Description
前記表面側透明保護部材は、少なくとも前記太陽電池セル側表面に、微細な凹凸部を有し、
前記太陽電池用封止膜の目付け厚さTCが、下記式(1):
(2)半導体基板の厚さが、0.01〜0.5mmである。このように半導体基板の厚さが薄くても、太陽電池セルの破損を高く防止することができる。
(3)前記表面側透明保護部材における微細な凹凸部は、エンボス加工により設けられたものである。
(4)前記表面側透明保護部材は、ガラス基板である。
(5)前記裏面側保護部材が、プラスチックフィルムからなる。
(6)前記太陽電池用封止膜が、耐水性、透明度に優れることから、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体を含む組成物を成膜することにより得られた膜である。
本発明の太陽電池セルに用いられる半導体基板は、PN接合部が形成された半導体基板など、従来公知のものを特に制限されずに用いることができる。半導体基板としては、単結晶、多結晶、あるいは非晶質によって構成された光半導体素子などが用いられる。具体的には、非晶質シリコンa−Si,水素化非晶質シリコンa−Si:H,水素化非晶質シリコンカーバイドa−SiC:H,非晶質シリコンナイトライドなどの他、シリコンと炭素、ゲルマニウム、スズなどの他の元素との合金から成る非晶質シリコン系半導体の非晶質あるいは微結晶をpin型、nip型、ni型、pn型、MIS型、ヘテロ接合型、ホモ接合型、ショットキーバリアー型あるいはこれらを組み合わせた型などに構成した半導体層が用いられる。その他、光半導体層はCdS系、GaAs系、InP系などであってもよい。
半導体基板において、N型領域の表面上には表面側電極が形成され、P型領域の表面上には裏面側電極が形成される。表面側電極16および裏面側電極17は、図2に示すように、電気出力を取り出すためのバスバー電極19aおよびフィンガー電極19bを有する。しかしながら、裏面側電極の形態は、図2に示すものに限定されず、図3に示すように、裏面側バスバー電極20aおよび裏面側集電用電極20bからなる形態であってもよい。
接続タブは、平角状の銅箔などからなるものが用いられる。接続タブの厚さは、0.15〜1.0mm程度であればよい。また、接続タブの表面全体には、20〜70μm程度の半田コートがなされているのがよい。また、接続タブの幅は、バスバー電極と同程度にすればよい。
本発明の太陽電池モジュールでは、表面側透明保護部材の少なくとも太陽電池セル側表面には、光を散乱させて反射率を低下させるために、微細な凹凸部が形成されている。このように微細な凹凸部を設けることで、太陽電池モジュールに防眩効果を付与することができる。また、微細な凹凸部を表面側透明保護部材の太陽電池セル側表面に形成することで、その外部環境からの汚染物質が付着を抑制して、太陽電池モジュールの外観、光電変換効率の低下を抑制することができる。しかしながら、微細な凹凸部を形成するのは、表面側透明保護部材の太陽電池セル側表面のみに限定されず、表面側透明保護部材の受光面側にもさらに形成されてもよい。
裏面側保護部材としては、軽量であり、薄型化および柔軟性などの観点から、PETなどのプラスチックフィルムなどが用いられるのが好ましい。耐熱性を考慮すると、裏面側保護部材は、フッ化ポリエチレフィルムが好ましい。
本発明において、表面側および裏面側に用いられる封止膜は、公知のものであれば特に制限されない。例えば、エチレン−極性モノマー共重合体を含む組成物を成膜することにより得られた膜が好ましく用いられる。
1.太陽電池セルの作製
半導体基板としてシリコン発電素子(大きさ125mm×125mm、厚さ0.18mm)の表面側および裏面側に、銀粉末と有機ビヒクルとガラスフリットを、銀100重量部に対してそれぞれ20重量部、3重量部を添加してペースト状にした銀ペーストを、スクリーン印刷法で塗布して乾燥させた後、750℃で15分間焼き付けた。これにより、シリコン発電素子の表面側および裏面側に、図2に示すように、バスバー電極(厚さ0.40mm、幅2mm)およびフィンガー電極(厚さ0.05mm、幅0.1mm)を作製した。
次に、EVA(EVA100質量部に対して酢酸ビニルの含有量が28質量部)100質量部、架橋剤2質量部、架橋助剤2質量部、および添加剤0.5質量部を、ロールミルに供給し、80℃で、混練して組成物を調製した。得られた組成物を、100℃で、カレンダ成形し、放冷後、封止膜(大きさ300mm×300mm、目付け厚さ1.0mm)を得た。なお、架橋剤、架橋助剤、および添加剤としては、以下のものを用いた。
