Description
本発明は、数個の注ぎ口を有する飲物容器に関し、特に素早く注ぐことを可能にする空気の通り道を有する新規性のある飲物容器に関する。
飲物容器のような多くの容器が、缶オープナ又は他の道具の必要無しに簡単に開けることが出来るように構成されており、好ましくは缶の如何なる部分も分離しない。消費者にとって、重要な設計上の要素は、容器の注ぎ特性である。一般に、消費者は比較的早い速度で注ぐことができる容器を用いることを好む。
飲物容器の内容物が排出されるにつれ、従来の構造では容器の内部と周囲の気圧との釣り合いが壊れ、その結果、流れが途切れたり、円滑な流れが妨げられることが観察される。流れの乱れを緩和する従来の試みとして、更なる出口開口が容器の蓋構造を貫通して形成することを必要とした。他の従来の方法は、特殊な注ぎ開口形状を用いる。更なる出口開口及び/又は特殊な注ぎ開口形状では、設計の複雑さ、更なるコスト、及び漏れの懸念が生じる(present)。
要するに本発明に於いては、容器には容器蓋内に空気通路が設けられ、容器から排出された内容物を空気と置き換えて大気圧に平衡させる。

他の実施例に於いて、空気通路は、隆起した通路と該隆起した通路の長手方向に延びる薄膜との結合によって形成される。更なる実施例に於いて、空気通路は、隆起した通路内に位置するチューブによって形成され、該隆起した通路は缶蓋に形成されて切込み可能な注ぎ口から延びる。
図1Aは、本発明に従って空気通路(15)を有する缶蓋(10)を含む容器(5)の一実施例の平面図である。容器本体(6)及び缶蓋(10)がアルミニウムから構成されるのが好ましいが、鋼とプラスチックのような他の材料も考えられ、それらは本発明の範囲内である。
図1Aは、取り外せないように、固定された蓋を有する容器を示すが、本発明は裏返し使えるように容器本体に係合可能な容器蓋にも適用可能である。
タブ(13)は、例えばリベット(14)によって缶蓋(10)に結合され、該リベット(14)の中心が枢支点を形成する。本発明の缶蓋(10)には、任意のデザイン又はレタリングを彫り込み、又は浮き彫りにしてもよい。
この開示の目的の為に、語句「集中した空気流れを生じさせる大きさ」とは、空気通路(15)が始まる、注ぎ口(11)部分の切込み線上の点(16)から、注ぎ口の最上端での接平面(17)を超える位置にある点(19)までの距離である。
一実施例では、空気通路(15)によって、容器の中身がその前に占拠した空間に大気が途切れなく入って占拠することができるから、空気通路により、容器(5)の中身がスムーズで途切れない流れにて注がれ得る。空気通路は、注ぎ開口の注ぎ部(32)の反対側である切込み可能な注ぎ口(11)の部分から、延びるのが好ましい。
図1Eは、約0.0310インチ(0.078cm)の高さを有する隆起した通路(15a)の好ましい一実施例を記載している。図1Fは、約0.0180インチ(0.046cm)の高さを有する隆起した通路(15a)の好ましい他の実施例を記載している。図5に記載されたように、隆起した通路(15a)は、缶蓋(10)の美的な外観を稍損ねている。
隆起した通路(15a)の形状は、図1B、図1E及び図1Fに記載しているように、容器の蓋のあらゆる軸、即ちX軸、Y軸に対して対称であっても、非対称であってもよい。図1G及び図1Hは、缶蓋(10)を消費者側から見た実施例を示し、隆起した通路は、三角形(15b)を呈する。図1Iは、円形の隆起した通路(15c)によって付与される空気通路を具えた缶蓋(10)を消費者側から見た実施例を示している。
薄膜(29)は、隆起した通路(15a)の長さに沿って延び、該薄膜(29)は注ぎ開口(9)に接近した第1開口(21)、及び容器(5)の外側から内部へ集中した空気流れを生じさせる大きさを越える第2開口(20)を形成し、第2開口(20)は缶蓋の周縁(18)に接近している。薄膜(29)は、テープ又は粘着固定される重合体から構成される。
本実施例に於いて、チューブ(22)は既存の缶蓋設計に空気通路を付与するのに用いられ得る。さらに、隆起した通路を形成することなく、缶蓋の製品側にチューブ(22)を直接固定しても、缶蓋の使用者側の審美的な特質には影響しない。
実際、機能的な排出領域は、利用可能な先頭空間の量を示し、該空間には流体が注がれる際に、流体が引き出されるにつれ、空気が容器内に進入する。
従って、最適な有効性については、切込み線が空気通路(15)に対して約90度の角度を向くべきことが分かった。
Claims (10)
- 容器本体(6)の頂部に位置する缶蓋(10)を具え、該缶蓋(10)は、
缶蓋(10)面内にある切込み線(12)と、
該切り込み線(12)によって規定され、切込み線(12)に囲まれた範囲内にあって、切込み線(12)が切り込まれたときには流体の流出を許容する注ぎ開口領域(11)と、
缶蓋と一体に形成され缶蓋(10)の面内から消費者側に向けて隆起し、注ぎ開口領域(11)から、切り込み可能な切込み線(12)を横切って伸びている空気通路(15)と、
を具え、該空気通路(15)は、缶蓋内の注ぎ開口部から、切込み線を横切って、少なくとも集中した空気流れを生じさせる大きさにまで延びている、容器。 - 該通路は、直線の向きを有する、請求項1に記載の容器。
- 該通路は、略楕円形状を有する、請求項2に記載の容器。
- 更に、切込み線に接近して第1の開口を有し、容器の内側に集中した空気流れを生じさせる大きさを超えた位置に第2の開口を有し、通路の長さに合わせて延びた薄膜を具える、請求項1に記載の容器。
- 薄膜は、テープ又は粘着固定される高分子薄膜である、請求項4に記載の容器。
- 該通路は、円形又は三角形の形状である、請求項1に記載の容器。
- 該通路は、0.001インチ(0.0025cm)から0.060インチ(0.152cm)までの範囲の高さを有する、請求項1に記載の容器。
- 該通路内にチューブが配備された、請求項1に記載の容器。
- 缶蓋は、金属又は高分子材料から構成される、請求項1に記載の容器。
- 缶蓋は、アルミニウムから構成される、請求項1に記載の容器。
