Claims (10)
- データ・シンボルのセットを結合式変調シンボルに変調する方法であって、
(a)前記データ・シンボルのセットをデータ・シンボルのM(M>1)個のグループに分割するステップと、
(b)データ・シンボルの各グループを時間領域サブシンボルに変換してM個の時間領域サブシンボルを生成するステップとを含み、
データ・シンボルの各グループの前記変換は、サブキャリアのセットに基づき、前記サブキャリアのセット内で、前記サブキャリアのサブセットだけが、前記データ・シンボルのグループによって変調され、
各グループ内の各データ・シンボルは、前記サブキャリアの対応するサブセット内の異なるサブキャリアを変調し、
サブキャリアのいずれの2つのサブセットも、サブキャリアを共有しないものであり、前記方法はさらに、
(c)結合式変調シンボルが各時間領域サブシンボルよりも長い継続時間を有するよう、前記M個の時間領域サブシンボルを結合して前記結合式変調シンボルを形成するステップを含む、方法。 - 前記サブキャリアのM個のサブセット内のサブキャリアの総数は、前記サブキャリアのセット内のサブキャリアの数に等しい、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ステップ(b)は、変調サブキャリアの各サブセットについて、前記変調サブキャリアのサブセットと1つまたは複数の未変調サブキャリアとの両方を変換して、前記対応する時間領域サブシンボルを形成することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- データ・シンボルの各グループについて、(1)前記変調サブキャリアの数、と(2)前記1つまたは複数の未変調サブキャリアの数、との和は、前記セット内のサブキャリアの総数に等しい、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 各時間領域サブシンボルは、複数の時間領域サンプルで表され、
ステップ(c)は、前記M個のサブシンボルの時間領域サンプルをインタリーブして、前記結合式変調シンボルについてインタリーブされた時間領域サンプルのシーケンスを形成することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記変換は逆高速フーリエ変換(IFFT)であり、
各時間領域サブシンボルはOFDMサブシンボルであり、
前記結合式変調シンボルは結合式OFDMシンボルである、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 結合式変調シンボルを復調データ・シンボルのセットに復調する方法であって、
(a)各時間領域サブシンボルが結合式変調シンボルよりも短い継続時間を有するよう、前記結合式変調シンボルをM(M>1)個の時間領域サブシンボルに分離するステップと、
(b)各時間領域サブシンボルを復調データ・シンボルのグループに変換するステップとを含み、
各時間領域サブシンボルの前記変換は、サブキャリアのセットに基づき、前記サブキャリアのセット内で、前記サブキャリアのサブセットだけが、前記復調データ・シンボルのグループによって変調され、
各グループ内の各復調データ・シンボルは、前記サブキャリアの対応するサブセット内の異なるサブキャリアを変調し、
サブキャリアのいずれの2つのサブセットも、サブキャリアを共有しないものであり、前記方法はさらに、
(c)前記復調データ・シンボルのM個のグループをグループ解除(de-group)して前記復調データ・シンボルのセットを生成するステップを含む、方法。 - 前記結合式変調シンボルは、インタリーブされた時間領域サンプルのシーケンスを含み、
ステップ(a)は、前記インタリーブされた時間領域サンプルをデインタリーブして前記M個の時間領域サブシンボルを得ることを含む、請求項7に記載の方法。 - 前記サブキャリアのM個のサブセット内のサブキャリアの総数は、前記サブキャリアのセット内のサブキャリアの数に等しい、請求項7に記載の方法。
- ステップ(b)は、変調サブキャリアの各サブセットについて、前記変調サブキャリアのサブセットと1つまたは複数の未変調サブキャリアとの両方を変換して、前記復調データ・シンボルの対応するグループを形成することを含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
