Description
(i)第一材料から構成される層または異形材(A)と、
(ii)層または異形材(A)に隣接し、ポリオレフィンを含むベース樹脂を含んでなる組成物から構成されるポリオレフィン層または異形材(B)、
を含んでなる構造部材であって、層または異形材(A)と層または異形材(B)のいずれかまたは両方の表面は、(A)と(B)を互いに隣接させる前に有機ケイ素化合物を含む組成物で処理されていることを特徴とする構造部材を提供する。
好ましくは、有機ケイ素化合物は非ポリマー化合物である。
を一末端に有しビニル基を反対の末端に有する加水分解されたビニルシランである。
からなる群から選択される。
好ましくは、該接着促進性基は極性基である。
第一の実施形態では、内側金属壁の外側表面上に、中間のポリオレフィン接着層を形成し、その上に、順に外側のポリオレフィン保護層を形成する。
1.定義および測定法
a)メルトフローレート
メルトフローレート(MFR)は、ISO 1133に準じて決定され、「g/10分」で表示する。MFRは、ポリマーの流動性、したがって加工性を表示するものである。メルトフローレートが高ければ高いほど、ポリマーの粘度は低い。MFRは、ポリエチレンについては190℃、ポリプロピレンについては230℃で決定される。MFRは、2.16kg(MFR2)、5kg(MFR5)または21.6kg(MFR21)などの異なる荷重で決定してよい。
スチール上のポリマーの接着性は、Instron 1122剥離強度試験装置によってDIN 30670に準じて試験した。3cm幅のストリップをコーティング層から切り取る。ストリップの他端を引張装置に固定し、スチールから10mm/分の引張速度でストリップを引っ張る間、引張強さを測定する。結果はN/cmで表す。
以下の手順に従って、異なった被覆スチール管構造部材を製造した。
パイプ輸送システム、誘導オーブン、エポキシ噴霧ユニット、接着剤ポリマー用押出機、最上層用押出機および冷却槽からなる連続式クロスヘッド押出ライン(side extrusion line)であるスチール管被覆パイロットラインで、コーティングを行った。
スチール管コーティングラインに用いたスチール管は、長さ1mおよび直径100mmである。
清浄なスチールグリットブラスト仕上スチール管をローリング輸送バンド上にセットした。誘導オーブン中、数秒の滞留時間で管表面を180〜220℃まで加熱した。
清浄なスチールグリットブラスト仕上スチール管(比較例1と同じもの)を、ローリング輸送バンド上にセットした。外側の管表面を噴霧によって10%有機シラン−水溶液(Oxsilan MM−0705、Chemetallから入手可能)で湿潤させた。次いで、スチール表面を160℃まで加熱し、接着層を押し出す前に表面を乾燥させた。こうして得られた層の厚みは10マイクロメーターであった。
接着層と仕上塗層の押出は、比較例1と同様にして行った。
接着層と仕上塗層の押出はこれまでの実施例と同様にして行ったが、有機シランもエポキシ層も管表面上に加えない前に行った。
清浄なスチールグリットブラスト仕上スチール管を、ローリング輸送バンド上にセットした。管表面を噴霧によって10%有機シラン−水溶液(Oxsilan MM−0705、Chemetallから入手可能)で湿潤させた。次いで、スチール表面を160℃まで加熱し、表面を乾燥させた。こうして得られた層の厚みは10マイクロメーターであった。
有機シラン溶液によるスチール表面の処理を適用しなかったこと以外は実施例4と同様にして、コーティングを行った。
実施例1〜5の被覆管に対する剥離強度試験の結果を下記の表1に示す。
本明細書の当初の開示は、少なくとも下記の態様を包含する。
〔1〕 (i)第一材料から構成される層または異形材(A)と、
(ii)層または異形材(A)に隣接し、ポリオレフィンを含むベース樹脂を含んでなる組成物から構成されるポリオレフィン層または異形材(B)、
を含んでなる構造部材であって、層または異形材(A)と層または異形材(B)のいずれかまたは両方の表面は、(A)と(B)を互いに隣接させる前に有機ケイ素化合物を含む組成物で処理されていることを特徴とする構造部材。
〔2〕 層または異形材(A)はポリマー組成物、ガラス、金属または金属合金から構成される、〔1〕に記載の構造部材。
〔3〕 層または異形材(A)は金属または金属合金から構成される、〔2〕に記載の構造部材。
〔4〕 層または異形材(A)の表面は、(A)と(B)を互いに隣接させる前に有機ケイ素化合物を含む前記組成物で処理されている、〔1〕〜〔3〕のいずれかに記載の構造部材。
〔5〕 有機ケイ素化合物は、加水分解後にシラノール基を生じる一以上の加水分解性基を含んでなる、〔1〕〜〔4〕のいずれかに記載の構造部材。
