Claims (7)
- 上部面、下部面及びこれらを連結する多数の側面を有し、中央部に中心孔が形成された多角形の切削インサートにおいて、
上記上部面の最高の高さに平坦な着座面が形成され、
上記上部面と上記多数の側部面の境界部には多数の側面切削エッジ部が形成され、
隣接する2個の側面切削エッジ部の境界部には切削エッジが形成されたコーナー切削エッジ部が形成され、
上記コーナー切削エッジ部は、上記切削エッジから上記中心孔に向かう対角線に沿ってランド部、下向き傾斜面、平坦な角底面、第1突起、上向き傾斜面及び着座面が順次形成され、
上記対角線を基準にして第1突起の両側に一対の第2突起が対称に形成され、上記第2突起は、上記下向き傾斜面及び第1突起と共に上記角底面を取り囲むように配置され、凹部を形成し、
上記対角線に沿って上記角底面の高さが最も低く、上記着座面の高さが最も高いことを特徴とする切削インサート。 - 前記第1突起と前記第2突起は半球形状を有し、前記第1突起の高さは前記第2突起の高さより高いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記第1突起の高さは、前記コーナー切削エッジの高さより高いことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記第2突起の高さは、前記コーナー切削エッジの高さより高いことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記側面切削刃から内側に向かってランド部、下向き溝面、側面底面及び上向き溝面が順次形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の切削インサート。
- 側面底面は、その高さが前記角底面の高さより低いことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記側面底面には、上向き溝面から側面切削刃に向かって延びたリッジが形成されたことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の切削インサート。
