Description
本発明は、外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品をブロックの形に包装するための新規な装置および新規な方法に関するものである。
ホットメルト接着を包装(パッケージング)する装置も種々公知である。例えば、下記文献ではヒートシンク(吸熱器)と接触している円筒形熱可塑性チューブの中に溶融した接着剤を注入またはポンプ輸送してホットメルト接着剤のブロックを円筒形熱可塑性チューブ中に直接包装している。
(a) 外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品を連続的に供給し、
(b) 外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品を液体冷媒中に浸し、
(c) 外皮付き接着剤製品をその一部分でプレスし、
(d) プレスした部分で外皮付き接着剤製品を超音波溶着し、
(e) プレスした部分で外皮付き接着剤製品をブロックの形に切断する。
(1)プレス階段、超音波溶着階段および切断階段を同一の加工(ワーク)ステーションで実行する。
(2)プレス成形および溶着階段ではホーンを使用する。
(3)切断階段ではアンビルと摺動接触するナイフを使用する。
(4)切断階段を超音波溶着階段と同時に行なう。
(5)液中に浸す階段(b)は冷却水中に接着剤製品を浸す階段である。
(6)階段(c)で外皮付き接着剤製品を実質的に120または330mmに等しい長さのブロックに切断する。
(7)階段(a)で供給される外皮付き接着剤製品は非接着性外皮から成る。
(8)上記包装方法が、階段(a)の前にホットメルト接着を外皮中に収用するシーシング(外皮形成)階段をさらに有する。
(9)上記シーシング階段が外皮とホットメルト接着とを共押出しする階段である。
(10)上記シーシング階段がホットメルト接着を外皮中にポンプ輸送する階段である。
本発明の外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品のブロックの好ましい実施例は下記の特徴の少なくとも一つを有する:
(1)ホットメルト接着は外皮と一緒に共押出しされたものである。
(2)ホットメルト接着と外皮は所定温度で相溶性がある。
(1)プレス手段、溶着手段および切断手段がコンベヤ路上の実質的に同一位置に位置している。
(2)超音波溶着手段がホーンを有し、プレス手段がこのホーンとアンビルとから成る。
(3)切断手段がアンビルと摺動接触するナイフから成る。
(4)溶着手段が可変の角速度で回転できるように設計されている。
(5)液体冷媒は冷却水である。
(6)外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品を導く手段が共押出し機から成る。
本発明の上記以外の特徴および効果は添付図面を参照して示す以下の本発明の好ましい実施例の説明から明らかになるであろう。
本発明設備はさらに、液体冷媒55を用いた冷却手段50をさらに有する。導入手段30の下流にはプレス手段70、75且つ超音波溶着手段70、70があり、これらの手段は同期制御手段(図示せず)によって作動される。このプレス手段且つ溶着手段70、75と切断手段(図示せず)は液体冷媒55中に浸されている。
しかし、アンビルの経路はx方向に沿った単純な平行移動にしてもよいということは理解できよう。
軸線x、zの基点ポイント0(図2)はアンビル75とホーン70とが垂直方向に接触する位置すなわち冷えた(コールド)シールができ、ナイフが後退する位置(第2フェーズ、図3)位置に対応する。得られた冷えた(コールド)シールは次に超音波溶着される。その間、アンビルとホーンは[図3]の位置のままである。これら2つの点については[図5]〜[図7]で詳細に説明する。

Tはサイクル継続時間である。
戻りの時間Trはt2+2taに対応し、これは角距離Drに対応させることができる。
外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品の連続供給の最初の階段は上記の導入手段を用いて行なうことができる。供給後直ちにまたはその後に接着剤製品は液体冷媒中に浸される。この液体中への浸漬によって外皮付き接着剤製品が冷却され、必要に応じてメンブレンの一体性が確保される。この液体中への浸漬は上記の液体冷媒中への浸漬手段を用いて行うことができる。外皮付き接着剤製品の部分的なプレス階段も本発明の設備に関して説明する手段を用いて実行できる。
