Description
そのため、溶着ホーン221,222と受け治具231,232とは、互いに鉛直方向に押圧し合って溶着部での超音波溶着が行われるようになる。
したがって、トナー収容容器を小型化しようとすると、上述したフランジが阻害要因となって小型化が困難となったり、他の機能部品のレイアウトの自由度が妨げられる等の問題がある。
また、被係合部4で受け治具6を受けるようにすることで、溶着時の例えば溶着治具7と受け治具6との距離を短くすることができ、接合材1と被接合材2との溶着強度を高くすることができると共に、溶着接合部5での接合が確実に行われるようになる。更に、溶着時にフランジ等の発生を防ぐことも可能になり、小型化に有利な接合が行われるようになる。尚、被係合部4の形状としては、受け治具6が装着可能であれば、例えば接合材1若しくは被接合材2から突出するかどうかについては、特に限定されない。
また、被係合部4としては、前記凹部の周縁の一部に受け治具6を凹部へガイドするガイド突起を備えるようにすることが好ましく、これによれば、受け治具6をセットする際凹部への受け治具6の装着が容易になり、受け治具6の装着時に凹部の角部に当たって部材を破損することがないようになる。そして、このガイド突起を凹部の上縁の一部に設けるようにすれば、受け治具6を凹部に装着する際に溶着接合部5の嵌合状態に影響することがなく、そのまま溶着ができるようになることから一層好ましい。
また、本発明では、受け治具6と溶着治具7とは、互いに交差する方向に押圧し合うようになっているため、受け治具6と溶着治具7を近接配置できると共に接合材1と被接合材2との接合を一層安定させることができるようになる。尚、押圧し合うことによって、溶着接合部5が位置ずれを起こさないようになるが、被係合部4が変形しない程度の押圧力が付与されることは云うまでもない。
また、この接合組立体にて接合された粉体容器を用い、この粉体容器から粉体を供給し、または、当該粉体容器に粉体を収容することで、小型化された粉体処理装置を提供することが可能になる。更に、粉体を現像剤とすることで、小型化された現像剤カートリッジ、プロセスカートリッジ、廃トナーボックス、現像装置、画像形成装置を提供することが可能になる。
更にまた、上述した接合組立体を組み立てる組立方法並びに組立治具を提供できる。
◎実施の形態1
図2は、本発明が適用されたプロセスカートリッジが搭載された画像形成装置を示す。
同図において、本実施の形態の画像形成装置は所謂タンデム型のカラー画像形成装置であり、装置筐体21内に4色(本実施の形態ではイエロー、マゼンタ、シアン、ブラック)の画像形成ユニット22(22a〜22d)を縦方向に配列し、その下方には供給用の用紙24が収容される給紙カセット23を配設すると共に、各画像形成ユニット22に対応した箇所には給紙カセット23からの用紙24の搬送路となる用紙搬送路25を垂直方向に配置したものである。
一方、露光装置40は、ケース41内に図示外の半導体レーザ、ポリゴンミラー42、結像レンズ43及びミラー44を格納し、半導体レーザからのレーザ光をポリゴンミラー42、結像レンズ43、ミラー44を介して感光体ドラム31上の露光ポイントに導くようにしたものである。
この搬送ベルト53は用紙24を静電吸着し得るベルト素材(ゴム又は樹脂)にて構成され、一対の張架ロール51,52に掛け渡されており、本実施の形態では、上方側の張架ロール52が駆動ロール、下方側の張架ロール51が従動ロールになっている。
更に、最下流画像形成ユニット22dの下流側の用紙搬送路25には、例えば加熱ロールと加圧ロールからなる定着装置64が設けられると共に、この定着装置64の下流側には用紙排出用の排出ロール66が設けられており、装置筐体21の上部に形成された収容トレイ67に排出用紙が収容されるようになっている。
今、図2に示すように、各画像形成ユニット22では、感光体ドラム31が帯電ロール32により帯電され、露光装置40により感光体ドラム31上に潜像が形成された後に、現像装置33により可視像(トナー像)が形成される。
一方、給紙カセット23からの用紙24はピックアップロール61にて所定のタイミングで繰り出され、搬送ロール62及びレジストレーションロール63を介して搬送ベルト53の吸着位置へと送り込まれ、搬送ベルト53に吸着された状態で転写位置へと送り込まれるようになっている。
