Description
図1乃至8は、本発明の種々の方法および装置の例示的な形態を示している。説明を容易にするために、装置の例は、種々のハードウェアコンポーネントおよび相互接続によって実例として示されることのできる信号処理装置に関連して説明されているが、それに制限されない。当業者は、以下の説明からこれらの信号処理装置に対する別の構成を認識するであろう。
IS−95は、8つまでの順方向リンクおよび8つまでの逆方向リンクを使用して基地局(BS)が遠隔局(RS)と通信することを可能にすることによりデータの媒体データレート(MDR)伝送をサポートする。さらに進歩したものは、いくぶん類似したシステムを使用してさらに高いデータレート(HDR)の伝送を可能にする。一般に、通信の品質を維持するために必要とされる最も低い可能なパワーレベルでデータが送信された場合、それはBSとRSとの間でさらに効率的に通信されることができる。
上述した種々の方法の実施形態に加えて、本発明の別の特徴はこれらの方法を行なうために使用される装置に関するものである。
図3のAは、本発明にしたがって使用されるように構成された移動局(MS)401 の簡単なブロック図を示している。MS401 はcdma2000多搬送波FLを使用して基地局(示されていない)から信号を受信する。信号は以下のように処理される。MS401 は基地局に情報を送信するためにcdma2000多搬送波FLを使用する。図3のBは、MS401 によって送信されるように情報を処理するために本発明にしたがって使用されるチャンネル構造の詳細なブロック図を示している。図面において、以降信号と呼ばれる送信されるべき情報は、ビットのブロックに構成されたビットで送信される。CRCおよびテールビット発生器(発生器)403 は信号を受信する。この発生器403 は、受信機によって受信されたときに信号の品質を決定するのを助けるために周期冗長検査コードを使用してパリティチェックビットを発生する。これらのビットは信号中に含まれている。ビットの固定シーケンスであるテールビットもまたエンコーダ405 を既知の状態にリセットするためにデータのブロックの終りに付加されてもよい。
例えば上記に記載された方法がマシンで読取ることのできる指令のシ−ケンスを実行するために基地局を動作することによって実行される。これらの命令は図8に示されているような種々のタイプの信号伝送媒体による。この点に関して、本発明の1実施形態はプログラムされた製品、あるいは製造品に関連し、上記記載の方法を実行するデジタル信号プロセッサによって実行可能なマシン読み出し可能な命令のプログラムを確実に実行する信号搬送媒体を含んでいる。
[その他の実施形態]
本発明の現在考慮される例示的な実施形態について図示し説明したが、当業者には、添付された請求の範囲によって規定された本発明の技術的範囲から逸脱することなく種々の変形、変更が行うことができることは明白であろう。
以下に、本願出願の当初の特許請求の範囲に記載された発明を付記する。
[1] 1以上の第1のチャンネルによって基地局と遠隔局との間で音声・データを含んでいる信号を送信し、
1以上の第1のチャンネルによって送信された音声・データに対する送信パワーレベルを基地局で測定し、
その送信パワーレベルに対する履歴プロファイルを決定し、
この送信パワーレベルに対する履歴プロファイルを使用して、付加的なデータを送信するために第2のチャンネルの送信パワーレベルおよびデータレートを選択するステップを含んでいる無線通信システムにおけるデータ送信に好ましいスロットの予測方法。
[2] 基地局から受信された音声・データ信号の品質を反映した伝送測定規準を遠隔局で測定し、
音声・データ信号の品質の変化または無変化を遠隔局から基地局にメッセージで送信し、
基地局によって送信された音声・データに対する前記メッセージを考慮して送信パワーを調節するか、あるいは調節しないステップをさらに含んでいる[1]の方法。
[3] 無線通信システムでのデータ送信に好ましいスロットの予測方法を行なうための、デジタル信号処理装置によって実行可能なマシン読出し可能な命令のプログラムを確実に含んでいる信号伝送媒体において、
前記命令が、
基地局と遠隔局との間で音声・データを含む信号を送信し、
1以上の第1のチャンネルによって送信された音声・データに対する送信パワーレベルを基地局において測定し、
その送信パワーレベルに対する履歴プロファイルを決定し、
この送信パワーレベルに対する履歴プロファイルを使用して、付加的なデータを送信するために第2のチャンネルの送信パワーレベルおよびデータレートを選択する方法ステップを含んでいる信号伝送媒体。
[4] 前記命令はさらに、
基地局から受信された音声・データ信号の品質を反映している送信測定規準を遠隔局において測定し、
音声・データ信号の品質の変化または無変化についてのメッセージを遠隔局から基地局に送信し、
基地局によって送信された音声・データに対する前記メッセージを考慮して送信パワーを調節するか否かを実行するステップをさらに含んでいる[3]の信号伝送媒体。
[5] 無線通信システムにおける基地局と遠隔局との間のデータ送信に好ましいスロットを予測するために使用される装置において、
基地局が1以上のチャンネルを使用して遠隔局と通信することができるように遠隔局と通信するために接続されている基地局を具備し、
前記基地局は、
