Description
(a) 第一級アルコールから誘導したZDDP(ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛)、
(b) 50重量%以上の第二級アルコールから誘導したZDDP、
(c) 2,5-ジメルカプト-1,3,4-チアジアゾールまたはその誘導体であるチアジアゾール腐食防止剤
を含み、そして場合により、
(d) 低温で活性を有する脂肪酸第一級アミド摩擦調整剤、
(e) 少なくとも1つの補足の磨耗防止剤、
(f) 少なくとも1つの潤滑油分散剤、
(g) 少なくとも1つの酸化防止剤、および
(h) 少なくとも1つの金属清浄剤
を含んでもよく、また含むことが好ましい。
天然潤滑油としては、動物油、植物油(例えば、ヒマシ油およびラード油)、石油、鉱物油、および、石炭または頁岩由来の油が挙げられる。好ましい天然潤滑油は鉱物油である。
典型的には鉱物油は100℃において2.0mm2/s(cSt)から18.0mm2/s(cSt)の動粘性率を有する。好ましい鉱物油は、100℃において2から6mm2/s(cSt)の動粘性率を有し、そして最も好ましいのは、3から5mm2/s(cSt)の粘性率を有するものである。
本明細書に使用されるすべてのパーセンテージおよび割合は他に特定した場合を除いて活性成分基準であり、溶媒または担体油には関連しない。
本発明の潤滑組成物には、2,5-ジメルカプト-1,3,4-チアジアゾール(DMTD)またはその誘導体であるチアジアゾール錆防止剤が、潤滑剤組成物の重量を基準として、活性成分基準で効果的な量含まれる。適切な量は0.01から1.00重量%、好ましくは0.20から0.50重量%、最も好ましくは0.20から0.35重量%である。この範囲内における使用は、本発明の組成物を使用する金属シンクロナイザーを持つマニュアルトランスミッションまたはオートメーテッドマニュアルトランスミッションを十分に潤滑させるために重要である。
(a) 2-ヒドロカルビルジチオ-5-メルカプト-1,3,4-チアジアゾール、または2,5-ビス-(ヒドロカルビルジチオ)-1,3,4-チアジアゾール、およびこれらの混合物;
(b) DMTDのカルボン酸エステル;
(c) アルファ-ハロゲン化脂肪族モノカルボン酸とDMTDの縮合物;
(d) 不飽和環式炭化水素および不飽和ケトンとDMTDとの反応生成物;
(e) アルデヒドおよびジアリルアミンとDMTDとの反応生成物;
(f) DMTDのアミン塩;
(g) DMTDのジチオカルバマート誘導体;
(h) アルデヒドと、アルコールまたは芳香族ヒドロキシ化合物と、DMTDとの反応生成物;
(i) アルデヒド、メルカプタン、およびDMTDの反応生成物;
(j) 2-ヒドロカルビルチオ-5-メルカプト-1,3,4-チアジアゾール;および
(k) 油溶性分散剤をDMTDと組み合わせた生成物;
およびこれらの混合物が挙げられる。
本発明における使用に適したいくつかのチアジアゾールは、上記のa)、h)、およびk)に示すものである。2,5-ビス-(ヒドロカルビルジチオ)-1,3,4-チアジアゾール、ここでヒドロカルビルはノニルである、およびその一置換同等物である2-ヒドロカルビルチオ-5-メルカプト-1,3,4-チアジアゾールは、この2つの化合物の、およそ85%のビス-ヒドロカルビル対15%のモノヒドロカルビルの比率の混合物として、Ethyl社より"Hitec4313"として入手可能である。
本発明の無灰分散剤は、いかなる効果的な量で使用してもよい。しかしながら、それらは最終潤滑剤中に典型的には活性成分基準で約0.1から10.0質量%、好ましくは約0.5から7.0%、そして最も好ましくは約2.0から約5.0%で使用される。
油溶性中性金属含有清浄剤とは、清浄剤中に存在する酸性基の量に対して化学量論的当量の金属を含む清浄剤のことである。従って、一般に、中性清浄剤は、過塩基化の対応物と比較した場合に低い塩基性度を有する。そのような清浄剤の形成に使用される酸性物質としては、カルボン酸、サリチル酸、アルキルフェノール、スルホン酸、硫化アルキルフェノール等が挙げられる。