〔6〕 有機ケイ素化合物は構造要素:
を含んでなる、〔1〕〜〔5〕のいずれかに記載の構造部材。
〔7〕 層または異形材(A)および/または層または異形材(B)の表面処理は、有機ケイ素化合物の溶液を表面に適用することを含む、〔1〕〜〔6〕のいずれかに記載の構造部材。
〔8〕 層または異形材(B)を構成する組成物のポリオレフィンは接着促進性基を含んでなる、〔1〕〜〔7〕のいずれかに記載の構造部材。
〔9〕 接着促進性基は極性基である、〔8〕に記載の構造部材。
〔10〕 ポリオレフィン中の極性基はアクリレート、カルボン酸およびアミンから選択される、〔9〕に記載の構造部材。
〔11〕 ポリオレフィン中の接着促進性基の量は0.01〜5.0モル%である、〔8〕〜〔10〕のいずれかに記載の構造部材。
〔12〕 層または異形材(B)を構成する組成物のベース樹脂のポリオレフィンは、エチレンホモポリマーまたはコポリマーもしくはプロピレンホモポリマーまたはコポリマーである、〔1〕〜〔11〕のいずれかに記載の構造部材。
〔13〕 第一材料から構成される層または異形材(A)の表面および/またはポリオレフィンを含む組成物から構成されるポリオレフィン層または異形材(B)の表面を、(A)と(B)を互いに隣接させる前に有機ケイ素化合物を含む組成物で処理することを特徴とする、構造部材の製造方法。
〔14〕 〔1〕〜〔12〕に記載の構造部材を含むことを特徴とする物品。
〔15〕 被覆管である、〔14〕に記載の物品。
〔16〕 多層構造部材の層/異形材(A)はスチールから構成され、その外表面は、(A)と(B)を互いに隣接させる前に有機ケイ素化合物を含む組成物で処理されている、〔15〕に記載の被覆管。
〔17〕 ポリオレフィンを含む組成物から構成される層/異形材(B)を含んでなる構造部材における接着促進剤としての、有機ケイ素化合物を含む組成物の使用。
Claims (12)
- 構造部材を含んでなる被覆管であって、該構造部材は、
(i)金属または金属合金から構成される層または異形材(A)と、
(ii)層または異形材(A)に隣接し、ポリオレフィンを含むベース樹脂を含んでなる組成物から構成されるポリオレフィン層または異形材(B)、
を含んでなる構造部材であって、層または異形材(A)の表面は、クロム酸塩で処理することなく、(A)と(B)を互いに隣接させる前に有機ケイ素化合物を含む組成物で処理されていることを特徴とする、被覆管。 - 有機ケイ素化合物は、加水分解後にシラノール基を生じる一以上の加水分解性基を含んでなる、請求項1に記載の被覆管。
- 層または異形材(A)の表面処理は、有機ケイ素化合物の溶液を表面に適用することを含む、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の被覆管。
- 層または異形材(B)を構成する組成物のポリオレフィンは接着促進性基を含んでなる、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の被覆管。
- 接着促進性基は極性基である、請求項5に記載の被覆管。
- ポリオレフィン中の極性基はアクリレート、カルボン酸およびアミンから選択される、請求項6に記載の被覆管。
- ポリオレフィン中の接着促進性基の量は0.01〜5.0モル%である、請求項5〜7のいずれかに記載の被覆管。
- 層または異形材(B)を構成する組成物のベース樹脂のポリオレフィンは、エチレンホモポリマーまたはコポリマーもしくはプロピレンホモポリマーまたはコポリマーである、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の被覆管。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の被覆管の製造方法であって、被覆管に含まれる構造部材は、金属または金属合金から構成される層または異形材(A)の表面を、(A)とポリオレフィンを含む組成物から構成されるポリオレフィン層または異形材(B)を互いに隣接させる前に有機ケイ素化合物を含む組成物で処理することにより製造される、方法。
- 多層構造部材の層/異形材(A)はスチールから構成され、その外表面は、(A)と(B)を互いに隣接させる前に有機ケイ素化合物を含む組成物で処理されている、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の被覆管。
- 請求項1〜9および11のいずれかに記載の被覆管における接着促進剤としての、有機ケイ素化合物を含む組成物の使用であって、層または異形材(A)の表面は、クロム酸塩で処理することなく、(A)と(B)を互いに隣接させる前に有機ケイ素化合物を含む該組成物で処理されていることを特徴とする使用。
