本発明の他の目的は、耐浸透性に優れた回転成形物品の製造方法を提供することにある。
本発明のさらに他の目的は、衝撃吸収特性に優れた回転成形物品の製造方法を提供することにある。
本発明のさらに他の目的は、回転成形物品に追加のパーツを簡単に接着することができる回転成形物品を提供することにある。
本発明のさらに他の目的は、ソフトなタッチを有する回転成形物品を提供することにある。
本発明のさらに他の目的は、乾燥時にスリップ防止特性を有する回転成形物品を提供することにある。
本発明のさらに他の目的は、親水性または疎水性の特性を有する回転成形物品を提供することにある。
(a) 30〜99.5重量%のメタロセン触媒を用いて製造したポリエチレンと、70〜0.5重量%の官能化されたポリエチレンとから成る組成物で作られた内側層、
(b) 主成分がポリエーテルエステル、飽和ポリエステル、ポリカーボネートまたはエチレン-酢酸ビニル(EVA)から選択され、マイナー成分が任意成分である外側層、
の層を有し、2層間の接着が上記内側層の組成物によって行なわれる、ことを特徴とする、回転成形によって製造された二重層物品を提供する。
本発明物品は、従来法を用いて接着される追加の層、例えば結合層を介して接着される追加の層をさらに含むことができる。
「主成分」とは50重量%以上を含むことを意味する。「マイナー成分」とはその成分の比率が50重量%未満であることを意味する。
HO-[C(O)-PA-C(O)-O-PEth-O]n-H (I)
(ここで、PAはポリアミドセグメントを表し、PEthはポリエーテル・セグメントを表す)
ポリアミドセグメントの例はPA 6、PA 66、PA 11またはPA 12である。ポリエーテルセグメントの例はポリエチレングリコール(PEG)、ポリプロピレングリコール(PPG)またはポリテトラメチレングリコール(PTMG)である。ポリアミド単位の分子量Mnは通常300〜15,000であり、ポリエーテル単位の分子量Mnは通常100〜6000である。
この材料は例えばアルケマ(Arkema)社からペバックス(Pebax)(登録商標)の商品名で入手できる。
1)ジカルボン酸鎖末端を有するポリオキシアルキレンブロックとジアミン鎖末端を有するポリアミドブロックとの重縮合;
2)ポリエーテルジオールと呼ばれるジヒトロキシ化された脂肪族α、ω−ポリオキシアルキレンブロックのシアノエチル化と水素化で得られるジアミン鎖末端を有するポリオキシアルキレンブロックとジカルボン酸鎖末端を有するポリアミドブロックとの重縮合;
3)ジカルボン酸鎖末端を有するポリアミドブロックとポリエーテルジオールとの重縮合(この場合に得られる製品をポリエーテルエステルアミドという)。
ポリアミドブロックとポリエーテルブロックとを有するポリマーはランダムに分布した単位を含むことができる。これらのポリマーはポリエーテルとポリアミドブロックの先駆物質との同時反応で製造できる。例えば、ポリエーテルジオールと、ポリアミド先駆物質と、連鎖停止用ジアシッドとを一緒に反応させることができる。基本的にポリエーテルブロックとポリアミドブロックとを有する種々の長さのポリマーが得られるが、それに加えて、ランダムに反応したポリマー鎖に沿ってランダムに分布した種々の反応物も得られる。
熱可塑性ポリウレタンは例えばElastogran社から市販の商品エラストラン(Elastollan)(登録商標)またはダウケミカル社から市販の商品ペルエタン(Pellethane)(登録商標)である。
ビニリデンフルオライドとヘキサフルオロプロピレンとのコポリマーはエラストマ特性を有しないが、一般に「フッ素エラストマー」とよばれている。

本発明において、好ましくは使うことができるエチレンのホモポリマーおよびコポリマーは、0.975グラム/ミリリットルまで、そして、好ましくは、範囲0.915において、0.955グラム/ミリリットルまで範囲0.910の密度を有する。密度は23℃でASTM D 1505規格のテスト方法で測定される。
