Description
本発明は、内燃機関の機関ポペット弁を制御する弁制御システムに関し、特に、弁停止型の弁制御システムに関する。
次に、本発明を限定するものではない図面を参照すると、図1は、全体的に11で指定され、弁棒部13を含む機関ポペット弁を制御する弁制御システムを示している。当業者には、本発明が特定の種類または構成の機関ポペット弁、たとえば、中空ではなく中実の機関ポペット弁、深絞り成形ではなく鋳造された機関ポペット弁などに限定されないことが容易に理解されよう。
Claims (6)
- 気筒ヘッド、ならびにベース円形部(45)およびリフト部(47)を有するカム形状を形成するカムシャフト(43)の回転に応答して前記気筒ヘッド(17)に対して鉛直方向に閉位置と開位置との間を移動可能な機関ポペット弁(11)と、前記カム形状に係合するカムフォロアー(31)を含み、前記機関ポペット弁(11)の弁棒先端部(13)に係合する弁先端パッド(37)を一方の軸方向端部に形成し、さらに前記弁先端パッド(37)の軸方向反対側の端部に支点面(33)を形成する第1のロッカーアーム(27)と、前記気筒ヘッドに対して鉛直方向にのみ移動できるように前記気筒ヘッドに対して固定され、前記第1のロッカーアーム(27)の前記支点面(33)に係合する支点部を含むラッシュ補償装置(35)と、前記機関ポペット弁(11、13)に対して配置された鉛直方向上端、および鉛直方向下端とを有する弁戻しばね(41)とを含む、内燃機関用の弁制御システム(15)であって、
(a)前記第1のロッカーアーム(27)の鉛直方向下方に配置され、前記気筒ヘッド(17)に対して固定されたピボット位置(23、53)を含む停止ロッカーアーム(51)と、
(b)前記停止ロッカーアーム(51)は、軸方向に前記ピボット位置(23、53)に向かい合って配置された第1および第2の端部(55、61)を有し、前記第1の端部(55)が、鉛直方向に前記弁戻しばね(41)の前記下端に対して固定され、前記第2の端部(61)が、鉛直方向に前記ラッシュ補償装置(35)の下端に対して固定されていることと、
(c)前記気筒ヘッド(17)に対して固定され、前記ラッシュ補償装置(35)と前記停止ロッカーアーム(51)の前記第2の端部(61)のいずれか一方に動作可能に結合され、
(i)ラッチ状態では、前記ラッシュ補償装置(35)の鉛直方向の移動を防止し、
(ii)ラッチ解除状態では、前記第2の端部(61)の鉛直下向きの移動を可能にし、したがって、前記第1のロッカーアーム(27)が前記機関ポペット弁(11)の前記弁棒先端部(13)の周りをピボット運動し、かつ前記停止ロッカーアーム(51)の前記第1の端部(55)の鉛直方向上向きの移動を可能にし、前記弁戻しばね(41)を圧縮するラッチ部材(65)とを特徴とする、弁制御システム(15)。 - 前記弁戻しばね(41)は、前記ラッチ部材(65)が前記ラッチ解除状態であるとき、前記停止ロッカーアーム(51)および前記ラッシュ補償装置(35)用の空動きばねとして働くことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の弁制御システム(15)。
- 前記気筒ヘッドは、くぼみを形成し、前記弁制御システムは、前記くぼみ内に配置されるようになっているモジュールハウジング(17)を含み、前記モジュールハウジング(17)は、鉛直の穴(19)を形成し、前記ラッシュ補償装置(35)は、前記鉛直の穴(19)内に往復運動可能に配置されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の弁制御システム(15)。
- 前記停止ロッカーアーム(51)の前記ピボット位置(23、53)は、前記モジュールハウジング(17)に対して固定された部材(53)を有し、前記停止ロッカーアーム(51)は、前記モジュールハウジング(17)内に配置され、前記ラッチ部材(65)は、前記モジュールハウジング内に配置され、前記ラッチ状態と前記ラッチ解除状態との間のみを前記モジュールハウジングに対して移動できるように固定されることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の弁制御システム(15)。
- 前記弁戻しばね(41)は、前記弁戻しばねの前記鉛直方向下端に動作可能に結合されたシート部材(59)を有し、前記シート部材(59)は前記停止ロッカーアーム(51)の前記第1の端部(55)に係合する部分(57)を含み、前記第1の端部(55)が鉛直方向上向きに移動することによって、前記シート部材(59)が鉛直方向に移動し、前記弁戻しばね(41)を圧縮することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の弁制御システム(15)。
- 前記停止ロッカーアーム(51)は、前記ピボット位置(23、53)から前記第2の端部(61)までの距離が前記ピボット位置(23、53)から前記第1の端部(55)までの距離より長くなるように構成され、前記ラッチ解除状態では、前記リフト部(47)と前記カムフォロアー(31)が係合することによって前記ラッシュ補償装置(35)が下向きに押されるが、前記機関ポペット弁(11)が下向きに押されることはないことを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の弁制御システム(15)。
