Claims (6)
- 後端から軸線に沿って前方へ延びる後部穴と、前記後部穴の内径よりも大きな内径であって前記後部穴の前方端と接続し軸線に沿って前方へ延びる中間穴と、前記中間穴の前方端と接続して先端まで軸線に沿って延び先端に向かうほど内径が大きくなるテーパ穴であるコレット保持穴と、前記後部穴と前記中間穴との境界に位置し軸線と直角な平坦面であって前方へ指向する境界壁面とが形成される工具ホルダ本体と、
前記コレット保持穴に着脱可能に挿入され、先端領域に工具挿入穴およびスリ割りが形成されるとともに先端領域の外周面が先端に向かうほど外径が大きくなるテーパ形状のコレットと、
前記後部穴の内径よりも大きな外径の頭部と、前記頭部の外径よりも小さな外径の軸部とを有し、前記頭部を後端側とし前記軸部を先端側とし前記コレット保持穴の先端開口から挿入されて前記中間穴の内部に配置され、前記頭部の後方端面が軸線と直角な平坦面である前記工具ホルダ本体に形成された境界壁面と対向して後端方向への移動が規制され、前記軸部の先端領域が前記コレットの後端部と螺合する引きねじと、
前記引きねじの軸部の外周面および前記中間穴の内周面との間の環状空間に配置されて引きねじの頭部の前方端面と対向し、前記頭部の先端方向への移動を規制するストッパ部材とを備え、
前記引きねじは、締め付け回転されて前記コレットを後端方向へ引き込んで前記スリ割りを押し縮めながら前記工具挿入穴の内径を収縮させ、緩め回転されて前記コレットを先端方向へ押し出すよう構成される、工具ホルダ。 - 前記引きねじの頭部の前方端面と前記ストッパ部材の後方端面との間に介挿されて摩擦係数を下げるよう表面処理されたリング状のスリップ座をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の工具ホルダ。
- 前記工具ホルダ本体は、外周面と前記中間穴とを連通し、内周面に雌ねじを有する貫通横孔が形成され、
前記貫通横孔に螺合して先端が前記ストッパ部材を押圧するサイドロック部材をさらに備える、請求項1または2に記載の工具ホルダ。 - 前記工具ホルダ本体のうち軸線を挟んで前記貫通横孔と反対側の部位には、前記貫通横孔および前記サイドロック部材との質量釣り合いを取るためのバランス部が設けられる、請求項3に記載の工具ホルダ。
- 前記引きねじおよび前記コレットは、それぞれクーラントの通過を許容する連続したクーラント通路が設けられる、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の工具ホルダ。
- 後端から前方へ延びる後部穴と、前記後部穴の内径よりも大きな内径であって前記後部穴の前方端と接続し前方へ延びる中間穴と、前記中間穴の前方端と接続して先端まで延び先端に向かうほど内径が大きくなるテーパ穴であるコレット保持穴と、前記後部穴と前記中間穴との境界に位置し後端から先端まで延びる軸線と直角な平坦面であって前方に指向する境界壁面とが形成され、先端領域に工具挿入穴およびスリ割りを有して前記コレット保持穴に挿通されるコレットを、後端方向に引き込んで前記スリ割りを押し縮めながら前記工具挿入穴の内径を収縮させて保持する工具ホルダを製造するに際し、
前記後部穴の内径よりも大きな外径の頭部と、前記頭部の外径よりも小さな外径の軸部と、前記軸部の先端領域に形成されて前記コレットと螺合するための雄ねじとを有する引きねじを、引きねじの頭部を後端側とし前記軸部を先端側として前記コレット保持穴の先端開口から挿入し、中間穴の内部に前記引きねじを配置して、前記頭部の後方端面を軸線と直角な平坦面である前記工具ホルダ本体に形成された境界壁面と対向させて後端方向への移動を規制する工程と、
前記引きねじの先端方向への移動を規制するストッパ部材を、前記コレット保持穴の先端開口から挿入し、前記引きねじの軸部の外周面および前記中間穴の内周面との間の環状空間に前記ストッパ部材を配置して、前記頭部の先端方向への移動を規制する工程とを含む、工具ホルダの組立方法。