架橋助剤:トリアリルイソシアヌレート
添加剤 :γ−メタクリロキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン
ガラス板(大きさ300mm×300mm、厚さ3mm)をエンボス加工することにより、太陽電池セル側表面に微細な凹凸部が形成されたガラス板(TB0.05mm)を得た。
半田層(厚さ50μm)を設けた幅3mm、厚さ300μmの銅箔製の接続タブを、表面側および裏面側の各バスバー電極の全長にわたってホットエアの熱溶着により貼り付けて、図1に示すように、上述の太陽電池セル同士を接続配線した。
バスバー電極の厚さ、表面側透明保護部材のガラス基板における凹部の深さ、および太陽電池用封止膜の目付け厚さを、表1に示す通りにした以外は、実施例1と同様にして太陽電池モジュールを作製し、半導体基板の損傷を調べた。結果をまとめて表1に示す。
1.太陽電池用封止膜の目付け厚さTC
太陽電池用封止膜を10cm×10cmの大きさにカットしたものの重量W1を1/100g精度の精密天秤を用いて測定し、W1およびEVAの比重D1(0.95g/cm3)を用いて、上記式(A)から太陽電池用封止膜の目付け厚さTC(mm)を算出した。
バスバー電極の厚さは、表面測定装置(株式会社東京精密製 サーフコム300B)を用いて測定した。また、半導体基板の厚さは、表面測定装置(株式会社ミツトヨ製、ダイヤルゲージ2046SB)を用いて測定した。
まず、表面側透明保護部材を10cm×10cmの大きさにカットしたものの重量W2を1/100g精度の精密天秤を用いて測定し、W2およびガラス板の比重D2(2.5g/cm3)を用いて、上記式(B)から表面側透明保護部材の目付け厚さTB1(mm)を算出した。
Claims (8)
- 表面側透明保護部材と裏面側保護部材との間に、太陽電池用封止膜を介して、半導体基板と、その表面側および裏面側に設けられたバスバー電極とからなる複数の太陽電池セルを封止してなる太陽電池モジュールであって、
前記表面側透明保護部材は、少なくとも前記太陽電池セル側表面に、微細な凹凸部を有し、
前記太陽電池用封止膜の目付け厚さTCが、下記式(1):
[式(1)において、TCは前記太陽電池用封止膜の目付け厚さ(単位:mm)を表し、TAは前記バスバー電極の厚さ(単位:mm)を表し、0.02〜0.6mmであり、TBは前記微細な凹凸部の凹部の深さ(単位:mm)を表し、0.02〜0.5mmであり、そして、aは0.2〜1である。]を満足することを特徴とする太陽電池モジュール。 - 前記式(1)におけるaが、0.3以上である請求項1に記載の太陽電池モジュール。
- 前記半導体基板の厚さが、0.01〜0.5mmであることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の太陽電池モジュール。
- 前記微細な凹凸部は、前記表面側透明保護部材をエンボス加工することにより設けられたものである請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の太陽電池モジュール。
- 前記表面側透明保護部材が、ガラス基板からなる請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の太陽電池モジュール。
- 前記裏面側保護部材が、プラスチックフィルムからなる請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の太陽電池モジュール。
- 前記太陽電池用封止膜が、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体を含む組成物を成膜することにより得られた膜である請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の太陽電池モジュール。
- 前記エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体における酢酸ビニルの含有量が、前記エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体100質量部に対して5〜50質量部である請求項7に記載の太陽電池モジュール。