そして、各画像形成ユニット22における感光体ドラム31上のトナー像は転写ロール50により用紙24に順次重ね転写され、定着装置64にて用紙24上の各色成分未定着トナー像が定着された後、定着済みの用紙24は収容トレイ67へ排出される。
そして、プロセスカートリッジ30には、感光体ドラム31の軸方向に直交する方向に延びる一対の支持突起91がプロセスカートリッジ30の感光体ドラム31の位置とは反対側に設けられている。この一対の支持突起91は、装置筐体21のカートリッジ受部(図示せず)にプロセスカートリッジ30を装着した時に、感光体ドラム31の支持軸の両端が、カートリッジ受部に設けられた図示外の固定受け部材により所定位置に固定されると共に、前記支持軸に対して回転自在な感光体ドラム31の片端に配設された駆動伝達部材(駆動伝達ギア)が、カートリッジ受部に設けられた図示外の駆動系に連結係合するようになっている。また、前記一対の支持突起91がカートリッジ受部の被係合部(凹部や孔等)に係合し、感光体カートリッジ30aが装置筐体21に位置決め固定されるようになっている。ここで、装置筐体21のカートリッジ受部はプロセスカートリッジ30を収容保持できるものであればよく、筐体フレーム自体を用いて構成してもよいし、筐体フレームに別部材を設けて構成してもよい。
一方、感光体ドラム31側に設けられた一対の把手アーム92は、装置筐体21へのプロセスカートリッジ30の着脱操作性を確保するためのものである。
尚、図3(a)は、図2のプロセスカートリッジ30を略正面方向から示した斜視図であり、(b)は、(a)を反対側から見た斜視図となっている。
そして、アッパーケース71及びロワケース81の一辺には、本件の特徴点である溶着時の受け治具が係合可能な被係合部としての凹部73,83が夫々設けられている。
尚、本実施の形態では、アッパーケース71、ボトムケース72、ロワケース81、トップケース82共に熱可塑性樹脂のABS樹脂にて構成されている。また、図中、符号93は、感光体カートリッジ30aと現像カートリッジ30bの間に設けられた弾性部材からなるスペーサであり、感光体カートリッジ30aに対して現像カートリッジ30bを加圧付勢するようにしている。尚、本実施の形態では、このスペーサ93を介して感光体カートリッジ30a側に収容されたトナーが現像カートリッジ30b側に導かれるようになっている。
そして、受け治具100並びに溶着ホーン110は、互いに略直交する方向に押圧(図の矢印A,B方向に押圧)されて、溶着ホーン110からの超音波エネルギーによって発生した摩擦熱により、ロワケース81の端部81aとトップケース82の受部82aの相互の樹脂表面が溶融されて固着するようになる。
尚、本実施の形態では、ロワケース81及びトップケース82は共に、熱可塑性樹脂のABS樹脂を使用しているが、使用される材料としてはこれに限定されず、他の樹脂であっても超音波溶着が可能な材料であればよい。また、溶着ホーン110は、直接トップケース82に押し当てるようにしているが、例えば別途押し当て治具を設けて、この押し当て治具を介して溶着ホーン110を押し当てるようにしてもよい。
このようなギア列120を構成するためには、例えばロワケース81に設けられた凹部83と同じ面にギア列120を収容するボスを突出させる必要がある。そのため、このような場合にロワケース81とトップケース82とを溶着するには、図6で示すような方法は採用されず、ボスの突出を考慮した溶着方法(溶着による接合方法)が採られる。
このように受け治具100がロワケース81の凹部83に挿入されると共に、トップケース82の接合部位(溶着接合部)上部には図示外の溶着ホーンが押し当てられ、受け治具100と溶着ホーンとの間で超音波溶着がなされるようになる。
図11は、そのことを示す模式図で、例えば下ケース150には溶着用の受け治具100が係合する凹部151を有し、上ケース160の受部(一部斜面を形成する)161に嵌合される。このとき、下ケース150と上ケース160との溶着接合部は、互いの斜面152,161によって接触するように構成される。