基地局と遠隔局との間で音声および非音声データ信号を送信することのできる送信機と、
送信機と通信するように接続されたデジタル信号処理装置とを具備し、
前記デジタル信号処理装置は、
1以上の第1のチャンネルによって遠隔局に送信された音声・データに対する送信パワーレベルを基地局において測定し、
1以上の第1のチャンネルによって行なわれた伝送に対するダイナミックな送信パワーレベルを決定し、
このダイナミックな送信パワーレベルを使用して、付加的なデータを遠隔局に送信するために第2のチャンネル送信スロットを選択するように命令を実行するように構成されている装置。
[6] 基地局から受信された音声・データ信号の品質を反映した伝送測定規準を遠隔局において測定する測定手段と、
音声・データ品質の変化または無変化を示す値のメッセージを基地局に送信するメッセージ送信手段と、
音声・データ品質に関する前記メッセージを考慮して送信パワーを調節するか否かを実行する手段とをさらに含んでいる[5]の装置。
Claims (19)
- 無線通信システムにおけるデータを送信するための装置において、
1以上の第1のチャンネルによって基地局から音声・データを含んでいる複数の信号を送信する手段と、
1以上の第1のチャンネルによって送信された音声・データに対する複数の信号にそれぞれ対応する複数の送信パワーレベルを基地局で測定する手段と、
瞬時平均送信パワーレベルである履歴情報の中の最低の瞬時平均送信パワーレベルを前記複数の送信パワーレベルに対して決定する手段と、
前記最低の瞬時平均送信パワーレベルを示す時間に基づいて、第2のチャンネルで付加的なデータを送信するためのスロットを選択する手段とを具備する装置。 - 第1のチャンネルは基本チャンネルである、請求項1記載の装置。
- 第2のチャンネルは補助チャンネルである、請求項2記載の装置。
- 基本チャンネルでの第1の送信は非音声・データである、請求項2記載の装置。
- 基本チャンネルでの第1の送信は音声・データであり、補助チャンネルでの第2の送信は非音声・データである、請求項3記載の装置。
- 送信は拡散スペクトル送信である、請求項5記載の装置。
- 無線通信システムにおけるデータを送信するための方法において、
1以上の第1のチャンネルによって基地局から音声・データを含んでいる複数の信号を送信し、
1以上の第1のチャンネルによって送信された音声・データに対する複数の信号にそれぞれ対応する複数の送信パワーレベルを基地局で測定し、
瞬時平均送信パワーレベルである履歴情報の中の最低の瞬時平均送信パワーレベルを前記複数の送信パワーレベルに対して決定し、
前記最低の瞬時平均送信パワーレベルを示す時間に基づいて、第2のチャンネルで付加的なデータを送信するためのスロットを選択することを含んでいる、方法。 - 第1のチャンネルは基本チャンネルである、請求項7記載の方法。
- 第2のチャンネルは補助チャンネルである、請求項8記載の方法。
- 基本チャンネルでの第1の送信は非音声・データである、請求項8記載の方法。
- 基本チャンネルでの第1の送信は音声・データであり、補助チャンネルでの第2の送信は非音声・データである、請求項9記載の方法。
- 送信は拡散スペクトル送信である、請求項11記載の方法。
- 移動無線装置で実行可能な複数の命令を記憶するためのプロセッサ読み取り可能な媒体において、
前記複数の命令は、
1以上の第1のチャンネルによって基地局から音声・データを含んでいる複数の信号を送信し、
1以上の第1のチャンネルによって送信された音声・データに対する複数の信号にそれぞれ対応する複数の送信パワーレベルを基地局で測定し、
瞬時平均送信パワーレベルである履歴情報の中の最低の瞬時平均送信パワーレベルを前記複数の送信パワーレベルに対して決定し、
前記最低の瞬時平均送信パワーレベルを示す時間に基づいて、第2のチャンネルで付加的なデータを送信するためのスロットを選択することが実行可能である、プロセッサ読み取り可能な媒体。 - 第1のチャンネルは基本チャンネルである、請求項13記載のプロセッサ読み取り可能な媒体。
- 第2のチャンネルは補助チャンネルである、請求項14記載のプロセッサ読み取り可能な媒体。
- 基本チャンネルでの第1の送信は非音声・データである、請求項14記載のプロセッサ読み取り可能な媒体。
- 基本チャンネルでの第1の送信は音声・データであり、補助チャンネルでの第2の送信は非音声・データである、請求項15記載のプロセッサ読み取り可能な媒体。
- 送信は拡散スペクトル送信である、請求項17記載のプロセッサ読み取り可能な媒体。
- 無線通信のための装置において、
1以上のプロセッサと、
前記1以上のプロセッサに結合されたメモリと、
2以上のセルから2以上の信号を受信するように構成されている受信機とを具備し、
前記1以上のプロセッサは、
第1のチャンネルによって基地局から音声・データを含んでいる複数の信号を送信し、
1以上の第1のチャンネルによって送信された音声・データに対する複数の信号にそれぞれ対応する複数の送信パワーレベルを基地局で測定し、
瞬時平均送信パワーレベルである履歴情報の中の最低の瞬時平均送信パワーレベルを前記複数の送信パワーレベルに対して決定し、
前記最低の瞬時平均送信パワーレベルを示す時間に基づいて、第2のチャンネルで付加的なデータを送信するためのスロットを選択するように構成されている、装置。
