織布、不織布又は熱可塑性樹脂フィルムからなる保護具基材の片面または両面に、厚さ0.001〜100μmの変性ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂からなる層を設けてなる請求項1〜5のいずれか記載の耐溶剤性保護具。
