(1) 移植可能な医療装置を被覆するための方法において、
(a)パリレン層の供給および自己酸化の開始因子を減少するために前記パリレン層をアニールする処理を含む、前記移植可能な医療装置にプライマー被膜を供給する処理、
(b)種々のポリマーおよび治療剤を含有している下部被膜溶液を調製して前記下部被膜溶液を前記パリレンにより被覆した前記移植可能な医療装置に供給する処理を含み、前記下部被膜溶液が酸素の存在および酸素に対する前記下部被膜溶液の曝露を減少するための方法を利用して調製および供給され、さらに、前記治療剤のガラス転移温度を高めて前記治療剤を自己酸化から保護するための被膜組織を形成する処理、
(c)少なくとも1種類のポリマーを含有している上部被膜溶液を調製して前記上部被膜溶液を前記下部被膜溶液により被覆した前記移植可能な医療装置に供給する処理を含み、前記上部被膜溶液が酸素の存在および酸素に対する前記上部被膜溶液の曝露を減少するための方法を利用して調製および供給され、さらに、前記治療剤のガラス転移温度を高めて前記治療剤を自己酸化から保護するための被膜組織を形成する処理、および
(d)最終的に、前記被覆した医療装置の検査、包装および滅菌処理を含む前記移植可能な医療装置を処理することを含み、前記最終的な処理が前記治療剤を自己酸化から保護する処理、遊離ラジカルの存在および遊離ラジカルに対する全ての材料の曝露を減少して酸素の存在および酸素に対する全ての材料の曝露を減少する処理を含む。
Claims (15)
- 移植可能な医療装置を被覆するための方法において、
(a)パリレン層の供給および自己酸化の開始因子を減少させるために前記パリレン層をアニールする処理を含む、前記移植可能な医療装置にプライマー被膜を供給する処理、
(b)種々のポリマーおよび治療剤を含有している下部被膜溶液を調製して前記下部被膜溶液を前記パリレンにより被覆した前記移植可能な医療装置に供給する処理を含み、前記下部被膜溶液が酸素の存在および酸素に対する前記下部被膜溶液の曝露を減少させるための方法を利用して調製および供給され、前記下部被膜溶液を供給された前記移植可能な医療装置が、30%〜55%の相対湿度において、循環する空気で少なくとも30分間乾燥される処理、
(c)少なくとも1種類のポリマーを含有している上部被膜溶液を調製して前記上部被膜溶液を前記下部被膜溶液により被覆した前記移植可能な医療装置に供給する処理を含み、前記上部被膜溶液が酸素の存在および酸素に対する前記上部被膜溶液の曝露を減少させるための方法を利用して調製および供給される処理、
(d)前記上部被膜の成分を再溶解し、表面仕上げ及び前記治療剤の溶解特性を変化させることができるトルエンを供給し、前記上部被膜溶液及びトルエンを供給された前記移植可能な医療装置が、30%〜55%の相対湿度において、循環する空気で少なくとも30分間乾燥される処理、
(e)前記治療剤のガラス転移温度を高めて前記治療剤を自己酸化から保護するための被膜構造を形成する処理、及び
(f)最終的に、前記被覆した医療装置の検査、包装および滅菌処理を含む前記移植可能な医療装置を処理することを含み、前記最終的な処理が前記治療剤を自己酸化から保護する処理、遊離ラジカルの存在および遊離ラジカルに対する全ての材料の曝露を減少させて酸素の存在および酸素に対する全ての材料の曝露を減少させる処理を含む、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
乾燥後、溶媒に対する曝露を最少にすることにより、ガラス転移温度を高める処理をさらに含む、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記医療装置を溶媒が存在しない環境内で保管する工程をさらに含む、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
被膜処理後の残留溶媒のための所定の時間が経過することにより、残留溶媒の除去を増加する工程をさらに含む、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
減圧条件及び加熱により、残留溶媒の除去を助長する工程をさらに含む、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
水の含有量を減少させることにより、残留溶媒の除去を増やす工程をさらに含む、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記最終工程が、不活性ガス下において減圧状態で包装する工程をさらに含む、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
遊離ラジカルが最少の材料を用いることにより、遊離ラジカル及び自己酸化の開始因子の存在、ならびに遊離ラジカル及び自己酸化の開始因子への曝露を最少にする工程をさらに含む、方法。 - 請求項8に記載の方法において、
被膜溶液及び溶媒のデカンテーションを最小化する工程をさらに含む、方法。 - 請求項9に記載の方法において、
溶存酸素を減少させるための不活性ガスによるブランケット処理をさらに含む、方法。 - 請求項10に記載の方法において、
高濃度窒素の環境において行うことにより、酸素濃度を低下させる工程をさらに含む、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記下部被膜が、前記医療装置に一度に供給される、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記下部被膜が、前記医療装置に徐々に供給される、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記上部被膜が、前記医療装置に一度に供給される、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記上部被膜が、前記医療装置に徐々に供給される、方法。
