なお、本発明に係る透光性セラミックの組成には、本発明の目的を損わない範囲で、不可避的に混入する不純物が含まれていてもよい。たとえば原料として用いる酸化物もしくは炭酸塩に含まれる不純物や作製工程中で混入する不純物として、SiO2、Fe2O3、B2O3、CaO、Al2O3、WO3、Bi2O3、Sb2O5、およびLa2O3等の希土類酸化物などが挙げられる。
(式中、nは屈折率を表し、添え字は入射光の波長を表す。ただし、g線の波長は435.83nm、F線の波長は486.13nm、C線の波長は656.27nmである。)
また、アッベ数νdは、式2で表される。

すなわち、異常分散性が高いということは、屈折率の波長分散が通常のガラス光学材料と異なるということであり、光学系の色収差補正に有用となる。
実験例1は、本発明の前述した第1の形態に対応している。
この式からアッベ数(νd)算出に必要な3波長(F線:486.13nm、d線:587.56nm、C線:656.27nm)での屈折率を求め、前掲のアッベ数の定義式:式2からアッベ数を算出した。
実験例2は、本発明の前述した第2の形態に対応している。
実験例3も、実験例2と同様、本発明の前述した第2の形態に対応している。ただし、3価の金属元素として、実験例2ではInおよびYを用いたが、実験例3では、Sc、Ho、TbおよびSmを用いた。
実験例4は、本発明の前述した第3の形態に対応している。
実験例5では、実験例1における試料5の組成を基本としながら、この試料5に対して、一般式:(Sr1-sBas){Mx(Mg1-tZnt)y(Ta1-uNbu)z}vOwで表される組成において、Ba/Sr比(=s)のみを変化させた、表8に示す各試料が得られるように、各原料を秤量した。
Claims (10)
- 一般式:(Sr1-sBas)(MxB1yB2z)vOwで表されるペロブスカイト型化合物を主成分とする、透光性セラミック。
ただし、B1は、Mg、Zn、In、Y、Sc、Ho、TbおよびSmから選ばれる少なくとも1種であり、
B2は、TaおよびNbから選ばれる少なくとも1種であり、
Mは、Ti、Sn、ZrおよびHfから選ばれる少なくとも1種であり、
0.05≦s<1、
0≦x≦0.7、
1.00≦z/y≦2.20、
1.00≦v≦1.07、および
x+y+z=1の各条件を満足し、
wは電気的中性を保つために必要な正の数である。 - B1は、MgおよびZnから選ばれる少なくとも1種であり、
0.02≦x≦0.70、および
1.80≦z/y≦2.20の各条件を満足する、請求項1に記載の透光性セラミック。 - B1は、In、Y、Sc、Ho、TbおよびSmから選ばれる少なくとも1種であり、
0≦x≦0.45、
1.00≦z/y≦1.04、および
1.00≦v≦1.05の各条件を満足する、請求項1に記載の透光性セラミック。 - B1は、MgおよびZnから選ばれる少なくとも1種と、In、Y、Sc、Ho、TbおよびSmから選ばれる少なくとも1種とを含む、請求項1に記載の透光性セラミック。
- 波長が633nmである可視光の、試料厚み0.4mmにおける直線透過率が20%以上である、請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の透光性セラミック。
- 波長が633nmである可視光の屈折率が2.01以上である、請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の透光性セラミック。
- 多結晶体である、請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の透光性セラミック。
- 請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の透光性セラミックを製造する方法であって、
セラミック原料粉末を所定形状に成形してなる未焼成のセラミック成形体を用意する工程と、
前記セラミック原料粉末と実質的に同組成の同時焼成用組成物を用意する工程と、
前記同時焼成用組成物を前記未焼成のセラミック成形体に接触させながら、酸素濃度が90体積%以上の雰囲気中で、前記未焼成のセラミック成形体を焼成する工程と
を備える、透光性セラミックの製造方法。 - 請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の透光性セラミックからなる光学部品。
- 請求項9に記載の光学部品が搭載されている光学装置。