このような形状で、下ケース150の凹部151には溶着用の受け治具100の突起部100aが挿入される一方、上ケース160外面には溶着ホーン110が押し当てられる。この場合、受け治具100と溶着ホーン110とは、互いに略直交する方向に押圧し合う(図中矢印A,B方向)ようになるが、下ケース150及び上ケース160の溶着接合部に相当する夫々の斜面152,161には、押圧される分力が有効に作用し、互いに斜面152,161に対し略直交する力成分F1,F2が加わるようになる。そのため、この微小なエリアに集中的に圧力が印加されるようになり、溶着による下ケース150と上ケース160との固着が一層強固になされるようになる。
このような構成においても、図11同様、溶着時の受け治具100と溶着ホーン110との押圧力によって有効に斜面181,183に圧力が作用するようになり、下ケース170と上ケース180との固着が強固になされるようになる。
また、溶着接合部の少なくとも一部の表面に微小突起を設け、溶着時にこの微小突起を優先的に溶融させるようにして溶着を一層容易にさせるようにしてもよい。
更に、溶着接合部の一方にのみ斜面を設け、溶着時に相手材の角を優先的に溶融させるようにしても差し支えない。
図13は、本発明が適用された溶着接合機構が用いられた実施の形態2を示す。同図において、本実施の形態は、例えばトナーカートリッジ等の円筒形容器191へカバー192を溶着する例を示したものである。
同図において、本実施の形態は、円筒形容器191の開口部にカバー192が溶着されるように構成されており、カバー192が被せられた状態で、円筒形容器191の外周面に設けられた凹部191aに溶着用の分割された2個の受け治具193,194が互いに対向する方向から装着されるようになっている。尚、図中符号195は、溶着時に円筒形容器191を保持する型ケースである。
そして、カバー192の表面に図示外の溶着ホーンが押し当てられ、溶着がなされるようになる。
このように、本実施の形態においても、溶着による強固な接合機構がなし得るようになる。
Claims (7)
- 少なくとも端面が溶着接合面として接合可能な接合材と、
この接合材の前記溶着接合面が接合される接合受部を有する被接合材とを備え、
接合材及び被接合材の一方の部材の外面のうち前記接合材と前記被接合材とが溶着される溶着接合部を挟んで他方の部材とは反対側に位置する部位には、外面よりくぼむ凹部からなり且つ熱溶着法による溶着時に外面よりくぼむ方向に押圧される受け治具が係合される被係合部を設けると共に、
他方の部材の外面のうち前記溶着接合部を挟んで前記被係合部とは反対側に位置する部位を前記受け治具の押圧方向と交差する方向に押圧される溶着治具の当接面とし、
前記接合材の端面及び前記被接合材の接合受部は、少なくとも一部が、前記受け治具及び前記溶着治具の押圧方向に対して共に交差し、かつ、前記受け治具及び前記溶着治具による押圧力の分圧成分が互いに押し合う方向に作用するように傾斜する斜面にて構成されていることを特徴とする接合組立体。 - 請求項1記載の接合組立体において、
前記受け治具が前記被係合部にのみ接触するものであることを特徴とする接合組立体。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の接合組立体において、
被係合部は、凹部の周縁の一部に受け治具を凹部へガイドするガイド突起を備えることを特徴とする接合組立体。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の接合組立体にて接合された粉体容器を備え、
この粉体容器から粉体を供給し、または、当該粉体容器に粉体を収容するようにしたことを特徴とする粉体処理装置。 - 請求項4記載の粉体処理装置において、
粉体が現像剤であることを特徴とする粉体処理装置。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の接合組立体を組み立てる組立方法であって、
接合材若しくは被接合材のいずれか一方の部材の外面に設けられた被係合部に受け治具を装着し、他方の部材の外面に溶着治具を当てて熱溶着法によって接合材と被接合材とを接合することを特徴とする接合組立体の組立方法。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の接合組立体を組み立てる治具であって、
接合材若しくは被接合材のいずれか一方の部材の外面の被係合部に装着される受け治具と、他方の部材の外面に押圧される溶着治具とを備え、受け治具は被係合部に装着可能な突出部を具備することを特徴とする接合組立体の組立治具。
