Description
ベクトルa:プラグのクロストーク及びジャックのクロストークは、補償領域の中心(誘導性カップリング中心)に対するそれらの位相シフトと接触する。
ベクトルc: IDCのクロストークのために調整された印刷回路基板クロストーク領域のクロストークであり、補償領域の中心に対してそれらが位相シフトした状態で、ベクトルcがこの領域の中心に有効に位置している。
図13は、キャパシタプレートを追加した、図8に示されるPCBのレイアウトの概略前面図である。
この設計は、比較的コンパクトなPCB形状を提供する。それは、補償及びクロストーク領域の両方に、要求された誘導性及び容量性のカップリングを提供するため電流運搬トレースを利用している。
特定プラグのカップリングは次の通り計算された。
容量性カップリング:0.936pF
ジャックPCB設計の設計パラメータの目標は次の通りである。
この設計は、シミュレーション及び計算により決定され、プロトタイプの設計のための基礎となる。プロトタイプを調整するため、NEXTdB対周波数のプロットが実行されるべきである。最初に、ニュートラル領域の長さは、ヌル(−dB)が最大になるまで変えられるべきである。ベクトルaの大きさがベクトルbの大きさに等しいということを仮定すると、このことは、abをbcに等しくさせる。第2には、補償領域の大きさは、ヌル周波数が500MHzとなるまで変えられるべきである。補償領域の長さが、その大きさを変化させるように変えられる場合、ニュートラル領域の長さは、<abを<bcに等しくさせるように変化されなければならない。なお、PCBにより提供されるクロストーク及び補償は、誘導性及び容量性カップリングの組み合わせとなり、理想的な組み合わせは、標準のプラグ及びジャック接触子の組み合わせに合致する。
図15a及び図15bは、図1に示されるものに類似したジャックの斜視図であるが、配線キャップ12が、パンチダウン終端ブロック13で代用された。

図18は、ジャック接触子16及び接触子ホルダー17の一実施例を示している。接触子及び接触子ホルダーの構成は、ジャックハウジングへの接触子ホルダーの組み立ての前後に接触子ホルダー内に接触子を維持する。本実施例では、奇数番号のジャック接触子16oの全ては、一つの独自の形状を有する。偶数番号のジャック接触子16eは、別の独自の形状を持ち、接触子の永久的変形無しに、設置されたプラグから印刷回路基板へと比較的短い伝導性経路に、要求された接触子力を提供するため、全ての接触子は、独自の断面寸法を持っている。
接触子形状は、プラグと接触する区分19において比較的水平であり、特定プラグにおける許容寸法変動に起因して接触子の力における変化を最小にする。
キャップが設置されたとき、金属対仕切り部10の端部30と、設置されたケーブルジャケットとの間には、ケーブルジャケットとIDCとの間の対の必要な再配置を容易にする上で十分な空間29が存在している。
図24乃至図26は、図1の遮蔽ジャックの後部を示している。
遮蔽バージョンにおける相違点は、配線キャップ12を図26に示された遮蔽配線キャップ31で代用したことであり、該遮蔽配線キャップは、図23乃至図26で示されたプラスチック部分32と、図26に示された金属部分33とから構成される。

キャップがジャックボディに設置されたとき、配線キャップ31の金属部分33は、ジャックシールドに接続される。

−キャップ/コンダクターの配位毎に対を配置する(例えば、568B)
2. コンダクター対は、設置キャップを通って供給され配置される。フォイルシールドは、各ワイヤはワイヤスロットに入るところで切断され、ワイヤが90度曲げられ、ワイヤスロット内に挿入され、切断される。
3. キャップアッセンブリがジャックハウジングの背部内に配置され、設置ツール又はプライヤー(図示せず)を用いて押し込められる。
4. スプリングクリップが、ケーブルの組みひも及び接地キャップの間で良好な接触を確保するため、プライヤー等を用いて完全に係合される。
5. クリップ/接地キャップによるケーブル/オーバーブレイドからハウジングシールド上のスプリングタブまでグラウンドが接続される。

- 4対のコンダクターを備えるネットワークケーブルの終端を形成するためのジャックコネクターであって、
前記4対のコンダクターは、第1及び第2のコンダクターを備える第1の対と、第3及び第4のコンダクターを備える第2の対と、第5及び第6のコンダクターを備える第3の対と、第7及び第8のコンダクターを備える第4の対と、を備え、
前記ジャックコネクターは、第1乃至第8の電気的トレースを備えた印刷回路基板(PCB)を備えており、
前記第1乃至第8のコンダクターに対して、それぞれ前記第1乃至第8の電気的トレースが設けられ、
前記第1、第2、第3及び第4の電気的トレース(3、6、4、5)の各々は、ニュートラル領域により分離された2つの誘導性カップリング領域を通過し、第1及び第2の電気的トレースは、ジャックコネクタの第3及び第6の接触子に対応し、第3及び第4の電気的トレースは、ジャックコネクタの第4及び第5の接触子に対応し、
