Description

Claims (10)
- 発呼者から前記発呼者の遠方に位置する被呼者に対して電話をかけるための、前記発呼者のユーザ端末が実行する方法であって、前記方法は、
パケットデータネットワーク上で被呼者ユーザ端末が利用可能であるかを判定するステップと、
前記パケットデータネットワーク上で前記被呼者ユーザ端末が利用可能である場合に、前記パケットデータネットワークを介して前記被呼者ユーザ端末との呼を確立するステップと、
前記パケットデータネットワーク上で前記被呼者ユーザ端末が利用可能でない場合に、前記呼を中継するために利用可能な第3者ユーザ端末を識別し、代替通信ネットワークを介して前記発呼者ユーザ端末から前記被呼者ユーザ端末へ前記呼を中継するよう、前記第3者ユーザ端末に対して要求するステップと
を備えることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記呼を中継するために利用可能な第3者ユーザ端末を識別するステップは、前記呼を中継するために前記パケットデータネットワーク上で利用可能な第3者端末を識別するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記パケットデータネットワーク上で利用可能な第3者ユーザ端末を識別するステップは、
所定のグループのグループリストにアクセスするステップと、
前記パケットデータネットワーク上で現在利用可能な1以上の第3者ユーザ端末を、前記グループリスト上で識別するステップと
を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記呼を中継するために利用可能な第3者ユーザ端末を識別するステップは、前記呼を中継するためにパーソナルエリアネットワーク上で利用可能な第3者端末を識別するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記発呼者ユーザ端末から前記被呼者ユーザ端末へ前記呼を中継するよう、前記第3者ユーザ端末に対して要求するステップは、
前記第3者ユーザ端末との通信を確立するステップと、
前記第3者ユーザ端末と前記被呼者ユーザ端末との間の通信を前記代替通信ネットワークを介して確立するために、前記第3者ユーザ端末に被呼者アドレスを提供するステップと
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - デュアルモードユーザ端末であって、
移動通信ネットワークを介して通信するための第1の通信インタフェースと、
パケットデータネットワークを介して通信するための第2の通信インタフェースと、
制御プロセッサであって、
前記パケットデータネットワーク上で被呼者ユーザ端末が利用可能であるかを判定し、
前記パケットデータネットワーク上で前記被呼者ユーザ端末が利用可能である場合には、前記パケットデータネットワークを介して前記被呼者ユーザ端末との呼を確立し、
前記パケットデータネットワーク上で前記被呼者ユーザ端末が利用可能でない場合には、前記呼を中継するために利用可能な第3者ユーザを識別し、前記発呼者ユーザ端末から前記被呼者ユーザ端末に、前記移動通信ネットワークを介して前記呼を中継するよう、前記第3者ユーザ端末に対して要求するように構成された制御プロセッサと
を備えることを特徴とするデュアルモードユーザ端末。 - 前記制御プロセッサは、前記呼を中継するために前記パケットデータネットワーク上で利用可能な第3者ユーザ端末を識別するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のデュアルモードユーザ端末。
- 前記制御プロセッサは、所定のグループに対するグループリストにアクセスし、前記パケットデータネットワーク上で現在利用可能な1以上の第3者ユーザ端末を前記グループリスト上で識別することにより、前記パケットデータネットワーク上で利用可能な第3者ユーザ端末を識別するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のデュアルモードユーザ端末。
- 前記制御プロセッサは、前記呼を中継するためにパーソナルエリアネットワーク上で利用可能な第3者ユーザ端末を識別するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のデュアルモードユーザ端末。
- 前記制御プロセッサは、
前記第3者ユーザ端末との通信を確立し、前記第3者ユーザ端末と前記被呼者ユーザ端末との間の通信を前記代替通信ネットワークを介して確立するために、被呼者アドレスを前記第3者ユーザ端末に提供することにより、
前記発呼者ユーザ端末から前記被呼者ユーザ端末に前記呼を中継するよう、前記第3者ユーザ端末に対して要求するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のデュアルモードユーザ端末。
