Claims (1)
- エンジンの排気通路に設けられて排気中の微粒子を捕集するフィルタと、このフィルタの下流に設けられて還元剤としての尿素水の供給を受けることにより排気中のNOxを還元する還元触媒とを用いてエンジンの排気を浄化する方法であって、
前記フィルタの微粒子捕集量が第1の所定量αより多くなるまでの間、該捕集微粒子を第1の量燃焼させ、前記還元触媒に第1の量の尿素水を供給する第1の工程と、
前記フィルタの微粒子捕集量が前記第1の所定量αより多くなってから第2の所定量βより少なくなるまでの間、該捕集微粒子を前記第1の量よりも多い第2の量燃焼させて前記フィルタを再生すると共に、前記還元触媒に前記第1の量よりも多い第2の量の尿素水を供給する第2の工程とを行い、
前記第1の工程では、前記フィルタに第1の温度の排気を供給することにより、捕集微粒子を第1の量燃焼させ、前記第2の工程では、気筒サイクルにおける燃料供給終了時期が前記第1の工程よりも遅くなるように燃焼室に燃料を供給して、前記フィルタに前記第1の温度よりも高い第2の温度の排気を供給することにより、捕集微粒子を第2の量燃焼させると共に、
前記第1の工程では、前記フィルタより上流の排気通路から第1のEGR量の排気を吸気通路に導き、前記第2の工程では、前記フィルタより上流の排気通路から前記第1のEGR量よりも少ない第2のEGR量の排気を吸気通路に導き、かつ、
前記第1の工程及び前記第2の工程では、エンジン回転数及び/又はエンジン負荷が高いほど尿素水の供給量を多くし、前記第2の工程では、還元触媒より上流の排気温度が高いほど尿素水の供給量を多くすることを特徴とするエンジンの排気浄化方法。
