Description
(1)イソシアヌレート環を有するポリイソシアネート、このポリイソシアネートは官能性が3以上である、
(2)平均分子量が約500ダルトン以上で且つカルボン酸を有するポリアミン。
本発明の反応成分は芳香族ジアミンの連鎖延長剤(chain extender)をさらに含むことができる。反応成分の全カルボン酸基およびアミン基に対するイソシアネート基のモル比は1.5〜3.5の間である。
本発明の一つの実施例では、さらに、下記(1)〜(4)の反応成分を反応させる段階を含む方法が提供される(反応物の量はポリ尿素接着剤を形成する反応物の全量に対する重量分率):
(1)3つ以上の官能基を有する、イソシアヌレート環を有するポリイソシアネート 40〜70%、
(2)平均分子量が約500ダルトン以上であるポリアミン 10〜40%、
(3)カルボン酸 5〜25%、
(4)芳香族ジアミンの連鎖延長剤 0〜20%
本発明はポリ尿素接着剤と、その使用方法と、その製造方法と、ボンディング材料としての接着剤を含む物品とを提供する。本発明のポリ尿素接着剤はエラストマー、特に架橋したゴム組成物の結合に使用するのに特に適している。
(a) ポリイソシアネート 40〜70%または約50〜65%、
(b) ポリアミン 10〜40%または約15〜30%、
(c) 三量化触媒 0〜2%または約0.5〜1.5%、
(d) 連鎖延長剤 0〜20%または約5〜15%、
(e) カルボン酸 5〜25%または約10〜25%
(1)4〜12の炭素原子を有する共役ジエンモノマーの重合で得られる任意のホモポリマー、
(2)一種以上のジエン類または8〜20の炭素原子を有する一種以上のビニル芳香族化合物との共重合で得られる任意のコポリマー、
(3)エチレンまたは3〜6の炭素原子を有するα-オレフィンと6〜12の炭素原子を有する非共役ジエンモノマーとの共重合によって得られる3元コポリマー、例えばエチレンまたはプロピレンと上記タイプの非共役ジエンモノマー、特に1,4-ヘキサジエン、エチリデンノルボメンまたはジシクロペンタジエンとから得られるエラストマー、
(4)イソブテンとイソプレン(ブチルゴムまたはIIR)、更にはハロゲン、特に塩素または臭素とのコポリマー、この種類のコポリマーの変形例。
表面の化学の改質修は下記の方法の任意の一つで実行できる。
以下、本発明の実施例を示すが、本発明が下記実施例に限定されるものではない。
この実施例は反応物としてカルボン酸を用いた構成したポリ尿素接着剤の結合強度の驚くべき増加を示すものである。
「ANCAMENOB K54」もエアープロダクツ(Air Products)社から入手可能な三量化触媒トリス(ジメチルアミノメチル)フェノールである。
「ETHACURE 300」はアルベマール(Albemarle Corporation)社から入手可能な短鎖芳香族アミンの連鎖延長剤で、この化合物は芳香族のジアミン3,5-ジメチルチオ-2,4-(および2,6−)トルエンジアミン(DMTDA)である。
「SYLVATAL D40LR」は、アリゾナケミカル(Arizona Chemical)社から入手可能な蒸留されたトール油で、約40%のロジン酸と約60%の脂肪酸とから成る。
「TOLONATE HDTLV」はロディア(Rhodia)社から入手可能なHDIトリマー化合物で、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート(HDIホモポリマー)をベースにした脂肪族ポリイソシアネートで、HDIイソシアヌレートともよばれる。
Claims (22)
- 下記(1)〜(4):
(1)3つ以上の官能基を有する、イソシアヌレート環を有するポリイソシアネート、
(2)平均分子量が500ダルトン以上であるポリアミン、
(3)カルボン酸、
(4)芳香族ジアミン連鎖延長剤、
の反応成分の反応によって得られ、全てのアミン基およびカルボン酸基に対するイソシアネート基のモル比が1.5〜3.5の間にあることを特徴とするポリ尿素接着剤組成物。 - 上記ポリイソシアネートが3つの官能基を有するヘキサメチレンジイソシアネートから誘導されるトリマーである請求項1に記載のポリ尿素接着剤。
- カルボン酸が脂肪酸、ロジン酸またはこれらの混合物の中から選択される請求項1に記載のポリ尿素接着剤。
- カルボン酸が蒸留したトール油(tall oil)である請求項1に記載のポリ尿素接着剤。
- トール油がオレイン酸、リノール酸、アビエチン酸およびデヒドロアビエチン酸を含む請求項4に記載のポリ尿素接着剤。
- ポリアミンの平均分子量が950ダルトン以上である請求項1に記載のポリ尿素接着剤。
- ポリアミンがオリゴマーのジアミンである請求項1に記載のポリ尿素接着剤。
- ポリアミンがポリエーテルジアミンである請求項7に記載のポリ尿素接着剤。
- ポリアミンがポリオキシプロピレンジアミン、ポリオキシエチレンジアミン、ポリオキシテトラメチレンジアミンまたはこれの混合物である請求項8に記載のポリ尿素接着剤。
- イソシアネート基からイソシアヌレート基を形成することができる三量化触媒をさらに含む請求項1に記載のポリ尿素接着剤。
- 下記(1)〜(4)の反応成分を反応物の全量に対して下記重量比率で反応させてポリ尿素接着剤を形成する方法:
(1)イソシアヌレート環を有するポリイソシアネート、このポリイソシアネートは3以上の官能基を有する: 40〜70%、
(2)500ダルトン以上の平均分子量を有するポリアミン: 10〜40%、
(3)カルボン酸: 5〜25%、
(4)芳香族ジアミンの連鎖延長剤: 0〜20%、
ただし、全てのアミン基およびカルボン酸基に対するイソシアネート基のモル比は1.5〜3.5の間にある。 - 上記ポリ尿素接着剤を架橋したゴム物品の表面上に塗布し、その架橋したゴム物品の表面を基材と結合させる工程をさらに含む請求項11に記載の方法。
- 基材が架橋したゴム物品から成る請求項12に記載の方法。
- 架橋したゴム物品がパッチであり、基材がタイヤである請求項12に記載の方法。
- 請求項1の接着剤を用いて物品に結合された部品を有する物品。
- 上記部品と物品との間の結合面が架橋したゴム組成物から成る請求項15に記載の物品。
- 物品がタイヤである請求項16に記載の物品。
- 上記部品がトレッド・バンドである請求項16に記載の物品。
- 上記部品がパッチである請求項16に記載の物品。
- 部品と物品との間の結合面の少なくとも1部が架橋したゴム組成物から成る請求項16に記載の物品。
- 上記部品の面が合成繊維、熱硬化性樹脂、鉄金属、鉄基合金またはこれらの組合せから成る請求項20に記載の物品。
- 物品の面が合成繊維、熱硬化性樹脂、鉄金属、鉄基合金またはこれらの組合せから成る請求項20に記載の物品。