i) 5〜65重量%のブチルゴムまたはポリイソブチレンゴムまたはEPDMゴムまたはこれらの混合物(任意成分として、マイナーな量(すなわちi)の全成分の200重量部に対して100重量部以下)のアクリル重合体、ポリビニールブチラール、ポリアミド、ポリエチレン、アタクチックポリプロピレン、ポリα−オレフィン、エチレン-アクリル酸コポリマー、エチレンとアクリル酸エチルとのコポリマーおよびエチレンと酢酸ビニールとのコポリマー、スチレン-ブタジエン−スチレンおよびスチレン-イソプレン-スチレンブロックコポリマーの中から選択される一種以上の熱可塑性ホモポリマーまたはコポリマーを混合することができる)、
ii) 10〜70重量%の顔料を含む無機充填剤、
iii) 0.25〜5重量%接着促進剤、
iv) 0〜30重量%の可塑剤、
v) 10〜40重量%の粘着付与樹脂、
vi) 0〜1重量%のポリマー中に既に入っている以上の量の抗酸化剤。
i) 10〜35の重量%ブチルゴム(任意成分として、アクリル重合体、ポリビニールブチラール、ポリアミド、ポリエチレン、アタクチックポリプロピレン、ポリアルファオレフィン、エチレン-アクリル酸コポリマー、エチレンとアクリル酸エチルとのコポリマー、エチレンと酢酸ビニールとのコポリマーの中から選択される一種以上の熱可塑性ホモポリマーまたはコポリマーを最大で30重量%まで含むことができる)、
ii) 10〜45重量%の顔料を含む無機充填剤、
iii) 0.25〜2.5重量%の接着促進剤、
iv) 0〜20重量%の可塑剤、
v) 10〜35重量%の粘着付与剤樹脂、
vi) 0〜0.5重量%の追加の抗酸化剤。
これらの組成物は二重ガラス窓のウインドウユニット製造でシーラントとして使用できる。このシーラントはユニットを窓に嵌め込む前の短時間の間、ユニットの各要素を保持するシーラントとしての特性を有していなければならず、しかも、ユニットの使用寿命を決める耐候性をユニットに与えるような長期(例えば、少なくとも10年、好ましくは最低でも20年以上)にわたる特性も有していなければならない。シーラントの短期特性と長期特性とを最適化するためにはシーラント組成物中に含めることができる接着促進剤の量をバランスさせる必要がある。
本発明は上記実施例に限定されるものではなく、当業者は種々の変形を行なうことができる。特に、外皮が裂けるのを防止するために[図5]、[図6]、[図7]に示したアンビル75のエッジの鋭い角度を丸くすることができる。

Claims (23)
- 下記(a)〜(e)の階段から成る、外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品をブロック形に詰めるための包装方法:
(a) 外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品を連続的に供給し、
(b) 外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品を液体冷媒中に浸し、
(c) 液体冷媒中に浸された外皮付き接着剤製品の一部分をプレスし、
(d) プレスした部分で液体冷媒中に浸された外皮付き接着剤製品を超音波溶着し、
(e) プレスした部分で液体冷媒中に浸された外皮付き接着剤製品をブロックの形に切断する。 - プレス階段、超音波溶着階段および切断階段を同一加工ステーションで実行する請求項1に記載の包装方法。
- プレス階段および溶着階段をホーン(sonotrode)を用いて行なう請求項2に記載の包装方法。
- 切断階段をアンビルと摺動接触するナイフを用いて行なう請求項3に記載の包装方法。
- 切断階段を超音波溶着階段と同時に行なう請求項1に記載の包装方法。
- 液体冷媒中に浸す階段(b)で接着剤製品を冷却水中に浸す請求項1に記載の包装方法。
- 切断階段(c)で外皮付き接着剤製品を実質的に120または330mmに等しい長さのブロックに切断する請求項1に記載の包装方法。
- 階段(a)で供給される外皮付き接着剤製品が非接着性の外皮を有する請求項1に記載の包装方法。
- 階段(a)の前にホットメルト接着を外皮中に収用する階段をさらに有する請求項1に記載の包装方法。
- 上記の外皮形成階段を、外皮とホットメルト接着とを共押出しして行なう請求項9に記載の包装方法。
