Claims (7)
- マトリクス状に配設された複数の走査ラインと複数のデータラインとの各交差部に有機EL素子が配置されてなる表示パネルと、前記走査ラインの電位を順次切り替える切り替え手段と、前記データラインに対して入力データに応じた電流を供給するデータ電流供給手段と、を備えた有機EL発光装置であって、
前記有機EL素子の駆動方式の選択操作に応答して第1及び第2の制御信号の1を択一的に生成する駆動方式選択手段と、
前記データ電流供給手段に対して、前記第1の制御信号に応じて画像データを前記入力データとして供給し、前記第2の制御信号に応じて照明データを前記入力データとして供給する入力データ供給手段と、
前記有機EL素子の各々に駆動電圧を供給する電源回路とを含み、
前記切り替え手段は、前記第1の制御信号に応じて前記走査ライン毎に所定電位を順次印加する順次走査モードを実行し、前記第2の制御信号に応じて複数の走査ラインに前記所定電位を一斉に印加する一斉走査モードを実行し、
前記電源回路は、前記第1の制御信号に応じて前記駆動電圧を第1の電圧値に設定する一方、前記第2の制御信号に応じて前記駆動電圧を前記第1の電圧値よりも低い第2の電圧値に設定することを特徴とする有機EL発光装置。 - 前記有機EL素子の発光色毎の発光輝度を指定する発光色指定手段を更に含み、
前記照明データは、前記発光色指定手段により指定された前記有機EL素子の発光色毎の輝度データであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機EL発光装置。 - 前記発光色指定手段は、前記有機EL素子の発光色毎の発光輝度設定を複数保持するプリセットメモリと、前記プリセットメモリに保持された設定のうちの1つを選択するプリセット選択手段と、を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の有機EL発光装置。
- 前記発光色指定手段は、前記有機EL素子の発光輝度に対応した数値入力に基づき発光色毎の発光輝度を指定することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の有機EL発光装置。
- 前記発光色指定手段は、前記有機EL素子の発光輝度に対応した操作入力に基づき発光色毎の発光輝度を指定することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の有機EL発光装置。
- 前記切り替え手段が、前記第2の制御信号に応じて前記所定の電位を印加すべき走査ラインを指定する発光領域指定手段をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか1つに記載の有機EL発光装置。
- 前記有機EL素子の発光色は赤、緑、青の3種類であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれか1つに記載の有機EL発光装置。