油溶性の中性および過塩基化の金属清浄剤およびアルカリ土類金属含有清浄剤の製造方法は当業者によく知られ、かつ、特許文献において広く報告されている。例えば、米国特許出願第2,001,108号; 2,081,075号; 2,095,538号; 2,114,078号; 2,163,622号の開示を参照のこと。
本発明における使用に好ましいカルシウム清浄剤は、過塩基化カルシウムスルホナートおよびフェナート、および過塩基化硫化カルシウムフェナートである。
以下の実施例は本発明の具体的な例示として与えられるものである。しかしながら、本発明は実施例に示される具体的な細部に限定されるものではないことが理解されるべきである。すべての割合およびパーセンテージは、他に特定した場合を除いて重量を基準とする。
真鍮シンクロナイザー
1つの評価はルノーにより指定された条件下においてルノーマニュアルトランスミッションに取り付けた真鍮シンクロナイザー(J63Dと表す)を使用して実施した。ルノーの条件下での評価が、100,000回の噛合で実施された。100,000回の噛合の終了時に、シンクロナイザーは依然として噛合のための十分な摩擦を提供していた。真鍮コーンの合計の磨耗は0.4mm未満であった。これは、本発明の組成物である流動体Aの、真鍮シンクロナイザー上の磨耗を抑える能力を示すものである。
焼結銅シンクロナイザー
2番目の評価は、ホルビガーによりHS45と表された焼結物質でコートした焼結銅シンクロナイザーを使用して実施した。これらのシンクロナイザー(BK117と表される)をZFにより製造されたマニュアルトランスミッションに取り付け、そしてZF(ZF フリードリヒスハーフェンAG)により指定された条件下でテストした。流動体Aを使用するZFの条件下における評価が、150,000回の噛合で実施された。150,000回の噛合の終了時にシンクロナイザーは良好な状態にあり、かつ、依然として許容される噛合を提供していた。摩擦レベルは0.097であり、最低限要求される0.07よりも十分に上であった。これは、本発明の組成物の、焼結銅シンクロナイザーにおいて十分な摩擦レベルを提供する能力を示すものである。
Claims (7)
- 金属シンクロナイザーを有するマニュアルトランスミッションまたはオートメーテッドマニュアルトランスミッション装置を潤滑させるための方法であって、潤滑粘度の油を多量に含む潤滑組成物を前記トランスミッションに供給する工程を含み、ここで該組成物は効果的な量の:
(a) 0.10から1.00重量%の、第一級アルコールから誘導したZDDP(ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛)、
(b) 0.01から0.50重量%の、第二級アルキルアルコールの含量が50重量%以上であるアルコールから誘導したZDDP、
(c) 0.01から1.00重量%の、2,5-ジメルカプト-1,3,4-チアジアゾールまたはその誘導体であるチアジアゾール腐食防止剤
を含む、上記方法。 - 潤滑組成物が、さらに、
(d) 低温で活性を有する脂肪酸第一級アミド摩擦調整剤、
(e) 少なくとも1つの補足の磨耗防止剤、
(f) 少なくとも1つの潤滑油分散剤、
(g) 少なくとも1つの酸化防止剤、および
(h) 少なくとも1つの金属清浄剤
からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記シンクロナイザーが真鍮または焼結銅である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 構成成分(a)および(b)のアルキル基が3個から12個の炭素原子を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 構成成分(c)が2,5-ビス-(ノニルジチオ)-1,3,4-チアジアゾールである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 0.01から1.0重量%の構成成分(d)が存在する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 構成成分(d)がオレアミドである、請求項6に記載の方法。
