例1
2ミルのナイロンフィルムのロールを、繊維ガラス製造ラインの下部のピット内の巻き出しスタンド上に設置する。主にポリプロピレンからなるホットメルト接着剤を、約350°Fの塗布温度で、フィルム上にスプレーする。次に、暖かい粘着性の接着剤を有するフィルムを、このナイロンフィルムの上方で移動している鉱物繊維絶縁材のレーンの底面へとコンベアライン上で結合させる。接着剤を有しているフィルムは、コンベアラインの隙間を通って鉱物繊維絶縁材へと導入される。フィルム/鉱物繊維積層体を、製造ライン上でさらにバット又はロールへと処理し、引き続いて包装する。
スプレーしたホットメルト接着剤を用いて繊維ガラス絶縁材に積層し、その後、繊維ガラスから取り除いた0.002”厚のナイロン6フィルム(吹き込み押出し及びキャスト押出しされた)を、ASTM E96のウェットカップ(ウォータ法)及びドライカップ(デシカント法)に従い、25%、35%、45%、75%、85%及び95%の平均相対湿度曝露を達成する23℃での互いに異なる試験チャンバ湿度を用いて試験し、ホットメルト接着剤を塗布していない未積層の0.002”厚のナイロン6フィルム(吹き込み及びキャストされた)と比較した。ホットメルトスプレーポリプロピレン接着剤を、2ミルのナイロンフィルムに、楕円スプレーガン及び渦巻きスプレーガンを組み合わせて用いて塗布した。フィルムを、繊維ガラス絶縁材に積層し、その後、水蒸気透過性試験のために繊維ガラスから取り除いた。3%の帯電防止剤が、インフレーションにより製造された2ミルのナイロン6フィルムに含まれていた。キャストフィルム押し出しにより製造された2ミルのナイロンフィルムには、帯電防止剤はなかった。結果を以下の表に示す。
ASTM F1249−01「変調赤外センサを使用するプラスティックフィルム及びシーティングの水蒸気透過率の標準試験法(Standard Test Method for Water Vapor Transmission Rate Through Plastic Film and Sheeting Using a Modulated Infrared Sensor)」に従って、試験を実施した。3%の帯電防止剤を有している0.002”厚のナイロン6キャスト押し出しフィルムであって、スプレーしたホットメルト接着剤を用いて繊維ガラス絶縁材に積層され、その後にガラス繊維から取り除いたフィルムを、ASTM F1249−01に従って試験した。また、3%の帯電防止剤を有している0.002”厚のナイロン6キャスト押し出しフィルムであって、積層されておらず、塗布されたホットメルト接着剤を有していないフィルムも試験した。20、25、40及び50%の平均相対湿度に曝したフィルムを用いて試験を実施した。温度は、全ての試験について23℃(73.4°F)に保った。結果は以下の通りであった。

2.0ミルのキャストナイロンフィルムを、Henkel50−0965 MHVを用いて、50%の表面被覆率で被覆した。接着剤は0.9g/ft2の湿潤被覆重量で塗布した。

Claims (25)
- 積層物品を製造する方法であって、
接着剤を、ASTM E96の方法Aのデシカント法に従って平均RH25パーセントで測定される約1.73perm以下の水蒸気透過性と、ASTM E96の方法Bのウォータ法によって平均RH75パーセントで測定される約3.45perm以上の透過性とを有している防湿材フィルムに提供することであって、前記接着剤を、15インチの塗布幅に基づいて前記フィルムの1線フィートあたり約0.4乃至約1.5グラム(乾燥重量)の量で提供することと、
前記フィルムを建材の少なくとも1つの面に接触させることと
を具備し、前記建材は、鉱物繊維絶縁バット又は鉱物繊維絶縁スラブである方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記フィルムはポリアミドフィルムを具備した方法。
- 請求項2記載の方法であって、前記ポリアミドフィルムは、ポリアミド6フィルム、ポリアミド4フィルム又はポリアミド3フィルムである方法。