- 従来の外皮形成階段は、ホットメルト接着を外皮にポンプで送りこむ階段である請求項9に記載の包装方法。
- 下記(f)〜(j)の階段を有する、外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品をブロックの形に詰めるための方法:
(f) 外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品を連続的に供給し、
(g) 外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品を液体冷媒中に浸し、
(h) 液体冷媒中に浸された外皮付き接着剤製品の一部分をプレスし、
(i) プレスした部分で液体冷媒中に浸された外皮付き接着剤製品を超音波溶着し、この溶着およびプレス階段ではホーン(sonotrode)を使用し、
(j) プレスした部分で液体冷媒中に浸された外皮付き接着剤製品をブロックに切断し、この切断階段を溶着階段と同じ加工ステーションで溶着階段と同時に実行する。 - 供給されるホットメルト接着がシーラントである請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 供給されるホットメルト接着が下記組成を有する請求項13に記載の方法:
i) ブチルゴムまたはポリイソブチレンゴムまたはEPDMゴムまたはこれらの混合物:
5〜65重量%、
ii) 顔料を含む無機充填剤:10〜70重量%、
iii) 接着促進剤:0.25〜5重量%、
iv) 可塑剤:0〜30重量%、
v) 粘着付与剤樹脂:10〜40重量%、
vi) ポリマー中に既に含まれている以上の抗酸化剤:0〜1重量%。 - 5〜65重量%のブチルゴムまたはポリイソブチレンゴムまたはEPDMゴムまたはこれらの混合物をマイナー量のアクリル重合体、ポリビニールブチラール、ポリアミド、ポリエチレン、アタクチックポリプロピレン、ポリ−α−オレフィン、エチレン-アクリル酸コポリマー、エチレン−アクリル酸エチルコポリマーおよびエチレン−酢酸ビニールコポリマー、スチレン−ブタジエン-スチレンおよびスチレン-イソプレン−スチレンブロックコポリマーの中から選択される一種または複数の熱可塑性ホモポリマーまたはコポリマーと混合する請求項14に記載の方法。
- 供給されるホットメルト接着が下記組成を有する請求項14に記載の方法:
i) 10〜35重量%のブチルゴム(任意成分として30重量%以下のアクリル重合体、ポリビニールブチラール、ポリアミド、ポリエチレン、アタクチックポリプロピレン、ポリアルファオレフィン、エチレン-アクリル酸コポリマー、エチレン/アクリル酸エチルコポリマーおよびエチレン/酢酸ビニールコポリマーの中から選択される一種または複数の熱可塑性ホモポリマーまたはコポリマーを含むことができる)、
ii) 10〜45重量%の顔料を含む無機充填剤、
iii) 0.25〜2.5重量%の接着促進剤、
iv) 0〜20重量%の可塑剤、
v) 10〜35重量%の粘着付与剤樹脂、
vi) 0〜0.5重量%の追加の抗酸化剤。 - 下記(1)〜(7)から成る外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品を包装するための設備:
(1)コンベヤ路の上流域へ外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品を導く手段、
(2)上記コンベヤ路に沿って配置された液体冷媒から成る冷媒手段、
(3)上記コンベヤ路に沿って接着剤製品を輸送する手段、
(4)接着剤製品をプレスする手段、
(5)接着剤製品を超音波溶着する手段、
(6)接着剤製品を切断する手段、
(7)プレス手段および溶着手段を同期制御する手段、
(ここで、プレス手段、溶着手段および切断手段が液体冷媒中に浸されている) - プレス手段、溶着手段および切断手段がコンベヤ路上の実質的に同一位置に位置している請求項17に記載の設備。
- 超音波溶着手段がホーン(sonotrode)を有し、プレス手段が上記ホーンとアンビルとから成る請求項17に記載の設備、
- 切断手段がアンビル上を摺動接触するナイフから成る請求項19に記載の設備。
- 溶着手段が可変の角速度で回転するように設計されている請求項17に記載の設備。
- 液体冷媒が冷却水である請求項17に記載の設備。
- 外皮付きホットメルト接着剤製品を導く手段が共押出し機から成る請求項17に記載の設備。
