Description
多数の歯科用ガラス及び他の光学ガラスが先行技術から知られている。
このガラスはまたCs2Oを0〜2モル%含有することができる。このCs2O含量、及び恐らく0〜1モル%の量でのみ存在するBaO、SrO、PbOなどのX線不透過剤は、このガラス系では高いX線不透過性を達成できないことを意味する。6〜18モル%のK2O含量も、非常に良好な耐性は達成されないことを意味する。

を含有し、1.480〜1.517の屈折率nd及び少なくとも180%のアルミニウム等価厚を有するBaO−フリー及び/又はPbO−フリーのX線不透過性ガラスが提供される。好ましい実施態様及び用途は、従属請求項に示されている。
本発明の他の効果は、以下の説明からさらに明らかであろう。
本発明に係るガラスの好ましい実施態様は、SiO2を64〜69質量%含有する。64〜68質量%のSiO2含量が特に好ましい。
しかしながら、アルカリ金属酸化物は、ガラスの耐薬品性を低減し得る。アルカリ金属酸化物の合計含量は、好ましくは11〜17質量%、特に好ましくは12〜16質量%である。
本発明に係るガラス中のアルカリ金属酸化物の含量は、個々には、K2Oは2〜7質量%、Na2Oは0〜3質量%、Cs2Oは6〜13質量%、Li2Oは0〜1質量%である。
本発明に係るガラスは、好ましくはCeO2及びTiO2も含有しない。
しかしながら、La2O3含量は、好ましくは2.5〜6質量%、特に好ましくは3〜5.5質量%である。
従って、本発明に係るガラスは、好ましくは0.5〜3質量%、特に好ましくは1〜3質量%のAl2O3を含有する。
表1に、本発明の組成範囲内の好ましい6つの例示的な実施例を示す。尚、組成に関する詳細は、すべて質量%で与えられている。
各実施例に記載されているガラスは、以下のようにして製造した:
清澄剤なしで酸化物用の原料を計量し、次いで充分に混合する。ガラスバッチはバッチ式溶解装置内で約1580℃で溶解され、次いで清澄、均質化される。ガラスは、リボンとして、あるいは他の所望の寸法で、約1640℃の温度で注入でき、また加工できる。大容量の連続装置では少なくとも約100Kだけ温度を低くすることができる。
さらに、本発明に係るガラスは、比較的容易に溶融し、従って低コストで製造することができる。

MgO 0〜2%、
WO3 0〜3%、
Nb2O5 0〜3%、
HfO2 0〜3%、
Ta2O5 0〜3%、
Gd2O3 0〜3%、
Sc2O3 0〜3%、
Y2O3 0〜3%、
SnO2 0〜2%
を含有する請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載のX線不透過性ガラス。 - SrOを含有していない請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載のX線不透過性ガラス。
- 請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載のX線不透過性ガラスを酸化物基準で少なくとも95質量%の割合で含むX線不透過性ガラス。
- 請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載のX線不透過性ガラスのガラス粉末としての使用。
- 存在する粉末粒子の表面がシラン化されている請求項8に記載の使用。
- 歯科用ガラスとしての、歯修復用複合材の充填剤としての、歯科用合成樹脂を含有する歯科用ガラス/合成樹脂複合材を製造するための、歯科用合成樹脂組成物におけるX線不透過剤としての、光学用途のための、電子部品のカバーガラスとしての、ディスプレイ技術における、光電池における基板ガラスとしての、OLED用の基板ガラス及び/又はカバーガラスとしての、ランプガラスとしての、生化学用途のための基板ガラスとしての、PVDプロセスにおけるターゲット材料としての、又はガラスファイバーのコアガラス及び/又はクラッドガラスとしての請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載のX線不透過性ガラスの使用。
- 前記歯科用合成樹脂は、アクリレート、メタクリレート、2,2−ビス[4−(3−メタクリロキシ−2−ヒドロキシプロポキシ)フェニル]プロパン(ビス−GMA)、ウレタンメタクリレート、アルカンジオールジメタクリレート又はシアノアクリレートをベースとする紫外線硬化性樹脂である請求項10に記載のX線不透過性ガラスの使用。
- 前記電子部品はセンサーである請求項10に記載のX線不透過性ガラスの使用。
