Claims (15)
- ピストン冠面に設けたキャビティと、燃焼室内に直接燃料を噴射可能な燃料供給手段を有し、該燃料供給手段が高セタン価燃料および高オクタン価燃料を噴射可能な筒内直接噴射式内燃機関において、
所定の第1の運転条件にて、前記高セタン価燃料を前記高オクタン価燃料よりも前かつ前記キャビティに衝突する時期に噴射して、燃焼室内に前記高セタン価燃料の着火火炎を形成し、前記高オクタン価燃料を前記着火火炎に衝突し、かつ前記キャビティ外を指向する時期に噴射することを特徴とする筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。 - 前記高セタン価燃料の噴射率を前記高オクタン価燃料の噴射率に比して小さくすることを特徴とする請求項1記載の筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。
- 前記高セタン価燃料の噴射開始時期と前記高オクタン価燃料の噴射開始時期との差を略一定に保つことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。
- 前記所定の第1の運転条件は、低負荷時であることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか1つに記載の筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。
- 機関の圧縮比を変更可能な可変圧縮比機構を有し、該可変圧縮比機構が高圧縮比時には低圧縮比時に比してピストンが上死点付近に長く留まる構成であり、前記所定の第1の運転条件にて、機関の圧縮比を高圧縮比にすることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項4のいずれか1つに記載の筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。
- 前記所定の第1の運転条件より高負荷側の所定の第2の運転条件にて、前記高セタン価燃料を前記高オクタン価燃料より後に噴射して、火炎伝播燃焼を実現することを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項5のいずれか1つに記載の筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。
- 高負荷時に、負荷が増加するほど、前記高オクタン価燃料の噴射開始時期を進角することを特徴とする請求項6記載の筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。
- 前記高セタン価燃料の噴射と前記高オクタン価燃料の噴射とは、一方の噴射後に他方の噴射が連続的に行われるようにすることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項7のいずれか1つに記載の筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。
- 所定の第3の運転条件にて、前記高セタン価燃料を前記高オクタン価燃料より前と後にそれぞれ噴射することを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項8のいずれか1つに記載の筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。
- 前記所定の第3の運転条件は、冷間始動時であることを特徴とする請求項9記載の筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。
- 前記燃料供給手段が、前記高セタン価燃料および前記高オクタン価燃料を噴射可能な単一の燃料噴射弁であることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項10のいずれか1つに記載の筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。
- 前記単一の燃料噴射弁が、前記高セタン価燃料の燃料配管と前記高オクタン価燃料の燃料配管との2つの燃料配管を有すると共に、少なくとも前記高セタン価燃料の燃料配管に開閉時期を制御可能な制御弁を有し、該制御弁の制御により前記高セタン価燃料の噴射を制御することを特徴とする請求項11記載の筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。
- 前記燃料供給手段が、前記高セタン価燃料を噴射する高セタン価燃料噴射弁と前記高オクタン価燃料を噴射する高オクタン価燃料噴射弁とを各別に有してなることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項10のいずれか1つに記載の筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。
- 前記高セタン価燃料噴射弁と前記高オクタン価燃料噴射弁とが共に燃焼室上方の略中央部に位置し、略同一方向に燃料を噴射することを特徴とする請求項13記載の筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。
- 前記高セタン価燃料噴射弁が燃焼室上方の略中央部に位置すると共に、前記高オクタン価燃料噴射弁が燃焼室の周縁部に位置し、それぞれの燃料噴射弁が燃焼室の中央部に向けて燃料を噴射することを特徴とする請求項13記載の筒内直接噴射式内燃機関。