(1)優れた衝撃吸収性、
(2)優れた耐衝撃特性、
(3)ソフトな触覚、
(4)ポリアミドと同様な良好な障壁特性で且つコストを抑える、
(5)乾燥時にスリップを防止し、湿潤時にスリップを容易にする、
(6)加工温度範囲を広くする、
(7)良好な硬度
(8)耐引掻き抵抗性
(1)次の層を追加する時の温度:これはそれ以前に形成された壁の厚さと、2つの層の接着性を決定する上で重要である。
(2)次の層の材料を追加するまでの経過時間:金型を長時間休止状態にすると、壁に接着している材料がたるむことがある。
(3)各層の結晶化温度:大きく異なってはならない。
内側層の樹脂はエチレンビステトラヒドロインデニル・ジルコニウム二塩化物をベースにしたメタロセン触媒系を用いて製造した97重量%のポリエチレン樹脂(メルトフローインデックスMI2が4dg/分、密度は0.940g/cm3)と、3重量%のグラフトしたポリエチレンとの混合物にした。
(1)600gの粉末状のペバックス(Pebax)(登録商標)を10リットルの金型中に入れた。
(2)金型を300℃の温度に予熱されたオーブン中に入れた。
(3)金型の内部温度が180℃に達した時にオーブンから取り出す。
(4)金型を開き、600gのポリエチレンブレンドをガス抜き管を介して入れた。
(5)金型を再び予熱されたオーブン中に入れた。
(6)金型の内部温度が220℃に達した時にオーブンから取り出した。
(7)金型を室温で30分間、空気冷却した。
(8)温度が7O℃になった時に回転成形された部品を金型から出した。
衝撃強度はISO 6602-3規格のテスト方法を使用して-20℃の温度でテストした。このテストで使用した器具は[図2]に示してある。質量Mは26.024kで、速度vは4.43m/sで、衝撃エネルギーは255Jである。結果は[図3]に示してある。[図3]から分かるように、曲線上のPで示したピークエネルギーを越えても物品は破損しない。これはピークエネルギーを超えた面積で示される。これは延性(ductile)挙動の特徴である。
Claims (6)
- 下記の(a)と(b)の層を有し、2層間の接着が下記の内側層の組成物によって行なわれる、ことを特徴とする、回転成形によって製造された二重層ドラム:
(a) 30〜99.5重量%のメタロセン触媒を用いて製造したポリエチレンと、70〜0.5重量%の官能化されたポリエチレンとから成る組成物で作られた内側層、
(b) 主成分がポリエーテルエステル、飽和ポリエステルまたはエチレン−酢酸ビニル(EVA)から選択され、マイナー成分がポリエーテル-ブロックコポリアミド、熱可塑性ポリウレタンおよびフルオロポリマから成る群の中から選択される外側層。 - 官能化されたポリエチレンがグラフトポリエチレン、アイオノマーまたはこれらの混合物である請求項1に記載の二重層ドラム。
- メタロセン触媒成分がビス(テトラヒドロインデニル)またはビス(n-ブチル−シクロペンタジエニル)である請求項1または2に記載の二重層ドラム。
- 下記の(a)と(b)の層を有し、2層間の接着が下記の内側層の組成物によって行なわれる、ことを特徴とする、回転成形によって製造された二重層バンパー:
(a) 30〜99.5重量%のメタロセン触媒を用いて製造したポリエチレンと、70〜0.5重量%の官能化されたポリエチレンとから成る組成物で作られた内側層、
(b) 主成分がポリエーテルエステル、飽和ポリエステルまたはエチレン−酢酸ビニル(EVA)から選択され、マイナー成分がポリエーテル-ブロックコポリアミド、熱可塑性ポリウレタンおよびフルオロポリマから成る群の中から選択される外側層。 - 官能化されたポリエチレンがグラフトポリエチレン、アイオノマーまたはこれらの混合物である請求項4に記載の二重層バンパー。
- メタロセン触媒成分がビス(テトラヒドロインデニル)またはビス(n-ブチル−シクロペンタジエニル)である請求項4または5に記載の二重層バンパー。
